How long since you weighed your goal weight?

Quote  |  Reply
Losing weight seems like such a sloooowww process.  Especially when you're working so hard all week long to just lose one pound.  But if you think about how long it took you to put on the weight vs. how long it will take for you to lose it (at a rate of 1 pound/week), it's not such a slow process, after all.

I'd like everyone to post:

1.  How long it has been since you weighed your goal weight, and

2.  How long from now it will take you to weigh that much again, considering you lose one pound/week.

Here's mine:

1.  11 years
2.  11 months

Not bad.. only taking 11 months to undo 11 years of unhealthy eating!

don't know how long since my goal weight since never gave it any thought way back then, close to 30 years I'd say.

It took one full year to get to where i am now at 140 down from 185. Now to maintain that is the goal for the rest of my life!!

If we all could just approach it as a lifestyle, long range, nothing needs to get done in a hurry approach we will all be better for it.

I haven't weighed 130 since 1988, so 18 years.  I haven't put a time goal on losing the weight because it's been very difficult for me to lose even a little.  I do better if I don't set a goal.  I know I'll get there and I don't care how long it takes.
I don't know the last time I weighed my goal, probably not since middle school... and then I was overweight for my age/height. I think my best adult weight was 145, and that was 15 years ago...

At one pound a week, it'll take until June 2008 to reach my goal.

Its been about 29 years since I weighed my goal weight of 175. CCs goal weight for me is 30 lbs less than my own and its been more than 30 years since that. I would like to reach my goal by June but I think another 45 lbs in 4 months might be a lot to expect. So I am looking to June and doing the best I can.
Funny.... I was just thinking about this....

By the way..... does anyone remember being at their goal weight way back when and not realizing or appreciating it?  That is one thing I really regret!  I wish I would have realized back then that I looked good.... I really think if I had appreciated my body back then I may not have ever lost it.

For me, it has been about 8 years since I was at my goal weight.  I used to weigh 120 lbs and wear a size 4, and now I'm 200+.  It will take me at least 2 years to get back, maybe longer.....  I try not to think about how long that is.  Everytime it overwhelms me, I pull out this gorgeous picture of me from back then and then I remember that nothing is impossible....
I can say its been 5 years since goal weight of 140 from originally 170  but being healthy 9 years.  I have 7 pounds left goal by March 1st.  :)
In 1992 I weighed 150 lbs.
I am thinking about 12 months if I try hard.
i was probably 12 or so when i weighed my goal weight (120pounds, im 5 feet and 3/4inch)...all through HS i was atleast 30 pounds over my goal weight...now im 60+ pounds,  im 23 now..so thats what 11 years?  C-C says itll be july 08 when i reach my goal, but thats more of a "soft goal" for me...ill get there when i get there...
it was in 1994 the last time I weighed my goal weight of 220 it will take on year to get there with some hard work.
I was at my goal weight 2 years ago - I had then quit smoking 18 months ago and didn't eat right and gained.  I only have 20 - 25 lbs I want to lose I would like to be at this weight by my 2 year anniversary of quitting smoking which is mid July.
1.   20 years (+/-)
I was a chubby tween back then

2.   25 months (+/-)
1st year of University I weighed 145, and didnt appreciate it at all.  In fact,  thought I was kinda fat.   Peaked 2 years ago at 192.  Am at 168 now,  and WHEN I get back to 145,  Ill definatly appreciate it this time!    23 pounds to go, 23 weeks,  sooo Just under half a year, Mid July hopefully!   (Perfect timing  :)  )

I don't ever remember weighting my goal weight (132). I lowest weight I even remember was 171 when i was 16!! So....this will be a first for me!
in 1995 I was at 170 lbs.  Careless living since then, plus some surgery that laid me up for a year.  But I am well on the road to getting there again.  At one pound a week, it would take me until next year at this time.  However I am shooting for the summer sometime.
Almost 3 years ago now.

2 years ago, I was only 2lbs away. Now I'm 9lbs away. Don't know when I 'll get there, but staying here is better than going back.
1. 3 years

2. 6 months

Wow, this was interesting.  Neat perspective! :)
