I am 29 years old and a mom of 3. I have 2 daughters who are both 5...not twins...they are 10 months apart and I have an 11 week old baby boy. I am not having anymore babies so I am ready to lose this weight. I do have support at home but it is from skinny people that have no idea what I am going through lol. I have about 80 pounds to lose. So I am looking for people to hold me accountable, that I can talk to when things are bad and good.
Look forward to getting to know some new people and go on this journey together.
I would be honored to call you friend and help in any way that I can. I am trying to lose 114 lbs and am on day 2 at this site. I know Im a guy and you may be looking for a female buddy if thats the case I understand completely. My wife and I have no children at home she just loves to cook and I love to eat. I've always been big but have finally gotten big enough that I'm worried about my health. My email is swaney3@gmail.com and my number is 8042968995 feel free to email txt or call anytime you want too. I want to meet people here who will understand the lower back pain and screaming shins brought on by the exercise, I want someone who understands how it is when I open the cabinets and look in or prowl the house looking for food when my belly is full of celery and I know Im not ever really hungry... anyway good luck to you and anything I can do I'll be happy to do.

Hi JS
Just read you reply to Looking for a Buddy - god did that sound like me!! I had to give uphalf way through a workout 2 nites ago because my back was killing me. I've just had lunch and I know my stomach feels full but already I'm thinking, oh what can I eat next - :) I find it hard to open a cuboard or fridge without snacking on something out of it - think I'm just obsessed by food. So want to lose the weight this time, so if you want an extra buddy - count me in!!

Hi Stacey
I would be more than happy to be your buddy - just new to CC myself last week - have about 115 lbs to lose - not much when you say it fast. Live in Scotland in the UK and although this site seems to be mainly geared up for the States, I am loving it so far. Not sure I have really found my way around properly yet though - don't know how to add a friend or buddy.
Linda
I could use a buddy to! I know what you mean needing someone to hold you accountable... I am 24, student at a private college, I have been married for 5 months and have a 7yr old step daughter.. Husband is considerably thin and could eat anything and rarely gains weight... I am not that great of a cook but I am looking for better receipes to make healthier food. I am looking to lose atleast 66 pounds, but would be exstatic if i could lose 75-80(although the site says i should lose around 106)...
This is my 3rd day using this site and I track my calories in the evening but I also track them during the day on paper at work or school.... If you feel like it email me, imsilly22@ aol . com

hi,
i am new to this site and i am also looking for a support buddy.i am 24 i have 2 kids 2 1/2 and 1. i have tons of skinny friends to who both love and support me, but i feel they truly don't understand either. my husband is awesome, but he eats anything and everything and gains nothing!!!! i am looking to lose 116lbs and tend to be an emotional eater so i am also learning how to not always turn to food for that comfort, be it in celebration, out of boredom, when i want to relax or am sad. there is more info on my profile. let me know.

Welcome to our little gang, Journey4word,
You are sure in the right place. I try to give a little support here on the site to anyone who posts. It helps me while I help myself. I have lost 28 pounds in the last 3 months and am slowly losing more (I'm plateauing a bit right now, but I'll break thru.)
You know I tend to want to comfort, entertain, celebrate and reward myself with food. It is how I was raised and even when I am stressed out I tend to seek to soothe myself with food...especially chocolate or salty foods.
Oh, you mentioned boredom, that too. I do that too. However, I am learning not to do that. I am learning to reward myself in other ways. And habits of a lifetime are SO HARD to break, but it can be done. I have the rest of my life to work on it, so I will.
You can walk along with the rest of us who are traveling down this road to a better life. I look forward to talking to you.
Hello Stacey, Sorry I am late saying hello. Please feel welcome in our little group.
If there is any way I can help, give a holler.
I am new at this site. I am currently 225lbs. I've lost 35 lbs. and my new goal is to get down to 190. I am setting small goals until I reach my goal of 140 lbs. I am excited about the prospect of continuing the weight loss. I am looking for a buddy. If someone could email me or write to me and let me know if they are willing to help me and we could be buddies. I usually go at the weight loss alone and end up quitting half way through. The 35 lbs. is the most I've ever lost. I am exercising hard and eating right. Does anyone know a better way to speed up the process of the next 35 lbs? I want to do it healthy and stay on track to keep it off. Please let me know. By the way my name is Jenn and I'm from a small town Milan, OH

Musicalsleep,
Nice to have you. I can't do individual buddies, but I am happy to talk to you with the group, so chime in whenever you feel like it.
I am here a couple of times a day (when my computer's not broken that is).
It is very nice to meet you.
Hey Stacey -
I am old enough to be your mom (46) but also have three kids - son just turned 7, daughters who are 4 and 5. My daughters are only 8 1/2 months apart (of course, one is adopted!) so I know how that can be - like twins but worse! I have a lot more weight to lose than you do (I ultimately need to lose almost 150 pounds!) but would love to have a buddy in this journey!
If you know how to "buddy" or "friend" someone on here, let me know - I'd be glad to do it!
Talk later.

Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
