Loose rhymes with goose. Lose rhymes with shoes.

Not picking on anyone's posts or commenting on any particular thread, but this is just a little something that I've taught to my nieces/nephews that helps them a lot.

LOL!  No, come on, let's pick on posts....  Smile  Can I add that 'hungry' means you want something to eat whereas 'hungary' is a country in Eastern Europe... ?

Love this !! Stuff like this drives me crazy too !

As a fellow grammar diva, I thank you!

HAHA being a misspeller, I got the totally wrong message from this post, but I think it works too:

loose rhymes with goose (fat goose, yuck)

lose rhymes with shoes (so get out there and move/run/exercise) if you wanna lose that weight you big fat goose!

This one is my favorite!! Thanks for the smile, gi-jane :)

My personal pet peeve is the lost distinction between "your" and "you're." Drives. Me. Crazy.

Tom, Peter and I me misuse personal pronouns on a regular basis.

I'm hungary for a turkey baked in greece.

Is the moon full again already?  It seems like we just had this discussion.

Mine is "there", "their", and "they're".

I left Turkey for Hungary.

yes, the 'Full Cold' moon to be exact, quite spectacular really.

i saw the full moon on my way to work this morning - i agree

spectacular (for a moon)

Well that settles it.  The loose v. lose topic comes with every full moon.

I am so glad someone piped up about this...it does bug me a bit.  Understandable that when typing fast, or on a laptop mistakes can and will be made...but there are just too many to list w/ loose vs lose.

Moon snuck out last night. I heard her crying when SO got up at 5:00 AM, I thought she was in the garage, but she was on the roof of the garage, AGAIN. She wouldn't come down, but she kept crying. I went back to sleep. She was at the back door when she heard me at 6:45. She was cold and then she ate like a pig, so yes, the Moon is full, but she's warm and sleeping now.
