Longer sleep hours.... sign that I need to eat more????

My current weight is 165.8 Height : 5"2. I eat 1200 calories a day. Workout for about 400 calories. I've lost 15 pounds in 2 months. I used to get 8 hours of sleep. Now I need at least 9 hours before I can get out of bed.

Does this mean I'm not eating enough and my body is too tired???

I keep my calories at 1200 because I am hypothyroid which means I have a slow metabolism.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think anyone can determine your question over the internet.

But you can try increasing your calories to see if it helps. Try increasing your calories just by 1-200 for a week or two. Then determine if your energy levels have improved or not.

If not, ask your doctor. You may have sleeping problems. Good luck!
Calories are energy.  Cut the calories and you have less energy.  Do exercise on top and you have even less to play with.  Have you tried having a 'day off' where you eat a lot more?  If that makes you less tired you could have your answer.  It also acts as a metabolism boost for someone that's been dieting for a long time.

However, if you find you feel fatigued during the day as well as sleeping more at night and if you already have a medical condition you should certainly go to see your doctor.  It's quite common for iron-stores to run low when cutting calories and that can cause fatigue, for example.

I think I have my answer. I upped my calories yesterday and I was able to get up an hour earlier and feel rested after the night.

 

I felt good today!!!!!

So I think more food is doing it for meCool
