What have you had that you were looking forward to, but wasn't worth it?
What have you had you were disappointed in?
Reason: Released as sticky
A diet coke....I switched over to cherry coke zero and diet coke with spenda and was looking forward to a regular diet coke and it just didnt taste right to me.
Also drinking rum...I went off drinking any alcohol so I could get a good acurate blood work up and now spiced rum or any drink doesnt interest me...guess I am getting old.
A bagel! I had a ton of extra calories one night after a run and decided to have one with my scrambled eggs for dinner. I managed to get through half, and was disgusted with it. Totally has no appeal now, and I used to be able to plow through a couple of them, no problem w/ cream cheese or pb and butter.
Sadly, chocolate. It just never tastes good to me anymore. I wish I had the same problem with my haagen daaz pint of dulce de leche...
Sigh.
Lay's barbeque potato Chips. They used to be my favorite snack ever, and I could never eat just one serving. I haven't had them in at least 10 months now. But about a week ago, my mom asked me to get her some and I had ONE single chip just so I could remember what it tasted like.
Blah. I don't see why I ever liked them so much!

I'm ready for a Ben and Jerry's pint. Cookie dough, chunky monkey, cherry garcia, friggin-A...maybe after my next hike
Now that's something I don't think I'll EVER lose the taste for!!! PHISH FOOD!
I've been tempted to try their yogurt version - does anyone know if it's almost as good?
I still have not tried Phish Food, but I know I love Half Baked. And I tried the frozen yogurt version.... YUM!!! I was so excited it tasted just as good with almost half the calories.
Now I should mention I am naturally a frozen yogurt fan. So maybe if you don't really like frozen yogurt itself, you may not enjoy the B&J's version so much.
I had been craving my all-time favorite comfort food: cheez-its dipped in chocolate peanut butter ice cream... and it was not what I expected at all. It was downright unappetizing.
I was at a Japanese restaurant and usually I just get sashimi and seaweed salad, sometimes a simple small roll, but I decided to indulge in a vegetable tempura dish and it just didnt do it for me, I wished I had just stuck with the sushi/sashimi and didnt enjoy the fried goodness at all.
... let's add goldfish crackers to the list too. They're my FAVORITE (still are) but aren't nearly as sinfully delicious as I once remembered. I was also looking forward to having some nice, crusty sourdough bread on my birthday, and it has also lost it's appeal!!

tell me about it! the last time i tried tempura it was disgusting! it was vegetables and chicken, but it was so greasy i was naseous. i was praying i'd vomit. and it wasn't that the place made it greasy; i just hadn't had fried foods in ages, and tempura was not the best gateway food. yuck! i hate tempura now!
OMG, great topic! Just last Saturday night, my husband and I joined some friends at Chili's for dinner before we all went to a party. I was going to ho-hum my way through a salad, but I decided that hell, I was going to be drinking beer and splurging that night anyway, why not have something sinful? Well, I knew that eating fried foods is not a good thing for my tummy (I just can't handle it anymore), so I opted for these pepperjack cheese nachos. I used to LOVE their nachos. WOW- what a freaking disappointment. I ended up letting my husband eat half of them... they were just not nearly as good as they used to be!
Coke. Whyyy doesn't it taste as good as it used to!? I don't have it often but when I occasionally cave into it, it tricks me into thinking it will be incredible, but never is anymore!! Why do I bother I wonder...but I still keep on going back..

Argh! Same. Only it was barbecue kettle chips (worse?) and I had the whole bag because I was REALLY looking forward to them and saved some calories for the express purpose of eating them, so I was starving and I didn't feel like trying figure out something else to eat at that point.
I went to Rita's tonight with my boyfriend and switched from the usual kiddie sized ice to a shake. Way too many calories for how good it wasn't.
At least now I'll know not to change from my regular!
