What is the longest you have had a plateau?

Okay... so as of today I have not lost any weight in 2 weeks. 212... that is the number of the day everyday. So, I have seen a lot of people post the "Why haven't I lost weight?" My caloric goal is 1750. Even when I changed my activity level from sedentary to light activity it stayed the same...strange..but true. I burn any where between 300-500 cals a day with my exercise routine, and just daily life. I have managed to get back to eating at goal. I have to work on not eating when I get home from my second job at 1am. I am actually hungry though. I think I may need to up my calories, since I am awake from 7am-1am daily. Yes, I know I need more sleep...but I am trying. I try to sleep more on my days off. So, I think I have done all I can do... I will just have to wait it out...so I got to thinking... what is the longest people have plateaued? I am trying to be positive... at least the scale is not going up. I am committed to my program for the long haul. Just curious about the experience of others.

You should try doing some intense exercise to shock your body into letting go of some of the weight.  Try 15 minutes of running stairs or spinning...I just started that and the #s are coming off faster now!
I have been at the same weight or within 1-2 pounds for the last 8 weeks! So don't feel too bad! I'm about 5 pounds away from my goal so that's part of why it is so hard but still, 2 weeks isn't bad, keep your chin up! Oh, and perhaps when you get home from job number 2 (I feel your pain there, I also work about 10-12 hours a day), you should try a slim fast optima shake? I have been posting all over CC about them! ha ha ha I'm obsessed! Anyway, they are only 190 calories so it wouldn't be HORRIBLE if you upped your intake just by that much & they really fill me up.

My plateau lasted about 9 months.  I broke it by eating more.  (Turned out I was eating too little once I started exercising.)

But don't worry about 2 weeks.  Are you only weighing weekly?  Maybe you could try weighing daily (don't "count" the weigh-ins; just look at them) to get a better understanding of how your weight is really fluctuating throughout the week.  Mine goes up and down about 4 lbs every day (if I weigh throughout the day).

hey dude if your looking for a low cal drink that will fill you up drink the myo plex lite. i can be full on those for about 5 hours and they are like 140 cals or something like no fat at all and around 25 grams of protien and also they contain vital vitmains and minerals that will boost your weight loss,
I am in the middle of a plateau its been about 7 months! PLUS i gained about 10 pounds since november (i had my gallbladder taken out) they told me i am retaining major water weight but now i have kidney stones and i feel like this plateau cant be broken because i stopped working out and with trying to pass kidney stones working out isnt very comfortable!

Okay sorry i went on a rant! BUT i guess what im trying to say is that dont worry about a 2 week plateau, it happens. We will break through it!

it helps to read about others plateuas to help keep our heads up! :-)

I've had 2 plateaus of 3-4 weeks each.

I started focusing on weight at 183 in September. I lost 8 lbs really quickly, then plateaed for about a month at 175 in October/November. Lost gradually some more, and then stayed at 165ish for most of January.  Now I'm down to 160ish.  I've maintained an average deficit of 500 calories for the whole time.

So, it seems like my body loses weight in increments, and then wants to stay at the new weight for a few weeks before losing again.  It's just the way it is, and the lesson for me is to be patient.

during my weightloss i had none, i was shocked and still am.
