Hey girls I have close stats too :]

Age: 17 [ almost 18 ]

Height: 5'5.5

Start weight: 135-140

Current weight: 122

Goal weight: 110-115

I cant wait to get to my goal!

Those goal weights seem really low to me. That puts you at a BMI around 19. Even with a very small frame, you are putting yourself very close to unhealthy.

What's the point? Are you trying to be some starving photogenic ideal size?

I'm just saying that you might want to consider abandoning an ideal weight on the scale and consider looking healthy.

Add muscle!

Do you want a flat stomach?

Add muscle.

Do you want a trim waist?

Add muscle.

Do you want skinny thighs?

Add muscle.

I'm 5'6, and weigh 133. I'm a size 6. That's with a healthy amount of body fat plus muscle on my bones. Believe me, no one thinks I'm fat.

Your body won't be a teenager forever. Get healthy now and you could look skinny forever.

Okay. Seriously, for the last time.

There is a reason they have a underweight, healthy weight, and overweight.

Because anything within the healthy being it high or low = HEALTHY.

In my opinion MAJORITY [ not saying all ]

- Low end = Small Frame

- Middle = Medium Frame [ this one could be a mix of all ]

- High end = Large Frame.

Either way they are all HEALTHY, and everyone is different and how they carry there weght.

Thats my opinion and I dont mean to offend anyone at all because someone could be made of muscle and be 5'5 and 140 and be a sexy beast but kind of for people who are not.

And plus inorder to see those abs dude your going to have to lose the fat on top of your stomach, and let me remind you, you can NOT spot reduce so the only other way is too..hmm..lets see.. LOSE WEIGHT yuup, your body decides where but eventually the fat will be off and TA-DA BAM ABS! So inorder for your muscle to show you need to have less fat :]

Plus everyone is different, and carries there weight differently. So being 5'5.5 and 133 looks horrible on me since when I gained weight it was all in the stomach area as for others could look amazing. An adult BMI of 19 is REALLY in the middle for teenagers thank you very much.

My sources: Doctors and this website.

Plus who ever said healthy was about losing weight. Its about treating your body nice, and exercising 3 times per week atleast doing cardio and muscle training. Its about eating 5-6 times a day. Eating 10-13x your weight. Its about eating 4-5 servings of veggies or fruit a day. Its about not eating so much empty carbs like junk fast food and sugar candies. Its about portion control. Weight is one of the factors but not the main one. If someone eats 5-6 times a day, healthy protiens, carbs & veggies and fats. Eat the recommended 10-13x your weight for instance 1220-1536 a day and exercises 3 times a week doing cardio and weight training, and is HEALTHY whats wrong with weighing a low healthy [ small frame ] 110-115 at 5'5.5?

Nothing. Thats what I thought.

I agree with heather and how these posts are getting a little annoying. I've personally been 114  and I've never felt better about myself. I had more energy and I wasn't so moody all the time. I wasn't a skeleton or what not either, my profile pic is me at 114 and I'm not underweight in that picture at all. And even at that weight I still had some chub on my tummy so it wasn't bad to be at that weight for me. But right now the mental aspect is what's really bothering me because i have low self esteem and I can't focus on other people because I feel so bad about myself. So yeah, it's not unhealthy to be at that weight.

hey dear! def not looking to loose any weight but judging from your account name you are veg. or vegan.  ive been vegan aside from seafood for about nine months.  its made me alot healthier and happier. so if you need any recipes or advice dont be shy

So if I have what is considered a small frame it wouldn't be unhealthy for me to aim towards the low end of my healthy BMI. I'm 5'5 at 125 and am aiming for 117lb's. Is this ok or should I aim for 120?

117lb. is as low as ur suppose to go for a small boned person ur height. but then again I would say its safe especially if ur a teen or young adult because ur still not 25, wich most of these calculators are made for.  117 would put ur BMI at 19.5 wich is still healthy and 1.0 away from underweight. So it would still be fine! : )

I'm personally wanting to be 120lb and that is for my height wich is 5'6.5" maybe 5'7" by now, so that is a little bit small because im supose to weigh more than i am allready for my height and bone size (small- medium) but i honestly think me being 120 will look better on me but it would put my BMI at 18.8 so hmm....

But yeah ur goal is good! :D

I think that is fine 117!

I am 5'5.5 and currently 120 on my spring scale, and 124.6 on my digital. I want to be 115 on my digital. I am currently trying to gain some muscle though :]

Hi!

Im almost 21, am about 5'7", and weigh about 145 ... i am trying to get back to my starting weight (pre-college) which was about 125 ... how are you girls doing it??

I have a personal trainer, and I am eating healthy ... I just feel like it takes FOREVER to lose weight ...

Me I do it different ways.

Right now though, I am exercising everday weight lifting every other day, and cardio every day between weight lifting. I eat six times a day, and I eat 1/4 Protein, 1/4 Carbs  and with 3 of the meals I eat 1/4 veggie. Usually you do 1/2 Protein, 1/2 Carb depends on you. Never get full, never get hungry is the trick.

Thats what I do. I just start weight lifting though because I dont want to be skinny fat, and I want to be able to eat how ever calories I want, and I want to look sexy.

I started at 140/135. I am currently 125 on my digital, 120 on my spring scale. I want to be 115 on my digital scale, and have 10-12% body fat and a high metabolism. I presume this will take 4 months. :]

...... i'm 5'5.5, 124/125ish, 16, looking to lose 4 pounds, who wants to be my buddy! :D

I'm 17, 5'5.5" (the half inch makes all the difference...)

started at 140, now at 133ish, trying to get to 110-115.
I'm having to agree with Heather - it's all how a person's body holds itself.
I have a fairly small frame, so the fat just sort of clings to my thighs, stomach, and hips. I really couldn't care less about losing weight, I just want to lose the fat *nodnod* but it seems like 110-115ish would take me where I want to be.

I've had a fairly unhealthy lifestyle for most of my life, and I pretty much just want to get uber-amazingly-suber-healthy before college starts... because I know that wouldn't happen -after- college.

Styna -

We have like the exact same stats and goals how funny!

Were both 17, 5'5.5 & started at 140, and want to be 110-115 :]

I have two scales and so I want to be 110 on the spring scale and 115 on the digital for some reason they weigh ME 5 pounds different but they will weigh 10 pound freeway correct on both WEIRD!

Right now I am about 9 pounds away! It seems so far though!

- 123.6 on my digital

and 118.6 on my spring.
