I started counting calories about 6 weeks ago and it hasn't been until the past couple of weeks that I've seen any significant loss. However, the first 3-4 weeks were spent figuring things out and shrinking my appetite. (I started at 210 and I'm 5'2")
CC calculated I needed 1850 cals per day to lose one lb a week. This calorie amount resulted in less than half a pound per week. I finally bumped my cals down to 1600 cals a day and it has made a huge difference. I am now down 9 lbs... most of which has come off in the past 2-3 weeks since making the calorie adjustment.
Even though the first few weeks were hard because I wasn't losing much, it was a good transition to the lower calories I have now. Hope this helps... :)
