Or if you don't celebrate, lose 30 pounds by December 25th.

I'm starting a weight loss club for people who wanna lose 30 pounds to look good around the holidays. It's a time of year when you're around family much more often, and see many people that only come around once a year. Wouldn't it be great to shock them this year with your new body?

We will have weekly weigh-ins to keep track of everyone's progress. And with everyone's support and encouragement in this group from their peers, we should all feel more motivated to reach our goals.

When joining this group, please post a little bit about yourself, your strengths, weaknesses and your expectations, so we can all get to know each other a little better.

WHO'S WITH ME? :)

almdennis- keep the faith! I have been watching my daily fluctuations, and just curiously, after I blow-dried my hair, with shoes and a sweater, jeans and a long sleeve shirt (not to mention socks, bra, underwear, and tanktop) I got on the scale, just cause (I'm slightly obsessed) and what do you know... I was 163.0? What? After dinner and everything?

So my point is, we fluctuate (which, this could be a fluke as well, it doesn't count til morning) and hopefully you'll fluctuate back down too! Good luck! I'd love to be able to put down 159 next sunday!

219.5 pounds from 250 lbs.

Total weight loss - 30.5 pounds

I don't really know what else I can say. I actually lost more weight this week because I didn't really care about what I ate from Mon - Thursday, then Friday and Saturday I got back on the wagon. I have a starch and protein in the morning, then typically eat every 3 to 4 hours a green vegetable and protein. That's pretty much it really. I take multivitamins and stuff. Well, good luck.

Well, I did make sure to eat every few hours, and in order to make sure that happened, I would do all my cooking one day a week so that I could easily microwave something. I'd brown bag my lunch to work and it was typically meat and vegetables (however, that is not implying that I had plain meat and vegetables because this whole experience taught me how to make the most delicious food I've ever eaten using only meat and vegetables).

However, they told me when I started my new job with the usps that it's unlikely if I will ever have time to eat lunch, so I must plan accordingly for that. He said if I get hungry, I should bring something like a pop tart, but that stuff is pretty unhealthy, so I have to figure out something convenient yet very healthy. Anyway, I found out that by going a few days just eating whatever I felt like, that got my body used to carbs and fats again, so then when I went back on my diet, I burned fat just like how a person does when they first start dieting, so now the weight is really flying right off. I'm actually 218.5 this morning.

It sounds like very simple and basic eating which I think is the way to go. Good luck with your new job!

Well i think the 146 was a one day thing because the next day I was 150. I am really frustrated that I am not loosing weight. But at the same time I feel like I dont have enough time to go to the gym and work out as much as I need to. This week and next week are my last weeks of hell at school for at least a month. I CANT WAIT. But um I dont know. I am proud that I am eating normal again, because i used to binge eat alot (thats how i gained 30 lbs), but i just wish it would come off because I am running and eating healthy. GRRR. Oh and i see the boyfriend for the first time in two months this weekend so hopefully he notices :) AHH but only a month and a half to loose 20 lbs. Not sure i can do it...

    I'M BACK!

Hello, how is everyone doing? I've read all your posts, I am very pleased to see everyone doing so well! Congratulations!

I saw a couple of people that were up, but it's okay, we all fluctuate with our weight. I know I went up a little bit. Being on vacation kills you, especially when you boyfriend buys a ton of meal plans and takes you to a food and wine festival where you sample tons of different foods!

I know now that in order to reach my goal by Christmas eve (the biggest night of the year at my house), I have to kick my diet in hardcore now and not get sidetracked. I will catch myself making excuses for not caring about my weight sometimes, like when I don't feel like driving to go to the gym, or I have too much homework or I'm just plain drained after a day at work - but on the few days I do actually go to the gym, I feel just so great afterward, like I actually accomplished something when all I did was exercise for a couple hours. And when it comes to food and being hungry, I look at it this way: If I'm not hungry, I just won't eat. And if I'm bored and actually get hungry from being bored, I don't need to make food or get food. It actually takes effort to eat. You would actually lose weight sitting on the couch watching tv instead of getting up to make food. So yeah, those are a few healthy perspectives I've picked up along the way....

I also will be following an eBook I received from my very close friend, posthuman fetus, who actually has been the first person to reach the 30-Pound Challenge Goal. How did he do it? Well, hard work and dedication, and, well, not having a full-time job, haha. He would get up every morning four hours before work, make breakfast, pack work clothes and head to the gym where he worked out for two hours. Then he'd go to work, stop at the gym when he got out, and exercise another two hours. He also read the eBook, Crack the Fat-Loss Code, followed it religiously and lost the weight the book promised he would, and then some.

I am going to post my routine on here so others can see it and compare it with my results. If anyone else would like to post their exercise routines on here, that'd be great!

    • Morning walk or jog every day or every other day
    • Gym Wedsneday night through Monday afternoon (I work Tuesdays)
    • No more fried food or dining out until I reach my goal
    • At least two hours of moderate exercise a day
    • No eating within two hours of bedtime, no midnight snacking
    • Saying "NO" when people offer me more food at dinner parties
    • Grocery shopping three times a week so I can eat fresh more regularly
    • No processed or frozen foods chock-full of preservatives and trans fats
    • Eating smaller meals more frequently instead of larger meals sparingly
    • Limiting my carb-intake
    • Keeping a journal where I answer discuss my goals

I have to close up and go to lunch, but before I do, I want to ask everyone to close their eyes for a few minutes and just imagine yourself at your goal weight. Imagine how you feel. Imagine putting on your new clothes, imagine going out and feeling great, imagine the feeling of accomplishment. Imagine feeling healthy; vital and alive.

I had a friend over last night who gains an average of 20 pounds a year. That's A LOT, and incredibly unhealthy. I give her fitness advice all the time and she uses it for a little while, then gets back into her bad habits. Last night, she ate SO much food that she ended up feeling sick all night and eventually threw up twice. I finally asked her at what point she would ackowledge that her habits won't lead her to happiness.

    Total Weight Loss: 12.6 lbs!

Slowly but surly I'm still loosing :) I've been so screwed up in my daily schedule. I've been a bad girl by not planning ahead and making a lunch for myself and logging my calorie intake. But on the flip side I have been walking a lot and going to aerobic classes :D So I'm not doing too bad. It's just that things have slowed down a bit. I'm really proud of my self as I have lost 29.2 lbs total so far since I joined CC. I'm now 12.6 lbs from my absolute final goal (lol which is the total amount I've lost in this challenge so far..humm coincidence?). I need to loose 2 lbs per week to make the 30 lb goal.

I know this is a long challenge and I hope those of you that are loosing momentum, just get back into it. You know what you need to do. JUST DO IT!! Sorry for shouting, but we all want to be losers here. hehehe I agree with deloughy don't make excuses! You've worked so hard to lose this weight. Don't give up!!!

If you're bored or depressed get up and do something that removes you from that funk. Don't turn to food or the TV. Go outside, or jump in the car and drive to the gym, or jump on the treadmill. Call a friend and walk together.

Only 7 more weigh-ins folks. You can do this! :D Try as hard as you can to make that 30 lbs or just do your personal best.

Well, between 2 birthdays, 1 anniversary, a Halloween party, and TTOM I had just a tad too many calories and a lot of salt/water retention. I was around 211 on the 3rd and I'm back to 209.8 today. Perhaps I can carry on now until Thanksgiving with minimal issues.
