Looking to lose 10lbs, 5'5" and 133lbs. HELP

Quote  |  Reply

I always feel so bad about my body because all my friends are super lean and fit and I know that im not insanely larger than them but I still feel pathetic compared to them. It doesnt help that they can eat whatever they want and still not gain a thing. I work out 3-4 times a week and eat around 1600 calories (5'5" & 133lbs). Please give me some suggestions to lose the weight AND feel more positivly.. I know if I lost 10lbs Id be sooo much more happier with the way I look.

I know your pain, and I'm 5'5.5" and I'm a good 2-3 pounds heavier than you are. But, I can tel lyou now, DO NOT get the mindset that 'if I just loose ten pounds EVERYTHING will be right in the world' or 'If I can lose this trouble spot EVERYTHING will be better'. Because, seriously? Sometimes it's really not.

Why do you want to be thinner? 133 is a healthy BMI LOSING 10 pounds still puts you in a healthy BMI, but a very, VERY low one. Do you want to be thin so you can be like your friends? Or so that you can feel healthy? Do you want to be thin to impress that one cute guy who gets your eye as you're walking down the hall? Or do you want to impress YOURSELF as you're glancing at the mirror?

Take time to think these things over. If you're not careful you can develop something serious.

I mean, its strange because when Im with my friends I dont feel that self consious but then when Im sitting infront of the tv, I think would my friends be doing this? Is this why theyre so much more confident with their looks, because they work hard to look the way they do? I want to do it for myself to boost my own sence of self worth if that makes sence, because if I look better I think Ill feel better. Plus this year my jeans started to get quite tight and all I want is for them to fit again. Whoa what a rant, but do you have any suggestions for good workout or eating habits to get into? :)

thanksss!
