How long does it take to see results when you start going to the gym?

I intend to start going to the gym, and I am wondering how long it will take to see results. I kind of have a pouch that’s flabby and I’m looking for visible results.
The time it takes to get in shape depends on many factors, including the type of cardio and weight-training you do, your training schedule, how much you eat, your genetic propensity to build muscle, and your physical condition at the start of training. But, in general, it should take about six weeks of consistently going to the gym to see some results - although it might take six months or more to see the results you want.
