What does it take to loose 2lbs per week?

I think it's obvious really, you stay on target with your calorie intake, drink plenty of water and excercise. But I want to know more what do you to help yourself and your weight loss out. I know people who drink green tea or take b-12 shots. I really want to be able to loose 2lbs per week I know it may be a lot to ask but that would really motivate me. So I just want to know what everyone does besides diet and excercise.

No matter how you go about it, all you have to do is create a 1000 calorie deficit per day to lose 2 pounds a week. Just make sure you don't eat less than 1200 calories a day, this will probably mean incorporating exercise so that you can eat more.

To lose 2lb/week, you need to a) eat 1000 calories less than you burn b) start off large enough that your body can lose that fast.

Weekly weight loss faster than losing 1% of your body weight is going to be too fast, and most of us can't even lose that fast. For instance, when I started, I weighed 168, and the fastest I could lose was 1lb/week, even though in theory, I should have been able to lose 1.68lb/week

A 7,000 calorie deficit each week.

Good luck with that.

If you don't do strengh training already, you should consider it.  More muscle = More fat burned during rest.  Plus it makes you feel good and stronger, no matter what the scale says week to week.
