Today's Motivation: Having you guys to keep me honest.

Plan: Stay under 1400 calories and go for a walk with my friend tonight!
Just wanted to report that I met both of my goals tonight. I stayed under my calorie limit and I went for a walk! I'm going to weigh myself again tomorrow since the number I reported today was a couple days old.  Can anyone give me directions on how to measure myself accurately? I'm never sure where to measure and I never know if I have the right number when I'm done.

Well what I was told is that under the bust you measure where your bra would sit. The natural waist is the smallest part of your torso then hips you measure at its widest part. When I had my measuremnt done (for clothes or what ever) they always told me to suck in while measuring my waist.

I think the bicep speaks for itself. The thigh I measure at its largest part (up high).

I hope this helps.

And on my goals, I didn't do 20 minutes on the crosstrainer...I did however go shopping for about an hour (walking to store and back) in highheels. Plus I carried a 15 pound bag of catlitter all the way home (about a mile i'm guessing. :)

I didn't eat any cookie dough last night!  Yaayyy for me! :)

I am so excited today. I met both of my goals yesterday-- calories and getting to the gym.  AND when I weighed this morning, I weighed 1.2 pounds less (230.8) than the weight I posted (232) (the weight I posted yesterday was from last Friday).  YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!  I can't wait to see 229!

When I measure myself, I really don't worry about if I'm doing it "right" or not.  I just try to make sure that I measure in the same spot everytime.  I just get too frustrated trying to tell if I'm holding the tape right or in the right spot.  So I just know the "place" that I measure, and do it that way. :)

So I'm sad to say that I did not get my walk run in yesterday and most likely today....blah! It was raining all day yesterday and pouring today! And I am working 13 hour days so that causes some issues with time. But I will try to get it in tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a good day!!

Well I feel good today! I weighed myself this morning and I was down to 164.5 from 167 a couple days ago (for several days in a row)! Yay! I think I might make my mini goal of 159 by September 5th after all!

Nicely done niki!!Cool

Wow, I'm so glad to see everyone pumped up already.  That is SO great!  Way to go everyone! :)

Can I still join this?  I posted on Wednesday so I assumed...but maybe not?

Either way, good job everyone!  Also, I dont know why I put "plain food" because I am realizing everything I am eating is delicious.  I feel better not eating junk.  Other food makes me feel bad afterwards!  This makes me feel really good that I am getting my healthy amount - not too much and not too little - of what my body needs.

My only complaint is that my butt hurts from cycling.  haha.  I sucked it up this morning and did it anyway (after even trying to put a pillow on the seat to no avail!).  My butt will get used to it soon.

I wish you all pain-free butts and health living.

I finished dinner at 8:20 and I'm below my limit for the day! Yay!
I came across something that I wanted to share... it made sense to me, and I'm really glad I started using my kitchen table for meals again instead of as a TV stand.

From a discussion on message board by someone called FreeAtLast:

"...My one huge tip for everyone is ALWAYS EAT AT YOUR TABLE. The worst thing that I used to do that some of you might do is eating in front of the tv, or eating while I studied, or eating while I was at the computer. Take your meal time and your food, savour it and enjoy it and don't come back to the table until your next scheduled meal. You can eat mindless calories if you try to do two things at once. Give it a try to train yourself for a few weeks, even a week to stick to the kitchen or dining table. The only thing I ever leave the kitchen with is a glass of water..."

Sure you can join!!!! I know what you mean about your butt after cycling

Hey, how are you guys doing? Everyone has been so quiet. My scale has gone down every day this week, I'm getting excited. I got a reading of 163.5 this morning! That's 3.5lbs less than last Saturday! That's less than I was at then I stopped counting a couple months ago. I can't believe it's come off so quickly. I've never been able to even lose 2lbs a week on a 1200 cal diet. My dear friend and I have started walking several times a week, and I've forced myself to do some hard workout videos (however crappily I accomplished them) this week. I've been drinking water like a fish, too.

I hope you guys are doing well! When is our designated weigh-in and measurement day?

I'll give a little mini-update. Some how between last wednesday and now my scale has broke. I stepped on it this moring and it said 150...I know 30 pounds in 1 night is not possible so I turned it over and poked the weight thingies...(they poke out) then put it back down and tried adain this time it showing 205...by this time I was laughing. After more poking I think I got it somewhat normal. It settled between 183 and 184 so I am right on track.

Still haven't worked on the crosstrainer but I have been walking outside (Great walking weather).

I went overboard on the peanut butter last night but still stayed below my burnmeter.

How us everyone else doing?
