Long Beach Boot Camp Rookies
So nice to meet you here! I'm glad you're taking the time to check out the site. There is so much good information on here, read, read, read! Instead of watching the t.v. for a half an hour each day replace that time with doing some research and investing in your health and wellness! You can't go wrong! Some of you, I know, can become a little obsessive over, a t.v. series, sports, work and even food. If you can become more conscious of your dieting and habits and can slowly replace bad with good, these are the actions necessary to get you the results you're looking for! I will be helping you and guiding you but you have to make the decision for yourself to start obssessing about your quality of life!!!! Good luck on this 6 week journey!

My name is Sandy and I have been married 23 years to a great guy and two wonderful boys. My oldest just finished his first year of college and my youngest just finished his first year of high school. I have struggled with my weight for about 20 years and have gone up and down so often. But this time is different for some reason. I am beyond motivated and am so excited about doing boot camp.
I joined Weight Watchers about 7 weeks ago so I have the food part down but have been lacking in the exercise portion, no more. This is the first step and I can not wait. I have so many people supporting me that I can not lose, I will win. I am looking forward to the next 6 weeks and beyond.
Bless
Sandy

I'm excited for tomorrow! I better get to sleep...

Rookie Andrea here. I really like this tool - I've done boot camps before but I realize that exercise only is not going to do it - I've really got to be vigilant about my diet and writing everything down has really helped. I manage to control my eating, even while on a super-stressful business trip this week that usually leads me to indulging. Thanks Rebecca! I look forward to tomorrow (Saturday).
Very good Andrea,
And let me remind you.. When I went from 155 lbs. to 130 lbs. I did it still eating a lot of the foods I enjoyed and without exercise. When I went from 130 lbs. to 120 lbs. I cut back on things I like breads and pastas got more serious about eating 4-6 times a day. Recently, I've went from 22% body fat. to 17% by cutting back on the fattier stuff and eating my daily recommended portions of more fruits and veggies, and shakes to fill in the gaps. If you think about it, we are so caught up in what taste good, we forget about the food pyramid. See if you were to fill up on what we're supposed to eat before the junk. We prob wouldn't make it to the junk. I look forward to our workout on Saturday! I" so happy you are taking advantage of all the tools I've suggested. You get extra credit!!! ![]()
I did get good sleep! At least better than Monday night (nervous for the first day I guess...or nervous I would sleep in!). Luckily I had the energy to get through both days so far!
