GO GET THEM TIGERS!!
I had a hard day I went to a baby shower and helped set up and clean up. I was there for about 5 hours I was starving and the food and cake looked so good but I eat before I got there and I didn't cheat!!! I am so excited I have never had that much will power EVER! I am hoping I will be able to stay strong. I want to get out of the 180's. Thanks for listening. We are all doing so good EVERYONE is dropping so fast. Please any tips share them with me.
Thanks enjoy the weekend
Lisa
congratulations on overcoming temptation like that! I went out for Vietnamese tonight with the husband and kids AND made cookies today and managed to stay in my goal range. I went a little over 1200 but that's fine with me, I was still under 1300.
Dinner was soo good, and not too bad calorie wise. I had this chicken that was maranated and then fried (I think) without breading and it was SO good. My kids ate half of it off my plate, and it just came with a pile of white steamed rice and come slices of cucumber, and the fish sauce to dip it in (I LOVE fish sauce!) It was called Chicken in 5 spices, lol. We got an order of shrimp and chicken "egg rolls" which were more like spring rolls since they were small and wrapped in rice paper. They are divine. I only got 1 though since the family also quickly gobbled them up. I can't wait to eat there again. Cheap and relatively healthy stuff.
I felt like I ate a ton but I really didn't, now that I think about it. Happy happy happy!
I wanted to walk tonight but we got a summer thunder storm so no dice.
Looking forward to another day dedicated to meeting my goals!
Mini-update for the day -
I woke up feeling very bloated and just feeling blah. I still kicked my self in to motion and took a walk to my mothers and then the store. When I got home I finally did 20 minutes on the crosstrainer (burning 352 calories).
My reward will be a 25 calorie popsickle.
*Edit - I am ready to throw my scale aginst the f-ing wall. In one room it is saying 178 (close) and in another 204. I am comfussed. I am going to go get a new one tomorrow if I can get my boyfriend out to buy it. He was like "We don't need one!" I'm like "Yes we do!" this went on for a while and he finally asked why. So we will see. I am just worried that it has been broke for a while and what if I really am 204 again (dunno how) but yeah. (just a little rant)
Thanks nikkidust~ Congrats on staying in range even though making cookies wow that is self control.
ohbehave007~ I would go crazy without my scale I am addicted to weighing myself 3 times a day and I wish I could stop. I get so frustrated with the darn thing. I keep gaining and loosing the same 2lbs. I want to scream! My husband tells me he is going to throw the scale away so I don't think about but he really knows better I would freak without it.
Blah...I just am having troubles getting in the grove. I have been walking my puppy every day, and sometimes twice. But I really am not feeling the motivation to run, which is what I need to do to really drop the weight. I think I will get it in today, and get my start off right. As for eating, I have been watching what I consume, so we will see on Wed what happened. I rarely weigh myself, so I will only check about once to twice a week....I probably should check more often, haha!
Talk to you all soon, Have a great day ladies.
Happy Monday to everyone!
Well, I did not have the best weekend food wise, but I'm staying OFF the scale until our weigh-in on Wednesday, and I'm expecting to see some loss. I'm going to be extra good today and tomorrow and hit the gym for at least an hour both days.
We can all do this!!
We ARE going to reach our goals!
We ARE going to be healthy and happy with our bodies!!
Let's keep it up!
It's monday...yay.
I got a new scale, it is called the dieting scale...very interesting. It tracks your weight and will show how much you gained/lossed since the last weigh in.
I wieghed my self and it says i am 190, i can believe that since I haven't doodled in a while, but I got some yoghurt so that should change.
It is just so hot here, I am already sweating and all I did was walk around town shopping. I dunno if I will work out so day because of the fact it is so darn hot. I will try to get my 20 minutes of crosstrainer in.
Have a happy monday everone.
Hi Ladies-- Way to go on the losses so far! I was not very well behaved this weekend. Lots of splurging and entertaining some friends from out of town. I'm getting back on track today, though. :) Just gotta' stay positive and remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint!
Speaking of running.. I fell walking home from a Comedy Show Friday night and severely sprained my left foot. I didn't even know that you could do that! So there is no exercise this week and then I have to wrap it to do anything after this week. We'll see how it goes. I am just going to eat very cleanly so that I will seem some sort of loss. :)
Tommorrow is weigh in day...
Keep the will power up tonight, and walk an extra mile or so!! :)
gnite!
Happy Humpday everyone.

*Edit - Measurements next week :D
Today's Motivation: The sunny day out side.
Plan: To get some kind of movement in today, walking or crosstrainer. Also to go to the farmers market and stock up on veggies and fruit.
Weigh in Day!!
Starting weight: 190
Weigh in 7/30/08: 188
Loss of 2lbs. Which, I wish was more, but I'm glad there is some! Hope everyone else had sucess!
Hello ladies-- I didn't way in today b/c I am retaining water and the wrap/cast thingie on my foot weighs a ton. So I'm going to hold off weighing in to avoid the negative emotions assocaited with not seeing a loss. But wanted to let you guys know that I didn't forget!
My goal for today is to get my upper body weights done. Since I can't walk or job or do legs, I'm just going to focus on my core and upper body until I am free to hit the elliptical again!
Kambimarie-- great job on the 2 pounds!
Good luck to everyone else as well!
Week 1 weight: 167 (BMI 28.7 "moderately over-weight")
Week 2 weight: 163 (BMI 28.0 "moderately over-weight")
Mini Goal: 159 (27.3 BMI "slightly over-weight"!) by 9/5/08
Final Goal: 131 (BMI 22.5 "healthy weight")
Apparently 145 is my highest weight in the "healthy" BMI range (BMI 24.9). That's what I weighed before I got pregnant with my first child, but I was 130ish when I met my husband and about 135 when I got married. I felt great at that weight and that's what I want to get back to. I know it's a long long road, as it gets harder the closer you get to your goal but that's ok.
The hard part about staying motivated is that we're thinking about trying for another baby in a year. While I know it's better to start out at a healthy weight, I dread working so hard to just get fat again. Though, I don't think I'll get as fat now that I know so much about nutrition. Maybe next time I can have a fit pregnancy... get regular exercise and eat healthy. Oh the hormones though... they scream "chocolate cake! Peanutbutter! Ice cream! Pizza!". Ugh... well we haven't made up our minds yet. We shall see. Our kids are getting older... they're 4 and 5 now, so would be nearly 6 and 7 when the new baby was born.
Today's Motivation: It's raining! Yay! only 75 degrees!
Plan: Get some exercise!
I got a new exercise video last night. It came with a pedometer which doesn't seem to work. I'm kind of irritated about that. The workout is good, though, I tried it last night. It's Leslie Sansone... some 4 mile walk fit thing. I did 4 miles in about 50 minutes with intervals in the middle... whew... it was a really good level for me. I was pushed hard but not so hard I felt like I couldn't make it. It's like walking 4mph for 50 minutes so like 300 calories burned, about.
I went over my calories a little yesterday so I was motivated to work out hard last night. I worked out too late at night though and had trouble sleeping.
Time for a mini update.
My hot water boiler is broken so I have been suffering cold showers for a week, so all that dancing around the coldness must be doing something. I feel good and have seen a steady decrease in weight.
I haven't gotten on the crosstrainer because it has been too hot. I have been out walking. I try and wear highheels just because they make my legs feel and look great :D and burns slightly more calories.
I have stayed within my 1450 calorie limit (except wednesday it was 1550). I have been trying new recipes for all the fresh veggies I bought lost wednesday. Right now I am making baked tofu marienated (sp?) in soysauce and rosemary. It smells onbelievable. I also find that I get hungry right before bed and bell pepper sticks and garlic sauce make a great midnight snack.
I also found a recipe for curry rice that is really nice. Just need to remember not to buy my chilipowder at the asian store because it is hotter then normal ;).
I am tired of this heatwave that has come accross. It did storm last night which made it nice and cool this morning and early afternoon, but now it is hot again and it is almost 9:30 pm. Oh the summer!
School will be starting soon, which is exciting and a little overwhelming for me. My oldest child just turned 5 and we will be homeschooling next year. I've been so busy this summer that I have put school on the back burner. It's crunch time now! I need to re-collect my thoughts and materials and get figure out a game plan. Thankfully it's only Kindergarten and Jace already knows a lot of what he is supposed to learn this year.
Organization is the name of the game for me this month. I have spring cleaning and summer/fall organization. Or maybe it's just that my spring cleaning lasts 3 seasons? lol.
Anyone else looking forward to fall this year? I LOVE fall. Corn and pumpkins and crows and apples, and crisp air with the hint of fireplace smoke and damp, fallen leaves. *ahhhh* I spend all summer pining for fall.
Sorry I forgot to post my weight
start weight 186
current weight 183
small change but I will take it!
I forgot to weigh my self and to post on Wednesday (my friend was in town for the week), So I decided to do it today, sorry for the delay. I am not surprised I am only down a bit, since I have not really been so strict on myself.
