Quote  |  Reply

I just saw an add of this guy James Zeta, and Apparently he has an ebook or something about how to lose 18 pounds in 4 days!!! Is this insane or ingenius?

I would like to know. I am VERY skeptical about things like this.

What do you guys think?

If its safe and true sign me the heck up!

But I would really like to know if anyone has ACTUALLY tried this too, so I know what it was like....

thanks :)

If it's true, it's not safe, and it's probably not true either.

The only way to lose weight is to eat less and/or exercise more.

And any weight loss (or gain) over 2-3 lbs a week is water weight.

When will the world get this through its skull?

Tell that to a plastic surgeon, udokier.

To support udokier...

If the man had the secret to lose 18 pounds of fat in 4 days, he would either be a billionaire almost overnight, OR he would be in jail for causing untold amounts of people to diet their lives away in such an unhealthy manner.

What feanor said.  That and we'd all be skinny and not in debt.
Ah, to live in a perfect world ... My guess is that even if you could successfully lose 18 lbs in 4 days, it would be on a regimen that would be very difficult to make a lifestyle out of (not to mention dangerous), and it would not be "true weight."  So, if you want to lose 18 lbs for a class reunion, and put it all back on, maybe plus some, the next week, then go for it.  But if you want to lose 18 lbs and keep them off, then it's best to lose them at a slower rate.

Touché, cellulitedelight, but that's not really "losing weight" that's having it removed.  It blows my mind that people go in for lipo.  Having seen it done on TV, it would scare the dickens out of me.  I'd much rather have a little flab than have that thing suck in me. (not to mention the significant risks of infection and necrosis EW...)

Re: lipo

Did you  know they can inject the fat they suck out of your ass into your lips? (for fuller lips, instead of getting collagen).

That way when you tell someone to "kiss my ass", they could actually do it.

A quick repost of a reply I made a while back on another liposuction thread.  That one was to a teenager who was asking about it, but even for adults ... bleah!!!The popularity of this procedure amazes me, too, udokier.  Gives me the shudders just thinking about it.

Watch some lipo procedures on the Discovery channel and I'll bet you won't want it even when you're an adult.  I worked in a hospital a while back and one of the girls I worked with had it on her butt, thighs, and upper arms.  Of course, at work, we couldn't see her butt or thighs, but when the pressure bandages came off her upper arms, she had a strip of hard tissue on the underside of each arm, about 3/4 of an inch wide and about 3 inches long.  This was subcutaneious scar tissue from where the cannula went in and out.  It made her arm hard to the touch right there, like touching a piece of molded plastic.  That immediately cured ANY desire I might have ever had to get lipo.   Even better ... Google some lipo that didn't go right.  It is horrific, truly.

On the topic of the OP, now ... that claim is sooo beyond even the water-weight loss that most people get when they start a "diet" or change to a healthier eating lifestyle.  Whaddaya wanna bet this "plan" also involves so-called "cleansing" via excessive enemas, or fasting, or some other such craziness??  Udokier is right ... the methods this site supports are medically and scientifically proven.  What I've been doing since joining cc is the only thing that has shown me any results in 10 years.  And I've tried it all, short of surgical intervention.

If it were that easy, none of us would be here.
The really bad thing is that the ad for James Zeta's lose 18 lbs. in 4 days thing runs as a banner at the bottom of the occasional CC page...I just saw it as I read another post.

Yep I saw it too, someone should look into how to block it as a banner here.

That's why I brought it up in the first place... cuz it was on CC!!! I was like... hmmm.... but I think you guys are totally right.... just lame-o garbage

I can lose 185 lbs in just 12 minutes....

.... because i'm an astronot. ;-) (get it?) Seriously though... it's a scam.

you could do it if you got your arm chopped off maybe

Having done it...yes, you lose alot of weight quickly.

Yes, less than a week after, all the weight comes off.

No, I did not lose 18lbs, I think I lost 9, and when I went to get my money back he said "Oh you may have to do it SEVERAL times."

BTW the diet consists of celery, tomatoes, plain ground beef, weird combos, no salt or sugar etc.  Mostly it's water weight.

In the end I contacted PayPal and filed a complaint.

If there is a money back guarentee I've probably done every diet out there lol.  Fortunately I've gotten my money back on most of them.  I KNOW they won't work, but I'm always curious to see WTF they are all about, ya know?
