Looking for all friends - especially those with 150+ pounds to lose

Quote  |  Reply

Hi.

I'm new to the CC and I'm looking for friends that want to help support each other through this weight loss mission!  I'm 32 and am on a long mission!  Hoping to find others that also have a lot to lose and plan to be continuing to lose even in a year from now too!

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have friends and support buddies who have less than 40 lbs to lose too.

Will you be my friend??? (Woah major junior high flashback there)

I just added you to my friend list and would love for you to add me as well.  I am 53 (at the end of the month) so I am much older but we do have weight in common.  I need to lose 100.  I would LOVE to lose 125 but I don't know if I could maintain that.  Anyway, I am sure I will be here a year from now.

Friends?

I am 35, have 140 left to lose but I have already lost 71, so I started with over 200 lbs to lose. I am one-third of the way there! I will add you as a friend!

I'm 38 and have 150 pounds to lose. I just started using CC on the 18th so this is day 3 for me. So far, it's going pretty good. Although, I think I might have picked the wrong time of month to start it, if you know what I mean! LOL

I do great without craving chocolate or anything like that until the week leading up to my period...and of course, that's this week. Undecided IF I can keep the chocolate cravings under control the first week of doing this, then I should be fine the rest of the time...at least I hope so. LOL

I just started this today, I am hoping to lose atleast 115 pounds. I know I need to lose more but that is my goal for now....I am 30yrs old and have a very hard time sticking to weight loss programs, so I am in need of friends too......well good luck to all and I hope to speak to as many people as possible...

Hi all!

I 44 (as of 1/18 - tried to hold onto 43 as hard as I could! lol) 5'4" and currently @257 #'s.   I started on 1/2/08 and have lost 5 #'s so far!  My short goal is to be below 200 by 10/15/08 (which is my 25th wedding anniversary)  At this rate I should acheive this but I know it's going to take determination and a lot group support so I would love have you guys as my friends as well!

There's strength in numbers and I believe we can achieve!

Hi everyone!  I am going to need a lot of friends as well because I feel badly in need of support while doing this.  I have added everyone on this thread through tld118 onto my friends list.  Hope y'all do the same!

I had 135 to lose, 78 left to go. I can use all the motivation and help I can get, But I also like to give the same back. Ive lost 6# since joining CC. Losing much slower than I'm use to, but maybe I can keep it off this time.

Hi, I still have 128 lb to lose to reach goal. I have already lost 130 lb and am close to reaching my 1 year anniversary of dieting. I started this plan in Feb of last year and joined calorie-count.com in Mar of last year because it was a lot easier to keep an online food log than a text file on a jump drive.

I've lost 167 pounds and have hit my goal weight. I am PROOF it can be done with calorie counting and light exercise. Don't even fret this journey. You will make the best of friends, and all your wildest dreams will come true. Ah man you've no idea.

I can't wait to stick with you through this journey and watch you succeed. :) It's a beautiful thing. If you EVER need advice, I'm here for you. I've been through it all.

{{hugs}} welcome aboard.

Hi,

I too am new to CC and have 118lbs to loose. I am 36 with 2 small wonderful girls that I love to run around with. I do work out at the gym 4 x a week and have no problem running around and doing things with my kids, I just want and need to be at a healthier weight. My mom has CF and type 2 diabetes and I want to prevent that from happening to me. I have done many other weight loss programs and do okay for about a month and then I STOP  writing down what I eat and being accountable. My husband loves food and can eat tons and well, so can I, hence why I need to loose 118lbs!! The differnce is, he runs 5x a week and does other fitness training as he is Active Duty Military. I have been overweight all my life - I remember being picked on in the 4th grade when the nurse weighed us in front of everyone and I was made an example of being at an "unhealthy weight" then at 147lbs. I was horrified at such a young age and then I think I just kept eating as I was fat anyways, might as well eat more!

So, we have a long journey to make that will actually never end but will get easier to maintain once we are where we want to be! It's nice to have others who understand what it is like to go through this proccess - it isn't going to be done overnight. I'm hear for the long haul!!

Wow!  What a great response!  Thank you to everyone for being so supportive!  I have added you all to my buddy list and if you havent yet, I hope you do the same for me.  I hope I can be a  support whenever needed too...just an email away!  Thanks again and I look forward even more so to this journey knowing that I have others working for the same goal who can encourage me as well!

Hi all

Weighed in today and didn't loose any!!!  Bummed me out but have put it behind me (which is where a lot of it is - haha) and looking towards next weeks.   Got to quit talking about getting my Gazelle out and using it.   Will start this weekend!

tld118k,  I have decided to not weigh in for a few more weeks.  It is hard for me to stay motivated if the scale shows no losses.  Good for you that you have "put if behind" you!  You have a great sense of humor!  That is where a lot of mine is too!

x17star17x , do I recognize your avatar picture from the BigBig website?  If so, I had no idea you had lost so much weight!  Congratulations!  I am so gratefull that Dbackerfan directed me here.  I am finding it so helpful to me in losing this excess weight.

I have added everyone else to my friends list.

Thanks to all for doing the same for me.

A PS to x17str17x,

I went to your website that is on your journal page and wanted to say 'thank you'.  I am sure I will find it helpful to read about your journey.  Your honesty is impressive.

Karen

Hey - congratulations on being here!  I joined in December and love this website.  I am 35 years old and have 78 lbs to go out of my 120 lb goal.  (still puts me in obese category, but I haven't weighed 185 since elementary school - LOL!) Anyway, I hope you can be my buddy too - good luck on your journey!    TINA

Hello fellow Midwesterner, lol

I grew up in SD and now live in MN. I'm 27 and have 65+ lbs. to lose. I'd love to work with you!
