This is for anyone who needs to lose around 30 pounds.

I started about two weeks ago, but only joined this site today.

Start weight:  155
Current Weight:  148.6
Goal Weight:  120-125 lbs

What I've done:  excercise (cycling, swimming, running)

What I've eaten:  lots of salad, veggies, meats, limited starches (usually only one meal a day), yogurt for breakfast everyday

What I've drank:  water and only water (I have always hated water, so in truth this is what I am most proud of )

Why I am doing it:  to be healthy and because I am getting married in February and want to look nice

Goal weight 140 ( so about forty pounds Im looking to lose)

What Ive done: Im powerwalking daily at least a mile a day. I have a exercise bike i use at least twice a week. I do situps once a week.

What I eat: Salads, yogart, 100 calorie snacks ( in limitation), soups, fish , fruit, and veggies

What I drank: Only water

Why I am doing it: Health and I want to return to my previous weight before I had my fibriod.
I weigh 165 (yesterday it was 162) and my goal is 130.  So I have around 35 pounds to lose.

I started at 210 and have lost almost 50 pounds.  While that is exciting, I still have yet to lose 50!  I want to lose these 35 pounds by my birthday (november 8th).  It looks like i'm going to be close to my goal by my birthday.  I want to be right on it.

I eat a lot of vegetables, drink lots of water, and exercise about 4 days a week. 

I'm in plateau land and I can't get out! 
That is really awesome.  I am sure you will be able to do it.  I've only just started so my motivation is still high and I am hoping it stays that way.

Did you ever feel like you wanted to quit? If so what did you do?

What I've done: Calorie counting, light exercise (walking, running)

What I've eaten: Everything, just in moderation. I've been eating a lot more salads than I used to, though ? but I'm also cooking a lot less and relying on pre-packaged food with the calorie information readily available.

What I've drank: Diet Pepsi (it's my crack), water (much more than I did before) ? and, of course, wine and beer on the weekends.

Why I am doing it: To be healthier, more attractive, etc... all the normal reasons.

Goal Weight:  105 lbs

What I've done:  stopped eating like my husband and started walking

What I've eaten:  lots of different stuff. I've become addicted to looking up recipes and trying to learn to cook.

What I've drank:  water and more water and diet coke for treats


Why I am doing it:  Going to the Bahamas for family reunion the beginning of next year followed by a trip to Hawaii and to be healthy and stuff

What I've done: started exercising and tracking food  I do POWER 90, completed actually now I am doing the master's series.

What I've eaten: CLEAN unprossessed foods, nothing else worked.  Macros have to be right too, planned cheat days are essential.

What I've drank: Tea, Crystal Light

Why I am doing it: My health, and my own personal vanity.  My cholesterol last year clocked in at 225.  Not good for a 27 year old.  And I want to be happy with my body for once in my life. 
Hi ozmagirl I think we are pretty close to being cc twins, not sure how old or tall you are, but our start weight and goal are the same.  I also started 2 weeks ago, what is your goal date?

Start weight: 155

Current weight:  150 (this weekend got on scale and was 148...water weight I guess)

Goal weight: 120 -125

I have been counting my calories during the day and saving the most calories for dinner and use portion control. I drink lots of water!!!

I run 2 miles 4x's a week

I am actually 22 and 5'3".  I am hoping to reach my goal by mid September.  My projected date on the site says November 27th, but I am going to try my hardest to make it by September instead.

What about you?  When do you want to lose it by?

I had my weight spike up this morning by half a pound and I almost let myself get upset over it (I know it sounds dumb!)  but then I realized that that is probably going to happen a lot through the process, it is just that I am noticing now since I finally replaced my scale and have been weighing myself regularly.
I'm 138 (140 on a bad day).

Just started CC & hoping to get down to 115 lbs. Therefore, I need to lose about 25 lbs to get there. My goal date is: October 25... or somewhere around there. LOL.
Reason: Want to be healthy, Sister's Wedding in March and I'm her maid of honor!, Want to look good for next years school year &want to be able to wear a bikini next summer!

Well we are the same height, and I just turned 28!! 

I want to be realistic on this goal so I say by the end of the year....BUT my husband and I are going on cruise to the Bahamas in Aug and I wish I could atleast get to 130 or 135 by then, but I don't know if that's possible healthly.  That would be 15-20 lbs to lose in 2 months. 

Also I know how you feel about the scale thing, at this point I wish I could throw mine away lol, because I am constintly weighing myself and it's driving me nuts!!  I want to try to weigh myself once a week, I think that will be more practical, so that I can see more of a consistent change unlike when I get on it all times of the day and my weight is fluctuating so much.  But before I bought the scale I had no clue of what I weighed so I guess that's how I got to 155 so atleast now it's a reality check.

Why I am doing it: to feel and look better.  just moved to the city and can't wait to go shopping for new (and smaller) clothes!

What I've drank:  water today. Its too hot around here to drink anything else.

Why I am doing it: I'm sick of being the short, chubby girl, of feeling uncomfortable, and wondering if my boyfriend is daydreaming of someone else... =[

Yesterday I had a meeting with my wedding planner and tried to crunch in at least 15 minutes of swim time before I had to go.  (I didn't get back home until 10pm) 

I really hate it when I am so motivated to exercise, but there is just literally little to no time to get it done. 

Today I have a 2hr painting class, but I am going to try to exercise just before it.  Hopefully I can do this!!!!!!!

I was thinking we could all give weekly updates on how were doing with our weight?  I'll probably update daily, and you are all welcome to as well, but seeing our progress might be encouraging for anyone feeling stuck.

What I've done: Walk briskly/run on treadmill for a mile a night

What I've eaten: I've tried to stay between 1200-1350 calories a day/

What I've drank: Water. I drink about 6-8 bottles a day during work, and more at home

Why I'm doing it: I want to be more confident with myself around my boyfriend and people in general and I want to be healthier in the long run.
i'd like to get in on this, there's a couple of you who are real similar so maybe that'll help.

i'm 21 yrs old, started at the beginning of june at 155 now I"m at 148 and I hope to be at 115-120 by about august.  No real specific reason, just thought that would be a good time.  I've got a short term goal of 130 by the middle of july, me and my friends are going to vegas for a 21st birthday celebration and they're all tiny, so i've got to get down a little to feel ok at the pool...hehe.

anyway been eating a lot less processed food and totally cut out fast food...but my weakness is the alcohol, i count it in my daily intake but then i don't get to eat as much, plus i succumb to those drunken munchies way too often.

anyway looking forward to getting down a couple of sizes and talking more to some of ya'll.
Hi tabathar, we are also about the same I started at 155, except I'm at 150 right now and pushing for 148 lol!  My mini goal is 135 by August, my husband and I are going on a cruise to the Bahamas and I want to look sexy in my skin not hide it :)

Same here! I'm 22 I started at 155 and am as of today 146.6 (which I was so excited about this morning).  I want to get to 120-125  by September.  I'm getting married in February but I have to get fitted in September.  So I am working hard.

Advice on the alcohol/ alcohol munchies....I had the same problem except with all other types of drinks.

I have never liked water and wouldn't drink it at all.  BUT, for the last three weeks, I haven't allowed myself to have anything but water throughout the day and with my meals. 

I've got to say that it makes a HUGE difference.  Average coke is about 150 calories for 1 glass.  Times that by 2 (lunch and dinner), that is an extra 300 calories I could be spending elsewhere or not spending at all.

Also drinking that diet stuff that has Aspartame in it actually makes you hungrier because it contains an amino acid associated with hunger. 

So I decided the only safe route was water.

I'm not a big calorie counter, but sometimes it is those little things that tend to add up big time. 

I would say maybe limit it to once a week?  I usually let myself slide with food one day on the weekend, so this would sort of be the same kind of thing.

Hi All,  I would love to join you all.  I do feel like the old lady here though.  I'm 30,  LOL! 

I started at 168.5, currently at 163.5.  Goal weight is 131.  I'm doing this b/c I'm tired of carrying around all this extra weight.  I have two young girls to chase around and the extra 30 pounds is slowing me down!  I would love to be around 145 by the end of Sept.  We are going to Walt Disney World for the first time. 

I have been eating 1200-1500 calories per day.  I have been horrible about working out.  Thinking about getting the slim in 6 dvds.
