I am curious if I am being too agressive...I have lost nearly 7 lbs in week...(200 lbs.  to 193.2)    I am by noooo means complaining ...excited in fact, and I know I just started seriously trying to lose...So is this the honeymoon period or am I trying too hard? sounds rediculous when I type it out...I want to keep the weight I lost off...not gain it back once I hit maintance (a long time from now)

That's great just make sure you keep off. Enjoy it while it last.  I'm at a stand still mines act like it don't want to come off lately.  I don't know maybe I'm working out too much and not eating enough hmmmmmmm :(

sexycoolaries - are you doing more cardio than strength training?  try increasing the strength training.  muscles tend to burn more calories even if you don't do anything.  :)

 

 

 

 I do cardio and strength training in all my work out sessions. So pretty much I work out like 10 times a week an hour for each session sometimes 14 times a week.  Maybe I'm working out too much or not eating enough....

Good morning all!  Steady is the word for me this week, down another 1.5 pounds to 189.0.  I'm running a half marathon this weekend, but I'm not "racing" exactly.... I just signed up as motivation to get me out there running to get ready for it.  I think it'll be okay if not exactly fast.

wow dz44, a half a marathon would be awesome to do!!  my legs aren't there yet to be able to handle that kinda mileage.  altho I'm in a pool with my family and friends to run/ walk.  none of us are marathoners or half marathoners.  we all just wana be more active.  the person with the most miles wins like $300.  money... what a motivator!!  :P  maybe one day I will attempt the half marathon.

anywho, sexycoolaries. it does sound like you are doing the right things.  I'm not sure what else it could be.  maybe you are right about not eating enough.  the body will store everything it gets if it's not getting enough. *shrugs*  I'd say up the food more than work out less.    

and sgbear98, if you are losing it healthily and keeping it off, then I wouldn't worry about the amount you have loss being too much.  congrats on the loss for sure!!  :)

Being more active is what it's all about, plus jogging burns a ton of calories.  A couple years ago when I started my weight loss I shuffled along at 17:00 per mile.  A year ago I was down to "only" 13:00 per mile, and now on a 5 mile run I'm at about 10:00 per mile (probably more like 10:30 for the half marathon).  Not very impressive athletically but I never thought I'd run a ten minute mile!

Good work being down a pound and keep it up for next week!

Morning girls 161.5 for me today - makes it a total of 23.5lbs lost so far... feeling good (except my clothes are all too big for me now lol)

Well my weight loss buddies I lost a pound.

Yet another week has gone by already!  I ran a lot including the half marathon which I finished in 2:17 (about what I expected).  Down 2 lbs to 187.0 for this week.  Only 4.0 pounds left on my 30.

Good job sexycoolaries and niccimax and everybody else, hope this week was good for you!

two pounds down.  I've been trying to get 25 miles total in the week and keep my calorie deficit between 500- 900.  I never really thought this would actually work for me but it seems to be working. =)

niccimax, clothes too big is a good thing!

sexycoolaries, did you figure out what was causing you to plateau for a little bit?  maybe it was an off week before but congrats on another pound loss!! =)

dz, that's a great achievement both losing 26lbs and completing your half marathon!  I had a tough time getting through my first 10k a month ago so mannn another 10k on top of that would be crazy for me.  I'm averaging about 10.5 minute miles.  been trying to build myself up to conistently doing 6 miles without any problems.

haha this is the only time a loss is good.  good luck everyone!  keep it going strong for next week!

Checking in a day early this week because I'm going out of town again on business (which will probably wreck next week but oh well!)

Down 1.5 lbs to 185.5.

 

159.5 today ....... aaahh the 50's lol

No weight loss so far this week.

it's been a hard week.  haven't done anything cuz my shoulder was killing me.  went to chiropractor monday who temporarily fixed it. definitely feels better.

SW: 145, CW: 139, GW: 115.  could be fluctuation of water but I'll take it for now.
