I have been within 10 lbs of my original goal of 150 for at least a month. 

I got all the way down to 153, and then sodium and stress bumped it back to 159, 157 today.  

I would like a group of motivational girls to buddy up with who exercise, try to eat right, to work with on a challange to get to goal!!!!

I run with my dog and ride an exercise bike -- every day.   I was using a Bowflex religiously with fantastic results, but I broke up with my ex of 4+ years and it was his..... so any strength workout ideas would be helpful!  I drink at least 100 oz of water every day at work, more at home.  My ex sort of helped me into a drinking problem with his World Of Warcraft addiction, so I am trying not to drink much and just be social vs. what I was doing.....  I have no friends (except at work) who were not OUR friends, so I am struggling a little with boredom eating and long nights and weekends with nothing to do....  I live in one small town and teach in another, so there's not much to do for young singles...  

Anywho, hoping to find a kicking group of hot chicks to lose 10 lbs by Christmas.....    JOIN ME!!!  ( :

uh oh- now I am really self conscious with my writing with all these educators..... I am going back to school in January if that counts for anything :) lol Dumb alcohol- it is my downfall as well, but my goal is to get that taken care of quickly :0) It is nice to meet you all!

i weight myself everyday just to keep track of how my body changes

 

i weighed 140.6 this morning. still 5.6 more pounds to go.

 

my goal for tomorrow is anything below 140.4 pounds. i ate 1800 today and exercised 250.

things i did right today

 

--ate a some what balanced breakfast

--ate lots of veggies at lunch and cucumber for dinner

 

things i did wrong

--had chocoolate chips, cotton candy, and a WHOLE halloween cup cake

Hi girls im ciara, age 28 146lbs at the minute, had a baby boy on new years day and am finding it hard to shift the weight, ive joined weight watchers, done great the first 4 weeks but wednesday i put on 3 bl, really knocked me back. i was hoping i could maybe join your challenge, im gettin married in June 09 and have bought wedding dress size 10, didnt realise if its boned and all that it would be one size smaller so im kinda under pressure, want to do it healthy

Question: i have muscular legs, is there any way to slim my thunder thighs?

me too! i have a size XS-S upper body, and a S or M lower body, 

 

my legs are not muscular, but they are not flabby either and i dont rlly like how they look.

 

i'm a college freshman and ive decided that my goal for this year is to learn, social and get in shape (great shape! 120 lbs-awesome-great shape!)

 

back to topic, i weighed myself today and was 141 lb.

 

0.4 up from yesterday due to cupcakes...

 

what i thought i did really good yesterday was:

our college had a concert night and everyone just indulged on liquor and candy afterward at around mid night. i didnt. 

but this morning i got up and ate all teh candies and cookies that i didnt eat last night. i logged them all in though. i wont'go  over 1200 in total (total as in intake minus output). my goal weight tmw is 140.4 lbs.

 

since everyone else seems like they already finished college/that phase of life, can i ask for an advice?

 

waht do you guys think about alcohol? I'm trying to lose 20 lbs by March 28,2009, what should i do? i dont like drinking that much. but do u think that will create problems to my social life?

aw, i've so been there syzhu..

alcohol is okay if you just have liquor and diet soda.. stay away from sugar punches. don't let calorie counting hurt your social life! it's possible to eat very healthy even if your friends don't.  don't starve yourself saving calories for drinks at night, or don't avoid going out if you have already reached 1200.  just borrow from the next day and burn extra calories; it will help detox your body too.

Weigh ins Wed, I like.    If that is ok with everyone else.....    Not a Nazi though.... I say report new, happy numbers and all that any time....  Also, since some of you are new, TAKE MEASUREMENTS!!!!   and refer to those when the scale is not cooperating.  Saves my sanity sometimes.....

I think friends are going to love you whether you drink or not, right??   I can have a blast with or without.  For me, drinking had become a way of getting numb and avoiding the MASSIVE unhappiness and dissatisfaction I felt with the ex who was addicted to World of Warcraft (eye roll) I am trying to be more social about it ie not drink alone and not to be "less unhappy" but to have fun and be with my friends. 

20 lbs is a lot by March, but possible?   welcome to annylju and getpretty and ciara too, btw--and congrats on kiddo and marriage upcoming! 

thunder thighs??   ride a bike or run.  I was AMAZED at how much my torso, legs, hips and butt all shrank and leaned out when I took up riding a stationary bike....   

syzhu --  I love your things I did right and wrong lists....   I may have to do that too....   maybe things I rocked and things to work on....  I hate the idea of "wrong"     ( :

michl -- our SPanish teacher is really old and totally burnt out.  WIsh you could come to my school!   gosh>  I love my job.  Keeps me young and on my toes.  It;s year 7 for me -- which seems IMPOSSIBLE.  just went to a wedding

How'd we all do with Halloween?   I love chocolate, but I had none on hand hence no problems.  Plus I was in the car 5 hours yesterday, driving to St. Louis to meet up with my high school sweetheart for the weekend.     No time to waste on candy!!

thanks for the tips on alcohol guys! and i will definitely try the stationary biking thing =)

all my suitemates went trick or treating so there is a lot of candy in my room. but no worries. this week is my mid term week so i will be studying in library on monday and tuesday (or studying with other ppl somewhere ELSE). on wedesday i have 3 hours of classes and 5 hours of work. on thursday im going back home for a reunion!!! =P

 

so hopefully by the time i come back (sunday) all candies will be gone =)

just remember one badly made, poor tasting, unsatisfying fun size candy bar is 50+ cals.   not really worth it in the grand scheme of things.    Good luck studying!!!

It's a pleasure to be in this group.  I have a problem with my calves as well as my thighs, both just seem HUGE to me.

Halloween was fab for the first time...I actually hate Halloween, but a few friends and myself went for dinner and drinks and I didn't get drunk but rather just had a couple of drinks and did ALOT of walking.

I'm excited about Wednesday's weight-in.  I'm praying for a big drop since I only lost .6lbs last...a loss is a loss I guess.

what a miracle. i find that whenever i pray more/more spiritually fullfilled, im less anxious and thus dont emotionally overeat =P

i really want to control my desire of food. i cant stand being controled by that any more.

I would love to join your group as well :) I'm ready to lose 10 by Thanksgiving... I've been between 143-147 back and forth for over 3 months now and would like to get down to my normal normal weight which is 125 but getting to 134 is a good goal for THXgiving... I work out a lot and vary my work out to Runs, Biggest Loser DVD's... Bob & Jillian kick my ass! Jump Rope and am now realizing my insomnia and midnight snack attacks plus my drinking my beloved wine has stopped me from really truly losing... I could not break into the 130's for a long time and am ready to do it this month! ...

I would love to be up for this challenge... Are there official weigh in days? I weigh 143 now and would love to get to 133 by TDay! Innocent

i had one bad day with no exercise and too much food, my weight went up from 140.2 to 142.4.....

I'd like to join! I'm 5'6'' and have been fluctuating between 175-180 for awhile now. I need some motivation to jump start me. I know that only leaves me a little over three weeks to get to 165 but with my fluctuating I'd be happy with 170. Either way...it will help me get out of this slump. I'm going for 165 though!

This weekend was ok- didn't drink much which leads to no hangover eating, Big plus. Rode bikes on Sunday, so feel good about that.

Excited to start a new week (not work wise, but diet/exercise wise :))

This weekend wasn't so good, which is usually the case for me. I always do great during the week and then ruin all my hard work on Saturday. At least I exercised so hopefully I didn't blow it too bad. Plus, I had salad for lunch (that doesn't really make up for the beers with dinner though:)

good thing weigh in is not until wed. I'm hoping for the best

So I worked out pretty hard yesterday to counter balance the drinking from Halloween! I drank so so so much but all good... gonna do a hard work out today to, trying to maintain working out at least 6days of week... really would like lose the 10 pounds or at least inches from my body by TDAY....

Michelle- I have the same problem with the wine, I have a light dinner but consume too much wine..it's my vice :(

Bella - Hi :) congrats on the no hangover eating...that's the worst... I usually like greasy the next day! trying to control drinking until TDAY

Mindymusc - Hi -- my problem has been fluctuating and I am ready to get past that too!

Syzhu - the 2 pounds was definitely water weight ... counter balance it by drinking lots of water to flush out and work out to burn the cals... the 2 pounds will go away if you do that... that's how I started creeping back up when I hit 140 I neglected my diet and excersice program and before I knew it I got up to 147 :( not back to where I started but midway ... so nipping it in the bud before it happens is key... that's what I will be doing now ... hoping to get up to 134 by TDAY so we have similar goals... you can do it, don't get discouraged by the scale it can be a bummer and cause the rest of day to go down a weird spiral ...

Ok...have a healthy day everyday is a chance to lose some weight! let's do it :)
