How long before I see results?
Do to an injury (holidays didn't help either) I've put on about 10lbs. I've gotten the OK to get moving again and was wondering how long before I see some results? I've been sticking to my kcal count (1200-1500) and exercising daily. It's been about two weeks (just about a week on CC) and no loss--no lbs, no inches. What gives? Am I just being impatient?
It can take about up to a month before you see results.
-double posted-
Do it for a full month before ditching your program and picking up a new one.
if you are only eating 1200 calories AND exerising, you are NOT eating enough. you are in starvation mode and will not lose pounds until you up your calorie intake.
I agree with genea, I've been there done that, it will take much longer to see results if your calorie intake is too low and your activity is too high. On top of the fact that you won't see results you will loose vitamins and minerals at a much faster rate. If your are running or doing other high impact exercise mineral loss is a real concern because of the higher potential for stress fractures (I broke both of my legs after doing a starvation type diet from stress injuries) You can up your calories and just change your food habits, Eat most of your aloted carbs in the morning (or early in the day if your not a morning person:) and eat alot of vegetables. Vegetables take more work for your body to break down (meaning more calories burned) and are a form of carbohydrate that give you lots of energy!
Thanks for the replies!
I try to get most my kcals in the am to mid-afternoon, that's also where I tend to get most my whole grain carbs. mostly oatmeal-my fav! If I'm eating 'clean' (non-processed foods) I find that I have a hard time getting above the 1300 mark.
my workouts are usually: AM-20 min of physical therapy excercises (mostly core/hip) or 20 min curcuit training. PM-30 min walk/run or 45 min lighter walk. (I do talk a day off)
according to CC my daily burn level is only about 2200 kcal/day.
should I still up my intake?
