So after I was attacked/mugged Monday night I haven't been able to sleep and/or eat properly. I'm walking around with a weeklong headache now, haven't been able to work out since Sunday and am bloated like a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.
My period is also late now, probably due to stress. (Note: SEVERE bloating.) I'm in physical pain as well as emotional and am starting to feel useless? I so badly want to go running or go to the gym, but neither of those things have happened yet because a)I'm now paranoid of being outside alone while I'm running and b)because I haven't eaten/slept enough to have the strength to exercise.
Another thing is that the little that I have been able to consume is absolute crap. All I want to eat is chocolate! I'm so bummed/stressed out. This is so very unlike me. I've never not gone without the gym for this long of a period of time, which is only adding to my stress! This post probably makes no sense but I feel like a looney toon since the incident ![]()
I'm so sorry that you were attacked! I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling...
Do you have a close friend/family member you can talk to? Even someone who might be able to give you a gentle push to continue to be active, someone who'll go running with you.
Go see your doctor if the bloating is causing you pain.

First, here's a ((hug))
You are responding normally. I don't know the details, but for sure your space has been invaded. Your security has been violated. You feel like your world has changed.
It is normal for you feel fearful and it will help for you to talk to someone about it. If you work, see if your employer offers an EAP (Employee Assistance Program). Most EAPs include free or very low cost counselors. It's not meant for long-term disorders--it's meant to help people through a crisis and employers offer it as a way to keep their employees productive.
Uhm...if you really meant "Lord help me," send me a PM and we can talk about that, too.
Please don't just stay in fear. You're gonna have to walk (or run) through it. One way to do that is to find others that have had to deal with it, too.
More ((hugs))
I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling. Hugs to you((())). Talk to people and go ahead an indulge a little. There are times when chocolate is medicinal. Chocolate has endorphins which help you feel happy.http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/indepth.food/sweets /chocolate.cravings/index.html
Okay, exercising creates endorphins, too, but sometimes we need a quick fix.
And the Lord will help you. You just had to ask ;-)
wow im so sorry to hear that, you should join a support group.
Oh honey please talk to your doctor. You may need some anti-anxiety medication short term. God knows that life is too short to walk around paranoid, as valid as a feeling as that may be.
I'm so sorry that there are people in this world who make it more difficult for those of us who just want to LIVE but unfortunately with the good, there must also be a counter-balance of bad. The good news is, the reverse is true too.
You'll get back to normal. Try some serious "me" time where you just relax and enjoy something simple like the beach or a movie or a favorite drink. Also, as soon as you feel like you can physically manage it, even if you emotionally don't, you should get back to exercising because its a great way to get morale up. You need those endorphins!
Good luck. ((hugs))
