I'm 5'3 and i weigh 147.5lbs, i'm looking to loose 27.5lbs to reach my goal of 120lbs by new years.
i'd like to meet people who are positive and would like to help each other stay that way.

Hi, I'm fairly new here too. I would love to help as well. Staying positive about weight loss is one of the most important things and it is very hard to stay that way. I've been at this for almost a year now and find myself slipping from time to time. I would be glad to help any way I can.
I am 27 yrs old and I have 27 lbs to got to reach my first goal weight by the end of Dec. I am very motivated to lose after first coming to Calorie count last year. I am trying to stay within 1200 calories a day and I run 1 mile 5 times a week.
What are you trying to stay within caloire wise?
I am trying to stay around 1200 cals when I have to drop some weight. I do try to work out 4-5 x a week. I want to maintain around 133, but I keep binging and screwing myself up, so I have to drop cals to drop weight. But I have decided this is the last time and with support I will get back down and maintain.
im 5'3 and 137lbs looking to be around 115. you have a good weight goal since we're on the shorter side. good luck and stay strong!

Today is my 4th day of being "back on track" with my wt loss, and I started my period. I feel miserable, but I am determined so I'm staying strong.
Yay! I'm 5'3" and my goal weight is 120 also. I'm at about 130 now after losing 12 pounds so far. I'm always up for some motivation and for giving support. Let me know if there's anything I can do.
I'm 5'3" as well! I'm 25 years old, and I'm currently 134 pounds (down from 142, my highest weight ever) and hoping to reach 125 by mid-October... ultimate goal weight in the 115 range. If I could get back down to my college weight of 115! :)
I tried eating 1200 calories, and though the weight came off, I was always thinking about food. Now I'm trying 1400 and it's much easier to prevent binges this way, for me at least!
Motivation begins NOW! :)

Hi girls!! I'm 5'2.5 - and was my heaviest at 155lbs (eeps!). I got down to 145lbs on January 2007 and right now would love to get down to 130lbs by October 5th. If i can go down to 125lbs by New Years - would be wonderful!!!

Ladies....let me food off your motivation. I am also a little
gal, at 5'3", but I am strong. I weigh around 138 right now but
it is more muscle than fat. I am looking to streamline my body
down to 155 or so. I have a goal of getting to 130 by the end of
September. The problem is that the scale keeps hopping up in to
the 140's. Frustrated!!!!!!
Hi everyone! I have some good news! I went to dinner with a friend last night and everything seemed to go wrong. We didn't actually get to the resaurant until after 9:00, with 2 2yr olds and a 5yr old. Talk about 3 cranky kids, and we were all tired and hungry. We were at a Mexican restaurant so I just got fajitas and ate only the meat and veggies, no sour cream or anything else. Then my friend orders FRIED ICECREAM!!! She's passing it around and I declined, even with her proding!!! Then to go one step further, because that could have led to me comeing home and eating everything sweet around, but I didn't!!! I wanted to, but didn't!!! I came home and had a protein supplement and fruit, and went to bed...hungry! But I didn't let it lead me down the very bad path of a binge, and the scale repaid me this morning...137.4!!!!! Sorry this was so long, but I had to share.
luanne52- Have you changed your workouts lately? Or has anything else changed? If not you may want to change something because your body gets used to one thing and a change can help break a plateau as well. That sounds like what your going through, hang in there and it will break.

this is my fourth week and i've lost 7lbs so far. so far so good.
lets keep it up girls! just imagine bringing in the new year wearing sexy clothes at out goal weights. x

Good job all of us, for keeping at it even when it gets really hard! Yesterday morning I thought perhaps I had broken my 134 plateau with a 133.8 weight, but today back in the 134s. Still working hard! I'm going to do some Tae Bo with my DVD tonight and then have a VitaMuffin as a reward... let's hope some sore muscles help me out with this plateau, right!?

Hi everyone, thought I would post to say I've had a revelation in the dieting scheme of things. I've decided to stop losing and maintain here. Change my focus to eating healthy and staying fit, but not nec. losing weight. I've noticed an obsession with the number on the scale forming, I think it goes hand in hand with the binging. But anyway, I'm happy with my body and I am going to just change tracks. Eat healthy, work out, don't binge, and decrease stress to be a healthier happier me:) I know you guys are a great support system so I'm asking for your help in this new way of living/thinking. thanks to all - Nita
