Looking forward to the Twilight Movie?
My sister is obsessed...but, to tell the truth, I fell asleep at the first one (too artsy I guess). Do you guys think this one will be any good?
I hope you're not calling the Twilight Movie artsy.
you fell asleep because it's a terrible movie.
I'm only stating a fact...I fell asleep...that movie had all of this lalalala music going on, so...
Not looking forward to it at all~ Didn't see the first. Didn't read the books... looks horrible.

I hope so too, haha.
I read the books so I'm gonna see it, but I was not impressed with the first one.
I love all the books. Loved the movie and cannot wait until New Moon! All you movie snobs can suck a duck
:)
No.
I loved the first three books.
But then the fourth killed it all for me. I mean, I always knew Bella is a Mary Sue, but it had never been quite so in-your-face before that one.
And what annoys me is how lots of my friends, who hadn't read a novel for fun since sixth grade, are suddenly jumping on the bandwagon and treat me like I'm weird for being a bookworm and not being head over heels in love with Twilight. *grumblegrumble* Okay, that's the end of my rant. xD
Don't get me wrong, I don't totally hate them - I'm just frustrated with the fanaticism.

LMAO! High five.
Hahahaha... artsy, yeah right. I simply fell asleep because of the cheesy acting and the horribly juvenile plot. Hmm... and I think that the term "good" is very subjective. IF you like tween romance movies then yes, it will live up to your expectations and be "good"... however, if you like Muse and are horridly ashamed that they have affiliated themselves with the Twilight franchise then you will probably not find the film "good"
PS, I know that many Twilight fans find what's his face attractive but let's not follow the relationship advice that this movie franchise provides... seriously kids, if a guy says that he has some uncontrollable urge to drink your blood... RUN in the opposite direction. Do not do as Ms Stewart did and RUN into the arms of the crazy shiny man-child.
The movie wasn't artsy and you fell asleep because the movie wasn't well done.
I have read the books, and I have enjoyed them quite a bit. While Meyer isn't a great writer, she is a great storyteller (although I agree with whoever said that Bella is a Mary Sue).
That being said, I will still see New Moon. I'm hoping that a higher budget will make a better movie...and maybe the actors have improved as well.

I also agree with other posters in that I also think the movie wasn't well done.
I read all the books before the movie/hype came out and while they weren't Shakespeare, they were great reads. I never really wanted to see the first movie, but my teen sisters did so my hubs and I took them. They loved it, but my husband & I were bored to tears and started whispering to each other "Oh, Edward! I loooove yooou!" Yes, we were being goofs, lol. We might have appreciated it more if we were in our teens instead of our 30's? I dunno *shrugs*
Like kbella said, the only reason why I'd be interested in seeing New Moon is to see if it is an improvement over the first.
Imo, books are usually so much better than movies because of the imagination you use when you read them.

ditto
To tell the truth, I am more looking forward to that silly seasonal movie-Carol-the Scrooge-like one?
You mean the new version of A Christmas Carol?
There are already so many great versions of that story that I'm really not sure why they're re-doing it again. Especially since it doesn't look like they're bringing anything new to the table. I'll probably just skip it and watch "Scrooged" again ;)
well i'm looking forward to the new Twilight movie! i liked the books, though i thought the fourth and the way the story wrapped up felt a bit too forced for me. yes they are corny, sappy, tween lit, but whatever, i enjoyed them!
and the movie was so unhyped for me and people make it sound so bad, that i actually really liked it because i went in with such low expectations.
i'm gonna go see New Moon with my bf's little sister. were are pumped!
no but when i saw the preview while waiting for THIS IS IT (which was amazing) they showed a preview and alot of girls started hoopin and hollerin when they showed that pretty boy dude whatshisname. haha cracked me up big time.

Yeah, I was like "artsy"?
The first one me and my friends saw as a goof--got pretty drunk and laughed through the whole thing. Interestingly enough, I think everyone in our audience had the same idea since the whole theater was giggling. This time, I dunno, money is tighter for me, so for $12.50 a movie we may just wait for the dvd.

I hear ya, movies are way expensive around here. I don't usually go in the theatre if it's a movie I'm only kinda excited about.
Edited to add that I am in no way even "kinda excited" about the Twilight movies... Sorry everyone who likes em, I just don't get the magic...
Man I used to be a twilight hater, but my co worker made me read the first book and I was hooked... though the 4th one was freaking WEIRD I still liked them. I saw the first movie before I read the books and I went in with LOOOOOW expectations, so it was almost good. I am excited for New Moon :]
How come I’m not losing weight?
