Hi,
I am 29 years old and had struggle with weight issues all my life. I gain and lose all the time. Between 2005 and early 2007 I hit the worse 195 pounds. By november 2008 I was 130. However, life got comfortable and busy again and I am currently 164.
I am tired of people always talking about my weight issues and I am tired of going through this struggle. IT is affecting my day to day life since I think I had gotten a little depress as a result of gaining the weight again. My goal is to be in my normal weight (125 medium frame 5'feet) by March 2010.
I need a buddy that can keep me motivated and on track by exchanging experiences and motivating each other to achieve the goal!
I appreciate your help and support
Nyl
Nyl,
I am 31 years old and I too have always been at least "chubby". I lost 45 pounds with WW about 9 years ago, then I met my husband, quit smoking, had 2 kids and I almost put my scale in the basement.
It is also my goal to reach 125, but by July of next year. I am now 217, having just had my second baby 3 months ago. I would love to join you and help support each other! I am just starting out again.......

Hello
My name is Lexi and I'm 30 yrs old. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and I'm trying to lose weight. I was chubby before I got pregnant and I just don't like the way i look after having the baby. I want to get down to about 110 lbs Im 5*2 so i have about 10 lbs to go. I would like to lose more if I can. But it's hard for me to pass on the carbs and chocolate. I'm just looking for ppl that are going thru the same thing as I am.

Hi Nyl! How are you finding CC so far?? The support on the forums has helped me a lot and I have made many new friends. I am 5'2" and 32 years old. At my highest I weighed 208 pounds and I felt miserable all of the time. I have gradually gone down from that weight but I had 2 children in those years which upset the weight-loss progress. I never gained a whole lot of weight with either pregnancy but my body shape and physique changed so much I had to re-learn how to love the "new" me LOL. Today I record all my calories and activity during the week which helps me to be accountable and I am now 150 pounds. I would be delighted to exchange thoughts and ideas
!

Thank you very much for your help!!!! I do have to say that reading about others in my situation and reading the forums is keeping my hopes up. I do have to say that I have been faulty in keeping up with my calorie count. Sometimes I am busy and I do not plug the info here and then forget to follow up or if I eat out I do not know how to come up with the calories for that.
Also, being so busy, I do not really put time set aside to work out, is so bad =(
How do you guys handle the pugging the calories all the time? how do you plug the calories when you eat out? How do you keep up with your workout when you are busy and just want to rest when you get the chance?
Hey Nyl :) It isn't hard, it's just different.
What helps me is I try to plan my day out with snacks and lunch at the least. Then during my morning work break I log in my breakfast, lunch and all my snacks for the day in advance. It also helps me to guage how big of a dinner I can eat that night. I have a loooong commute so small easy foods keep me satiated. Weekends are tough for me but the workweek keeps me on schedule. A normal meal plan looks like such... 2 hard-cooked eggs and a glass of oj for breakfast, yogurt and blueberries for a mid-morning snack, a salad with grilled chicken for lunch, almonds and a banana for mid-afternoon snack and then all I have to do is figure out dinner. The eggs and oj go in the car with me for my drive, the yogurt, blueberries, banana, and almonds go in a sack for snacks, and I often get the salad at the market because I don't have time to prepare it ahead of time. If you don't have access to the pc at work you might want to just pre-plan and pre-log the next days food at night before you go to bed and have a game-plan already in mind for the next day.
I started there and then added the workouts. Once I saw some weight loss with being accountable for what I ate it motivated me to workout!! It wasn't so hard since I already owned a treadmill. I was getting up an hour earlier to workout but now I am actually working out at night and I like it more for a few reasons. First off I get to workout as long as I want and I'm not looking at the clock to make sure I get to work on time and the second greatest benefit has been how fast I am able to get ready for work in the morning now that I am showering before bed. With 2 small children at home there are some nights I don't hit that treadmill until 10:30 but it is all worth it in the end!!! I guess you could say my rest is watching tv while walking on the treadmill lol. I think the 6-8 hours of sleep every night is more important than resting. For me personally resting at night is a recipe for obesity -- I save it for the weekends :)
As far as eating out goes, I try to eat things I know what is in it like chicken on a salad with oil and vinegar, but mostly I make an attempt to log in something and I usually over-'guess'timate. The only thing to really watch out for at the restaurants is your portion sizes - some meals are like 20 servings
. I also don't eat out all the time anymore, maybe 1 or 2 nights a week.
Dawn :)
