Do you like long hair (on women)? At what point does it go from looking good to looking creepy? At what age does it become weird to have really long hair?

"At what point does it go from looking good to looking creepy?" &nb sp; At the same point tatoos stop looking trendy & start looking slutty, over age 25.
"At what age does it become weird to have really long hair?" &nb sp; When a person realizes they look weird. Before that, it's just tacky.
hmmm....i didn't know 25 was old. Im only 1 year away from turning into a slut, I better stop getting tattoos and grow my hair out while its still trendy!!!

Yes! That's why I thought I was safe at 25 years old. At the very least until I hit 60 years old. I've been telling my mother:
" Pish posh. You have nothing to worry about in this modern world. Listen: 60 is like the new 50! annnnnd the NEW 50... Is HAWT"

See, the thing that I have a problem with is WHY DO PEOPLE CARE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE LOOK LIKE!? Argh!! It frustrates me to no end! WHY do people care? I don't care! I never cared! If people wanna walk out of their house straight after rolling out of bed, GO for it! It's always the same TYPE of people that care about what others look like and they drives me nuts!
I remember going to school in PJ bottoms every day and this one girl (who had no room to talk) did nothing but pick on me. Of course she didn't realize I wasn't allowed to wear tight pants or anything because I had surgery/PCOS/Endo issues. And one day I wore jeans (even though I wasn't supposed to!) just to shut her up, she said nice and loudly "OMG she's wearing pants!" Like why did it bother her SO MUCH that I was in jammies/sweats? Like seriously... argh.
Why do people care if someone has long hair at 70 or short hair at 20? Why do people care if someone has 50 tattoos at... 60? I don't think either is trashy, I think you should be/do what you want and **** everyone else. This has been a huge pet peeve of mine for many years.
And that obnoxious show "What not to wear" is the same thing!! WHY DO RANDOM PEOPLE CARRRE!? Argh... brain does not compute.
Since when is long hair "trashy hippie hair"? My hair doesn't even reach my breasts but I was offended! I've never had long hair that went beyond my chest, but it is in no way trashy if someone else does it. What does it matter if someone's hair is long or short?
Sure, when it comes to attraction or something, maybe. For example, my husband likes extremely short hair (pixie cut). But he doesn't think other styles are icky (I'd be in trouble :P).
WTF is a fashion offender? Just because YOU don't dress that way or have your hair that way, doesn't mean the person who does is offensive. Argh.
*takes a deep breath*
cpt! why do you care that they care! I don't care that they care. Like I said, I'm keeping my trashy slutty tacky weird and creepy long hair forever!
I don't watch those fashion shows because they are too stupid.
Plus they promote pantene which I KNOW is bad for your hair. :D
deep breaths! do I need to open a couch for you?! :)
They have to care, because its all they got. We got more. Right? ![]()

although i have short hair now, and only 3 tattoos - i plan on having long hair when i'm "old" (i personally think it looks so elegant on women with gray hair) and this even makes me want to get multiple more tattoos! ha!

^ This is what I like about the show. It is true that it's kind of annoying/stupid how they criticize/critique people, but fashion is a tough subject. :( I like the teaching that's involved to help people regardless of height/shape/weight/frame/etc. That's why it was a poor time to mention my like for the show. . .Just trying to clear up the reasoning on my part at least! Some people just like the show because they enjoying making fun/trash talking people. That's the part that they actually enjoy sadly. :( Not me.

i understand what you mean and where you're coming from - but still. why can't one just where what makes them personally feel happy and confident, regardless of two arbitrary opinions from random people?

Depending on where you work, it can be about professionalism. People will often assume that someone who is sloppy with clothes, hair, and makeup will also be sloppy with work. That's not too good for business. Then, that ethic gets spread to the rest of their life...so when dating and making friends they look for someone who represents themselves in a more professional or eye pleasing manner because they know that person holds similar values.
Personally though, after working all week and having to dress up, I can't wait to put on some sweat pants and muss up my hair when I get home;)

Exactly. For some people it's not about what others wear/etc. It's just watching/learning how to dress yourself for any occasion. Tips/Tricks to use for different seasons, occasions, and settings.

maybe after a 25 year career. In my field(oil industry) the older generation wear whatever the heck they want and the newbies have to follow the dress code. A lot of people won't give you the chance to show your abilities if you don't look the part. Once you are an expert with an awesome resume, no one will care.
