How to loose stubborn fat from 3 areas

Quote  |  Reply

Hello everyone I just joined calorie count and am super excited.  I've lost 30lbs already and have set a goal of 200lbs to start.  I needed to start with a little goal to keep me motivated.  I am currently 225lbs.  My question for anyone is,

I have stubborn fat right above my bum that buldges out.  I've tried and tried to get rid of it can someone give me some advice on some exercises to fix this problem.  Also exercises to get rid of under arm fat and fat pooches right under the arm pit on the side where the bra sits.  I'm desprate to find exercises for these 3 areas.  Please help.  Jenn

The way I have always thought - you lose fat from areas in reverse order you gained it.

I am sure there are specific weight machines, or ways to lift free weights for those areas - but i'm not well versed in such.

I accepted a while ago, my areas I hate the most will be the last to go, and once the weight I want off is off, and those are still an issue, then I will move on to concetrating on those areas Cool

Unfortunately, there's no way to spot reduce fat.  Any ads you see about exercise machines, pills, or creams are not true.  A perfect example is anything that advertises itself as a way to get "6-pack" abs.  Clearly defined abs are a result of single-digit body fat.  You can have rock hard abs and do 1000 situps a day under 15% BF - until you really clean up your diet and lose the excess fat, you won't see them.

As you lose weight, your body will pull fat from all over.  Now, if you are building muscle, you may see them become more noticeable, but just because you are working your arms, legs, or whatever, doesn't mean the fat will be lost from there.

The first places you "appear" to lose weight are usually places like your face since the bones are so close to the surface.

In fact, focusing exercises on areas where you have a bulge that you find unlpeasant will have the opposite effect of reducing that area. As the muscles develop, that fat will still be there, but there will be larger muscles underneath, which will cause that area to become more prominent.
