I have been within 10 lbs of my original goal of 150 for at least a month.

I got all the way down to 153, and then sodium and stress bumped it back to 159, 157 today.

I would like a group of motivational girls to buddy up with who exercise, try to eat right, to work with on a challange to get to goal!!!!

I run with my dog and ride an exercise bike -- every day.   I was using a Bowflex religiously with fantastic results, but I broke up with my ex of 4+ years and it was his..... so any strength workout ideas would be helpful!  I drink at least 100 oz of water every day at work, more at home.  My ex sort of helped me into a drinking problem with his World Of Warcraft addiction, so I am trying not to drink much and just be social vs. what I was doing.....  I have no friends (except at work) who were not OUR friends, so I am struggling a little with boredom eating and long nights and weekends with nothing to do....  I live in one small town and teach in another, so there's not much to do for young singles...

Anywho, hoping to find a kicking group of hot chicks to lose 10 lbs by Christmas.....    JOIN ME!!!  ( :

lol thanks!

all my other suitemates are really nice people=)

i wish college has a more healthy environment (regarding food) though

syzhu, don't let those uppeties get to you! Just remember that you are a good person and that's what counts:)

All right guys, it's the weekend!, well almost. I am making a goal of working out on Sat and Sunday, planning dinner so I don't have any urges(yeah right! I mean LESS urges), what else??

I don't know, weekends are just the worst for me. I probobly would've lost alot more by now if it wasn't for that.

What are your plans?

AMEN, michl!

WEEKEND CHALLANGE, LADIES!!!     work out both days this weekend, and eat right!!

That is my weekend self-challenge this week too.  I did well all week this week, took today off on purpose (knees hurt), and plan to pick it up again tomorrow.   ( :

Totally up for the weekend challege particularly because it is my husband's birthday on Sunday and I especially need to workout all weekend and get my ass in gear!!!  I have a party tonight, romantic dinner Saturday with Seth, then Sunday brunch to celebrate with him and his family!!!  so much eating!!

i think the weekend challenge is an awesome idea!

my college is having a big game with our rivalry college this weekend--everyone is travelling to the other college and well, celebration and food are sure to come! =)

my plan for the weekedn is--no booze, eat healthy, and exercise

wow, it sounds like a no brainer, but it's actually extremely hard to implement (for me LOL)

my weight went down again today, it was 139.8 lb yesterday and this morning it is 138.8. I will keep working out and not eating too much in the future and hopefully i can keep losing!

what's everyone's favorite workout routine? Mine is the elipticals...because my thighs are huge (proportional wise) and i really want to tone them down =)

I'll join you on losing 10 lbs. by turkey day. (that will definitley be a challenge for me, 5lbs would make me happy. more than that = happier!!!)

I commend you on your water intake, close to a gallon a day, I too try to drink lots of H2O,

Keep up the Good Work

Sychzu- do you find that the elliptical actually does help with toning down your thighs?  I have a very pronounced pear shape, 34in chest, 42in hips, 25in thingh, 15in calves and a 29in waist.  I've been doing the treadmill, HIIT program as of late so I'm hoping to see results n my measurements by next month!  I'll keep my fingers cross.  Also, I've been doing "the really fast fat loss" program.  I'll see how it works, but it is really intense along side HIIT.

What kind of exercise do the rest of you do?

Hi ladies!

Syzhu- sorry to hear that you have some crap suitemates- sadly, you will run into people like that for the rest of your life, so take this as a learning experience on how to cordially deal with people like that- you in turn will come off elegant a sophisticated to everyone you meet. I had some snots in my dorm and my roomie insisted on ordering late night pizza AFTER eating in the dining hall. Luckily I had some pretty good eating habits growing up, so the dining hall choices weren't hard to make- lots of salad :) and at first the pizza was tempting, but the smell it would leave turned me against eating it (at least in the dorm- lol) She bothered me enough that another dorm girl and I spent time in the gym and walking outside on nice days.

Weekends are bad for me and especially this month- bday celebration that started last Friday! All people very close to my heart who want to do something nice- how can i refuse :) Then there is Thanksgiving!

My goal will be exercise and everything good in moderation!

My legs are big- For a while I did elliptical, but I have started running (I feel I challenge myself more- with the elliptical, I tend to zone out too much) and spin class.... My legs will always be bigger though, so toning is the only hope I have for them. When I was in high school, I loved soccer, but always lamented that the training/game made my legs bigger, but when I look at pictures I think what was I thinking- if only I could get those back! I know I can't make them much smaller, but I can shape and define :)

Wow- that was extensive babbling :)

hi bella

sry for your words

but im confused abt the leg problem--does eliptical and running make them bigger?

welcome, shelly!  ( :

I do not think that elliptical and running make you bigger.   I found a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the (thinner) size of my thighs and butt when I started running and biking.  Those are my workouts of choice.   I also do a lot pushups and abs, but I do cardio dang near every day.

BE GOOD THIS WEEKEND, LADIES!!!!!!!!!

SORRY!! Told you writing is not my forte.... basically if you are prone to "bigger" legs that you can't get them stick thin, but you can improve on the way they look and that what I saw as "big" was actually tone and definition and that was good. As you tone the fat will burn up (but you can't spot train fat away) so yes, they will get smaller, but only to what your genes allow. I guess I am saying don't be afraid to work the lower body- its good!

AGREEING WITH BELLA!!!!     work the lower body  (larger muscle groups) = more fat burn and cal burn and all that jazz......

that said, I got up, did not pass GO, did not collect $200, and DID JOG 4 MILES>    did you workout today?     ( :

I am sitting here, working up the nerve to be an elf for my mom on the square to advertise her infernal craft show.  Should be entertaining.    I  will post a pic, but you have to be my friend to see it.....   just to keep the ex from being nosy, all my pics my the default are private......

How are all of you?????

sorry for being confusing- I am glad you got me J, I hope everyone else does! I say if they are big they want to be seen, arms, butt or whatever and you have to maximize the way they look - lol

Way to go J!! I did not workout today- been cleaning for the fam to come over for dinner tomorrow :( maybe tomorrow morning... I always feel better when chores are done first. An elf, huh? should be cute! enjoy!

Part of my journey to confidence: Although weight loss is mostly for health, it is difficult to see the internal organs working better, so unfortunately it is easy to focus on the appearance... I decided I am going to look at it differently than "If I lose weight, I will look better" to "I have a great body (I can see hints of it :)) and I am going to shed the layer to show it off!"

Hope the weekend finds you all well!

I think we are all too hard on ourselves as a rule....   I am my own worst enemy personally..... GOOD ATTITUDE, bell.....      you are gorgeous, inside and out.   Now it is just about feeling good in your skin, girl.   ;)

I was a super cute elf, FROZEN TO THE BONE, walking around the square and standing on the street corner, advertising, but she's paying me, so who cares????   See profile, friends, for photos.....    We are doing my family Thanksgiving tomorrow while my sister and her husband are up from TX.   I WILL BE GOOD.    I will not overeat.  I will work out before I go.    I will be proud of myself when I come home.   THAT means, my worries will be over and I can

We did decide it would be cool with all of us if I tweak the posting title to reflect further goals beyond Turkey Day, right?   : )

had my family Thanksgiving early yesterday, so I am done with all that jazz.

Good luck to all of you!  ( :

Just remember, holidays are one day ---  this is the rest of our lives.......    Stay strong!   Go for a walk after........

hi everyone

best wishes to you all!

good attitude, syzhu!  ( :

that's all one can ever do....   chin up.   Hope it was FUN!!!!!

I think New Year might be good as well!!  Sweet!!!
