Okay,

My name is Sara and I'm 14. I am 5'7 and 150 pounds. The highest I've gotten to is 161 and the lowest (in the past year or so) is 145. I really want to get into the 130's. Im tired of being the fat girl.

I have a really bad habit of skipping meals. I skip breakfast (yes i know, its awful!) But i am trying to slowly eat more at breakfast but if i eat too much i feel sick the rest of the day. I also skip lunch.. at school i just never eat and instead stand/walk around the school with my friends. I dont like eating infront of other people. So since i dont eat from 7-4, which is almost 10 hours (and then plus sleeping, i dont eat for 17 hours out of 24. But in those six hours of eating, i eat. a lot. well not aalloott but high calorie stuff. Im big on starbucks and coffee and such.

But i am sick of this all. Im going to get into the 130.

People say i dont need to lose weight, but i actully truely do. Ill post pictures of myself sometime today.

So anyhow, if anyone want to talk about anything or if they are going through anything like that, just talk to me! :)

I'll be your buddy. :)

Just out of curiousity, what don't you like about eating in front of people?  Do you fell like they're judging you due to your size?

hey him Miranda and i know how ya feel, in fact when i was in highschool i went from being 120 to 150 and im only 5'3, honestly i didnt really know much about dieting, but it took me getting sick from allergies and walking from home to school and back to lose it all and in fact i lost too much weight cause i got down to 113. Anyways, i guess you could say its happen to me again, i got pregnant and went from 113 to 198 pounds, after the birth i lost 30 pounds, 6months later i got pregnant again so not only was i already 165 pounds i started gaining more at the end of that pregnancy i was 185 and lost 20 pounds since then i lost all the pregnancy weight from the 2nd pregnancy and an extra 10 pounds and i still need to lose another 30 or 40 pounds just to be in a healthy weight range. My advice to you is eat small in the morning, and keep snacks with you during the day and eat alittle bit throught out the day till you get home, that should help.
To veganpancake,

Yeah. Its just I wonder if they think "Wow, shes eating this and that and thats probably why shes overweight." I just feel totally stupid eating infront of people. Its really weird. I've been teased a lot.. in grade 2 i wasnt even fat yet, but people would still leave notes on my desk saying im fat.. but i probably really got fat at 10 or 9.. i always lose weight over the summer for some reason (i guess its from going out more, and not sitting in school). I usually lose 10-15 pounds during the summer but gain it back once school starts again. its frustrating. im just trying to get it off for good.. but it seems like whenever im stopping from over eating, i feel like an addict without my drug.. i go abosultly crazy and demand food. its awful! :S

To firefairy320,

Well I've never been pregnant but i understand how it can totally change your weight and body. I'm trying to have a snack at breakfast and im trying to get in something at lunch. Another thing that sucks is there is almost no time at lunch.. My school is huuuge so it takes like 5 min just to get back to your locker. Our lunch is 30 min and with all the people moving around, you usually get about 15 of actul quality time. Plus my friends always are moving around and im really shy with eating infront of people. I just eat after school.
i'm 14 and 5'7as well iand iwant to lose weight :D i'l be your buddy

Don't worry about it&nbs p;- you're young and your  body is still changing.& nbsp; Plus once you get out of middle/high school people won't really rag on you about your weight any more.

That said - if you r eally want to lose weight  you need to:

A) maintain a balanced, H EALTHY diet

B) exercise

I highly recommend the 'Abs Diet' - 6 meals throughout the day.  ; Solid mix of carbs, proteins, a nd healthy fats. I imagine you'll be able to find NUMEROUS foods that fit within its system that you actually enjoy eating too...

Do NOT starve yourself - for one, it will do more harm than good, and for two - you simply don't need to!

I'd also highly recommend  ;jogging.  Start slow -&n bsp;and build up.

December 2006 I weighed ~ 210 and could run less than a mile without being winded.  Last October I&n bsp;was ~165 when I finis hed the Chicago marathon!!

It all starts with a first step though - be patient and pace yourself.

Best of luck

- oh, and drink LOTS  ;of water ---> ~ gallo n throughout the day
