Do you like long hair (on women)?  At what point does it go from looking good to looking creepy?  At what age does it become weird to have really long hair?

Want to see the ultimate head of hair that makes guys absolutely drop their jaws?  Look at a picture of Jenna Lee, host of Fox Business morning.  Simply awesome.

Yes, I understand not everyone has that much hair (think she uses clip extensions?) and it's too much work unless you are in show biz.  Still, most guys would agree that's ideal ... or pretty close to it.

Ye Gods, that's horrid.  It looks like a wig!  I would have laughed if I saw her on TV...

Yell Oooh nu. I like it! ( I thought it was going to be something totally different before viewing the image. Wow. )

I think it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so BIG.  Every once in a while I see some girl with scene hair...and its really hard for me to not laugh

Texas Hair. :) I <3 big hair. Not for every occasion but I like it. Not like: Beehives style/giant though.

heh ann richards hair

RIP lady

For long hair, I prefer this style.

And for short, other than a pixie cut, I like this style alot.

I agree! Sexy, elegant, without looking fake forced and overprocessed.

you need to understand that first impressions are unavoidable, and sometimes very accurate... the way you look tells a lot about who you are (whether you 'care' or not)

you wouldn't go to an important job interview in sweats, greasy hair, and a stained shirt would you? I sure hope not... and if you have, I bet you never got a call back.

it's okay to be comfy and lazy every once in a while... hell I do it all the time, BUT I do it at home, or at the grocery store. You know somewhere that it doesn't matter so much what you look like... But I would never ever go to work dressed like a slob, or go over to someone's house looking like I just rolled in a mud pile. Not only does that show laziness and a lack of self respect, but it shows a lack of respect for the work place or for another person.

If my boyfriend came over looking like crap on a daily basis, I would get the impression that he doesn't care enough about me to try and look good, or maybe I'm not important enough, that my opinion is irrelavant.

if the real you is very laid back, then I would suggest that you don't get a 'fancy' job that requires a strict dress code if you can't keep up with appearances

don't think that only personality matters.. self presentation is the first thing seen and first thing judged, you're personality will never be noticed if someone has no desire to talk to you based on how you present yourself

harsh but true

please people, practise proper hygiene.. it only takes minutes out of your day and will make all the difference

ahh.. superficiality at its finest. what i love about humans most.

yes, because regularly washing yourself is REALLY superficial

I'm sorry I don't like the smell of BO and the feeling of greasy knotted hair

there is nothing wrong with taking care of yourself

go tell your cat or dog next time he's licking himself clean to stop being so stuck up and superficial

Oh geez if this is true I wonder how I've survived all these years! When I go to work in the field I'm often covered in dirt and, depending on the location, do not have access to running water for weeks but I still get plenty of booty ;). I guess archaeologists are just special or maybe I look hot with dirty hippy hair!! Haha I often go to work in dirty cloths.

P.S. I love long hair it's fun to play with but it's also hard to deal with!

That picture above of Jenna has her hair a little too swoopy ... like she's trying too hard.  It looked much nicer, more natural this morning. Wink  Still, she looks stunning and that gorgeous, generous mop of hair is probably what most guys (being honest) would say looks best.

Sorry, gotta disagree, looks awful to me. Almost like a wig...

I prefer hair styles that look more natural and less hair sprayed.

dear cptbunny,

if you ever EVER see my hair looking like this, please do me a favor and set my head on fire.

i would be eternally grateful.

sincerely,

watergirl

Long hair is favored by guys at least 2:1 if not 3:1 over short hair.  It's soft and feminine ... what's not to like? Laughing...

As I said earlier, I have short hair.  Asymmetric bob dyed auburn.  This morning I had to stop off at the gas station, and while I was standing in line, some random guy came up to me and said,"I love your hair, it's really pretty".  It always seems strange to get a compliment from a complete stranger, but the first think I thought was, I have to post this on CC!  So I guess he was one of the 1's in the 2:1 or 3:1.  Or, those ratios are totally off and my short hair rocks ;)

For non-long hair, a bob is my favorite style.  I particularly like this one

My little sister has one and she's always complimented on it. It's very pretty, imo.

I encouraged her to get one for two months last spring. :) She says she's never felt better about her hair. She actually turns twenty the end of this month. ( Her boyfriend didn't want her to cut her long hair. Once it was done he was very pleased by it though.)

My dad is one of those rare guys who prefers short hair on women.  The pixie cut is his al ltime favorite haircut, and he makes sure everyone knows it!  Every time I get my hair cut, he asks me if I'm getting a pixie.  He carries around a picture of me from kindergarten when I had a pixie cut and shows it to everyone saying how cute I was and how I should get my hair done like that again Cool

I like a pixie on some girls, like girls with small, delicate features.  I don't think it would work on me.  I'd look like a guy, and I'm tall, so people would be calling me "SIR" all over the place.

I'm a guy and 99.9% of the time I *hate* short hair on women. There are very few who can pull it off. I'm just not a fan.

I don't really have a personal preference for women.  It really depends on there face structure and hair type.  I have very thin hair so I can't pull off long or even medium length styles.  Short is the only thing that works for me.  I love my asymmetric bob.

I really don't like long hair on men though.  If there is going to be any length at all, its gotta only be on the top, like a fauxe hawk.  yummy.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I find men exponentially more attractive with long hair. I dated a guy whose hair was longer than mine, and while it wasn't longer than my current hair (the longest part reaches mid-back, but it's layered), it was damn close. While I certainly don't prever medieval wizard/thrash metalhead hair like that (a bit shorter and shaggier, preferably with bangs, is my ideal), it's still so much hotter than a guy with short hair to me.

Well a dress code is completely different than everyday "out of work" style. That's what I was going on about.

If the dress code is a knee-length skirt, dress shirt, heels, and neat hair then of course that has to be followed. But out of work they can mismatch and do whatever they want.

well, i went on to say that that sort of value towards a professional, neat apearance tends to spread into other areas of life.  And then people start associating work ethic and money making abilities with a certain way of dressing, which becomes attractive.

that attracts people that also care about money and prestige.

what if you don't?

than you aren't part of the vast majority of society.  Nothing wrong with that, I am just making generalizations to explain at least 1 reason why most people care about appearances.

But for argument's sake, you could still be attracted to the work ethic part and leave money out of it.

The vast majority? Really? Because I know a whole lot of people who can't stand the mainstream and would much rather live life on their own terms than drudge out a 9 to 5 and start a typical American family. In fact, the vast majority of people I know can't stand that kind of forced societal conformity and would much rather take an alternate path to contentment.

In my opinion, one can look just as beautiful dressed in an alternative style (like punk rock, for instance) than an accepted one like a pencil skirt and blouse. In fact, I think those with different styles have the ability to be far more desirable because they are unashamedly dressing for themselves, not for others. I'm sorry, but I just don't find conformity for the sake of it attractive; I find it banal. I'd much rather be with (and even just around!) somebody who has a strong sense of who they are, what they like to wear, and what they're doing -- because they want to do it, not because society does, their parents do, or because they perceive it to be 'more attractive.'

agreed. well-stated okk...thank you for saying this.

I had very long hair for most of my adult life. My hair is fine textured, but very thick so I didn't have any trouble pulling it off when I was younger. Once I hit my late thirties and early forties, though, I noticed that the long line of my hair combined with the standard aging lines started pulling my features down. It started to age me. I cut it off fairly short and find that I like it very well. If interested, you can check my gallery photos for the transition.

In general, I don't think there's a specific age when women in general need to cut their hair. I've seen many older women who were absolutely gorgeous with their long hair and many younger women who were cute as bugs with their tiny short cuts. It really depends on the person and their lifestyle and features.

On men, it depends on the guy, but I generally like longer hair if it suits the person's face shape and is kept neat and tidy. Unkempt hair isn't attractive on anyone. I can say that I absolutely hate the return of the buzz cut that we've been seeing lately -- it may have a bit more styling being done, but it's still a buzz cut as far as I'm concerned. It looks good on no one.

i think a buzz cut on a guy is hot!

Your after hair looks really nice.  I love the bangs on you!
