i found another great exercising idea: take your crazy dog outside without a leash and chase her thru the neighborhood as she runs away from you. geeez. not fun before work and in heels, ha!

so as i said before, i lost my weight up til now without really changing my diet. if anything, i started eating even more as i began exercising than i did before i started the weight loss journey. but over the last few days since i've found calorie count, i realize that i'm not anywhere close to eating the calories that i should. over the past few months, i've gotten used to eating 5 or 6 smaller meals. after logging in some of the "snack time" meals, i realize that those are the ones that are taking me over my limit.

so friends, my question is what kinds of foods are y'all eating that fill you up while keeping you under your calorie limit???

I have to say the Wii Active has absolutely been my savior! I LOVE IT!  If you read the reviews, its a lot better than the Wii Fit- AND cheaper! Most of the harder exercises are done with resistance bands, and there are a lot of fun sports activities ( i love the boxing). It really mativates me to work out even when I dont want to because the exercises are different every day so you dont get bored..... The only thing i dread is the running/ jogging part... i just look at the virtual benches wishing i could stop and take a break! lol :)

Hey there - I just got wii fit & active recently too - I love it as well - hopefully I will get online soon - mostly for mario kart racing hehehe! The boxing with the balance board and the inline skating (again with balance board) are my favorites so far! I went out and bought other resistance as the bands provided were good only for the first 3 weeks - I went up in resistance but it was no biggie to change it :)

I though I was the only one that thought the same thing about the benches in the running parts, too LOL

Keep it up - add me as a friend here if you like.

Arrgghh LADIES!! I so fell off the wagon! First I went to my Dad's shingding, where the food was oh so delish that I just did not care...then I got so royally sick that I was in bed (literally not getting up for anything) for 5 days...so no workout but a husband making me food to get better and cookies to sooth my soul....

So after 1 week of letting myself go, I am back...I gained every little ounce that I had lost (I know a lot is water weight etc) so I am back with 160 (ish) lbs on the scale...that means I have about 25lbs to go!

It is my second day back at work and I am not excited the manager said something really stupid about me being gone....ARGH!

I found out that most likely (maybe hopefully not) I will have another surgery (I have had 2 in the last year) and that means another week that I will spend in imobility!

Uggghhh...I am ranting!!!! Sorry for that!

V and trueblue...good job! I am sending you a virtual HIGH FIVE!!!

Welcome to all the new ladies....

mdstall: it's ALL good! just get back on the wagon! I'll help! ((does a cheer)) you can DOOO it! ;)

((high five!))

How is everyone??? Busy it seems these days!?!?!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the group, well I joined before but never posted anything. :0).  Anywho...I just turned 29, I'm 5'5" and gained a whopping 15lbs since my last log on in February, so now I weigh 176...yikesCry.  I have 2 handsome boys (7 and 3) and I stay on the go with my oldest playing football.  Last Thursday I started back on my Wii Fit and i have lost 1lb...yay...My goal weight is 135 so I have 40 more lbs to go.  Also since I started back on the Wii I have been eating Special K red berries (love it) for breakfast, snack, and lunch and then eat regular dinner with some type of protein.  On the weekend I just ate it for breakfast and I seem to always skip lunch and then ate regular dinner.  Hopefully I can keep this up until I reach my goal.

I have realized that I am not in my early 20's anymore and I can't eat the same things I used to and not work out anymore...it just doesn't work...LOL

Hopefully blogging with you all will help me stay on track.

Hello everyone,

i am new to the group and to Calorie Counter. After losing my mom to cancer June 2008 i ballooned up to 170lbs. i am 5'4'' and 23 years old. When she was sick my weight started climbing and it never stopped. My goal weight is the same as you cherin_23; 135. My body is at the point where my fat pants are now my skinny pants and are a tight fit. My relationship with my boyfriend is suffering because of my physical insecurity. I need help and fast :(

It isnt that i over eat, it is what i eat. I'm a sucker for Tim hortons whole wheat n' honey bagels; the more butter the better with some strawberry jam. Then i will have an orange pekoe tea DD with cream and sugar... so fatty but yet so delicious. i try not to do that and have some life cereal or something like that but it is not as filling. i work in an office so it is so easy to just sit and snack... NOT A GOOD IDEA!

i work out almost everyday, usually 2 days off a week. i was slacking for about a month in which i gained that 5lbs to move me up to a solid uncomfortable 170lbs. Cardio is key for fat burning, i try to mix it up between running, elipticals and stationary biking.

I want fast results but they just dont come, it is so aggrevating and i lose hope and give up. I need your help not to let me give up!

thank you for reading my story, lets all work together for success! <3
