lose 10 pounds by April 28th!!. Anyone want to join in?
I have struggled all my life with emotional eating. Im a professional Performer and always have to be in the best shape It alot of pressure . I have a big audition in April and have to lose weight to prepare. I would love to have support.....
Count Me In, I got a long way to go before I meet my goal, but 10 pounds will help me get there!
I'd love to join in. I started my "lifestyle change" about 5 weeks ago. I am 6'1" and weighed about 270 when I began. With 5 weeks of eating different and exercising about 1 hour a day, I'm down to 240. So I was able to drop about 30 pounds in 5 weeks. I'm looking to get down to 170lbs (over the course of the next 8 months or so)... So I will certainly jump in on this. I wish everyone good luck. I'll be checking back soon!
count me in as well - i'd love to lose 10 pounds by then! so that's 35000 cals over 49 days... 714 cal deficit per day (if i calculated right)... that will definitely be pushing it for me, but being in this challenge will give me extra motivation... though i won't be weighing myself this week (TOTM), but my weight last i checked in (about a week ago) was 140.2 so..

I'm in - I lost 30 pounds last year and have gained it ALL back. I just started two days ago counting calories. This would be a great way to be accountable to someone other than myself. I hope to lose the weight by this summer.

Im in too! I was trying to lose weight after my breast reduction surgery I had in November and I was sitting at about 158
Well, December came and went and I started getting motivated again and I wanted to lose 23 lbs by my 23rd birthday (which was Feb 25)
Well Mid January some D-bag ran a stop sign and t-boned my car....Ive been going to physio AND I am back up to 166 lbs!!!!!!! I want to lose 30 lbs by the end of June, so losing 10 lbs by the end of April well....I would love to accomplish that!
Its just so hard to get motivated these days and being I gained a bunch of weight back from (emotional eating) and binge eating.... *sigh* I want to look great in time for warm weather! (well in Canada warm weather is like June til September hahahaha-oh god) anyway....

I would love to join you in losing 10 lbs!! I just started exercising again and realize that i have to cut out my late night eating. I think it is important to keep track of calorie intake as well as finding good substitutes for fatty and high calorie foods : ) Lets do it!!!
I would love to join. I'm at 145 right now and would love to get to 120 by May 30 (120 or look 120 at least, I know I'll be gaining muscle mass) I can see myself at 135 by April 19. There's a Dead show that I hope to be semi-clothed for :)
I started out at 150 a month ago, its been a slow month but I know it's because I haven't been staying under my calorie limit or exercising. So I'm surprised I lost any weight at all!
Tinka- I love your enthusiasm. It's great to have that kind of attitude. But focus on that forward momentum instead of dwelling on the fact you've gained weight back. I succumbed to the Freshmen Fifteen and I feel like a doofus. But I'm over the guilt and I'm ready to lose the weight!
sgravely- I know how much it sucks to lose a lot of weight and then gain it back! I'm pretty much in the same situation as you except I lost 30 pounds about 2 years ago and was able to keep most of it off until the beginning of this school year. Calorie counting was how I lost it and not calorie counting was how I gained it. So we're in the right place
daviscn323- Good for you, we all have to start somewhere. Setting small goals along the way is a surefire plan for keeping your self-confidence up.

I'm definitely in! I'm about the same as courtney 2163 and may not need to lose a full 10, but close to it. I've gained since the holidays and never got back on track, but gotten worse - sweets are my weakness! With senior prom coming early May, this is perfect timing! ![]()
OOH! yes! This is what I need! Getting married in August, and really need to get the ball rolling with my weight loss. I feel like 10 is a SIMPLE goal for that amount of time, especially because I am just starting up again *sadly. I will be checking in. Good luck everyone.

Alright...I went to the gym this morning and took a "boot camp" class...I think I might even be able to get back to the gym this evening. My son has soccer practice at the Rec. Park, so while he does that I will run...so wish for NO RAIN (even though we really need it)!!! Going to try my hardest to keep my eating under control, which is my real problem. Hope you all are doing well...
I'd love to join! However, I think I'll make my goal 5 lbs, because I'm pretty small and 10 lbs would be too big a percentage of my current weight.
What's the format of this? Weekly weigh-ins or just one big one at the end?
Goals/strategy: Cut out my excess carbohydrates (I don't need 6 slices of bread a day!), get to the gym at least 3 times a week and continue walking to and from work when my schedule allows.
