You're too short to be a model.. so how about you just focus on becoming healthy instead?

To look like a model you need to have the resources a model has:

  • A personal trainer
  • A professional nutritionist and/or cook to advise you on what and when to eat
  • A life couch to follow you around and make sure you follow "the rules" of your diet and exercise plan
  • Nothing to do most days other than work out, since technically your job is to be in shape
  • A plastic surgeon to correct any flaws with your bone structure
  • A good airbrusher to airbrush the remaining flaws and imperfections off your photos

Good luck, hope it works out for you!

Anyone can look like a Victoria Secret model if they really wanted to.

It's all about hard work and dedication. You can start by doing a lot of ab exercises and Cardio training. Do sit ups everyday, and try to go jogging every other day.

Cut out all the junk food and start eating more fruits and vegetables. Limit your fat intake, unless it's good fat (omega 3's and 6's). And drink a lot of water!

actually jackattack, i am a comercial model, not runway and i work with ford but they have asked my to loose more weight bc. im starting to look to big,   but besides that I am a vegan so i eat really healthy and if i have to work everyday for a month with a trainer i will (then im unable to work with a trainer but i will do everything they taught me every day)

That is simply not true.  I'm 5'3" and have weighed as low as 87 and as high as 110.  I've been toned nearly the entire time, however I have never and will never look like a VS model (or any model) for 2 reasons:

1) I'm too short

2) My body, while toned, isn't built like a model.  I have no boobs or hips - I go straight down like a little boy.  Almost all models have some curves.

If you work with Ford why aren't they providing you with the help you need?  I have two friends that are models and one was in your situation and they provided her with nutritional and physical fitness coaching to get her back in shape.

Sorry lilminime.. I didn't realize that there were people out there in your situation.

But you're wrong about the curves part; Victoria Secret models need them, the ones you see walking the runway for New York Fashion week do not.

OMG!

No way.. I'm with Ford!!!!!!

Are you with Ford LA ?

they do but I currently dont live in new york, i travel there when I directly book jobs or have interviews so they cant provide it for me altho they are covering the cost of the trainer which is why i can do it as often as i want for the month befor i go away :)

Well, you'll be fine thenSmile

Just remember to eat lean meats, veggies, & fruits and steer clear of anything high in sugar or overly prcessed.

Good luck!

no work with ford in ny, im not signed with them but u kno how like they send some people out that arent signed with them and see if they book jobs, thats what i am so far ive booked a few jobs, and tons of acting jobs but im with a real acting agency for that.  I have a ton of friends at ford la tho, idk if ud know them theyre younger do you go to school there

Well, I go to school in Northern California so I'm with Ford SF.

I'm going down to LA this summer for modeling.

I'd LOVE to go to NY, but I recently came to the conclusion that I'd rather pursue acting rather than modeling. It seems like a more.. stable career. Well, not really. But at least I can act when I'm over 25!

If you need any tips/ advice on modeling, just send me a message! I've been doing it for a while now, so I'm past the "fun" stage and reaching the "hard work" part. Tongue out

Shopping girl, I looked at your BMI based on your height and weight and you are classified as underweight. You need to eat right, especially if you are going to have a personal trainer. Don't lose anymore weight. In fact you should probably gain a little. I saw another post of yours that said you had an eating disorder... Go see a doctor, and worry about being healthy. It's a great aspiration to be a model, but if it is going to make you do unhealthy things, it's not worth it! Good luck on your goals, and I hope you make it big (even without having to lose more weight)

You're a size zero and you're 'too fat'? Nobody on this site is going to be able to help you to get even thinner, because you're already as thin (or thinner) than you should be for your height. If you really want to get more toned, do LOTS of exercise but don't forget to eat it all back.

She is taller than Kate Moss whom did have a very successful career. ;)

Don't forget Eva the Diva :-)

Eva is 5'7.5"

EDIT: nevermind, I googled and more than one height is listed so I don't know which is right!

You are the same height and weight as me so I know exactly what you are going through... i wouldn't wear a bikini two months ago either.  Some people don't understand that if you have a small frame that extra couple of pounds does stand out.  For example... i was dealing with some major cellulite and love handles for a while even though I was only 125 lbs.  I would suggest doing interval running for cardio to burn the extra calories.  A great way to shape up your stomach is to do incline crunches and reverse crunches since they target the lower and harder to reach abs.  Utalize what the gym has to offer... you don't need a personal trainer, you just need the motivation to work out.  That's how I got back down to 120 and cellulite free again!  Although if your agency will pay for a trainer, I would say go for it since they can give you moves that will target all muscle groups and you will probably see results faster.  Good luck!

It's genetics plain and simple. Either you have the bone structure, metabolism, etc. or you don't.  You can work out all day, every day, but it still doesn't mean you will look like a VS model.
