Looking for a weight loss buddy
Hey everyone!
Well my name is Brooke and I am fairly new to the site. I joined a while back but was never active. I decided to come back to the site because I have had several people confront me about my weight. It's so embarrassing
. I'm tired of feeling insecure about myself so I decided to come back and lose weight! I started my new workout and diet today :)
I have gained 25lbs in a little over a year. I think having someone to talk to and motivate will help me on my weight loss journey. I will also do what I can to be a good buddy!! Here are my stats if you would like to be buddies:
Age: 20, turning 21 in August
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 156lbs
Goal: Lose 16 pounds by September 15, 2009

Hey Brooke, I'll be your buddy. I joined this site LAST YEAR, but I gave up. Then I came back in March and by April had given up once again. I suck at sticking to things lol.. I guess just an all-or-nothing type of girl, can't get out of the habit.
I used to be really skinny but I had two kids, so that contributed to the weight gain, but I'm a big foodie as well.
Here's my stats: I'm 24 will be 25 in August
I'm 5'6'' and my weight is 167
down from 174... My goal is to be at 150 by November (to lose 17lbs).

I've been on here since mid-April and have been really active with the site. I've already lost 8 lbs too and I feel really good. I'm 5'6", 20 and am currently 139 down from 147. It has definitely helped me to stay on track with CC because I joined a support group that was very helpful. For instance, when I've been super tempted to gorge my life away on junk food, it helped me knowing that there was a group of girls holding me accountable to sticking to my word. Unfortunately, I think the group sort of died out because no one has posted for a while. So, now I'm looking for new support! It may be a good idea if all of us started a group together since we all have similar stats. Either way, I'll help you out

I started on this site about three weeks ago and have lost about five pounds already and have been doing pretty well so far but I think it would help to have someone else to talk to who is in the same situation.

Hey guys! I'm Ana. I want to join in on just helping each other out. I'm at 146.5 at 5'4 1/2. I'm 20 years old. I'm looking to be anywhere from 125-130 lb. My heaviest was last summer when I was 162 and I lost all the way to 144 in like a four month span of working out and just making better food choices. I gained back like a couple of pounds and am looking to lose about 15 lb. I have insecurities about my weight and buddy and just want to get rid of them. My boyfriend helps because he thinks I'm perfect, but we all know that we need to feel good about ourselves. I too started this a while ago but have decided to become more active and take charge of my weight. My goal is to be 135 by September 1st... and like 128ish by the end of September I guess?. I also would like to see inches lost and a size 4 waist. I'm currently like a size 8 but more so because of my thighs and butt.
Can people explain calorie intake to me? Like some people say if they take in more calories, they lose more? I'm a little confused. I probably sound like an idiot, but I thought less calories = more weight loss but that does not seem to be the case. Please clarify this for me if you know.

Hey Brooke...our stats are about the same, other than the fact that I am almost twice your age. I feel so young until I say crap like that!
Anyways...5'7", weighted in today at 156 and would love to be 140 by Sept 15th. Since it appears that so many are interested in assisting you, why don't we all just keep this tread going and show our progress and tell each other what we are doing to attain our goals?
