I am new to this. This is day #1 for me..

I'm tired of the extra baggage my back hurts. I'm tired of others telling me I am not fat..

I am tired of my clothes not fitting me..

I'm tired of starting tomorrow..  

I don't want to be skinny just want to keep up with the little ones without being tired ..

I am a mommy of two girls under the age of two!!

I am looking for any friends that will help me in this battle!!!!

Hi! I'm also trying to lose about 40 pounds as well as some other similar goals to yourself. Good luck! I hope we can both get through this ;)
I plan to lose at least 30 pounds more (maybe 36), 9 pound increments at a time! I've lost 20 already, so it does happen!

Hey there!  Just stick to the logging food and working out.  It will happen I promise!  I had 40 to lose, I've lost 14 of that.  Started the last week of Sept.  I've spent almost my whole 30's getting pregnant, being pregnant or just FEELING pregnant.  I turn 38 this March and I refuse to head into my forties fat frumpy and unhappy!  It's time for me!   It's even more important for you, two girls under the age of 2 is HARD and not getting enough sleep will also mess with your metabolism.  Making time for you is important!  Good luck!  Cool

Well it looks as if 2008 is going to be good to us. My name is paige and i'm a mother of 2 beautiful girls that are now 5 and 7 yrs old. I'm celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary in February and we are taking a cruise in April. I'm 5'6 198 which puts me at a size 14. I started walking a mile Jan2nd and am now doing that everyday. I'm working on adding push ups, and crunches. I want to lose about 40-45pounds so please help to keep me motivated and I will help you also.

Hiya Paige I just started walking a couple of miles a day today. I found the best way for me to do it was to walk the long way home from taking my youngest to school so i dont get chance to sit down and get comfy, I do the same on the way to pick him up from school too, Added you as a friend and will try help keep you motivated.

I had 62lbs to lose last January.  I managed to lose 42lbs by August.

Unfortunately, I got cocky and decided I could wing it ...... and packed on 20lbs from Oct to now.

so now, I have 42lbs to reach my goal of 150lbs!

2 girls here, ages 6 and 8 - sounds like we are starting out pretty much the same

 

BTW you don't look fat at all (honestly!!!)  I tell myself I just have "neat fat" -- it's that nagging roll around the middle that's ticking me off now!

I'm the mother of two boys ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2.  I haven't made much of an effort to lose the weight after #2 until now.  The weight came off pretty easily with #1, but then again I was going to the gym regularly after him, and now, not so much.  CC has been great to watch my food intake and helps me choose healthier foods.  Next step - work in work outs.  I've started walking at lunch (in the unseasonably warm weather - we'll see how long that lasts) and I've decided to only take the stairs at work - I work on the 9th floor, hopefully that will help.  My goal is to lose 40 lbs and get myself out of the "sedentary lifestyle" category.  I'm also not too worried about how long it takes, but would like it to be by summer.  Last summer's beach trip was pretty humiliating and family kindly captured it on film - ugh!  Sounds like we're all in the same boat - what a great thread!  Keep up the good work and supportive posts.

Well the cold I thought I had got rid of has reappeared and I just have no energy at all, hopefully it wont last long as I want to keep up with my walking but just cant face it at the moment. Maybe by lunchtime I'll feel up to it really dont want to start missing days out already.

Hey all Im in the same boat as many of you. I have a 2 yr and a 4 yr old. And now have 40ish lbs to lose. I was doing realkly well over the summer walking and stuff and lost about 20lbs. But lost ALL motivation. I'm also going to be 30 this year and am having a career what am I going to do with my life crisis thats not helping in the motivation. I'm tagging this thread so I can  use it for motevation! Cheers!

Hello all.......I am also looking to lose between 35-40 lbs in this year.  I am a mom of 2 boys, 10 and 6.  I am tired of using my pregnancies as excuses for my weight.  Obviously it has been a while since I was pregnant Smile 

 Foxymama...you and I are in the same boat.  I did so well over the summer into fall then lost all motivation and gained 7 pounds. 

Stats are:

CW 179

GW 140-145

Height 5'9"

Let's keep each other motivated for our weight loss and hopefully soon we will be the "30 Pounds to Lose" thread! 

 

Hi 2gtboys I've been using the pregnancy weight excuse too but my youngests 9 Embarassed     so realised it was time I faced facts and admitted it wasnt that anymore lol

Thanks Paige I am feeling a bit better today thanks so i'm going to walk the long way home again today, see how i go on that before i decide if i'm going to do it again this afternoon.

The weather is meant to be better here at the weekend too so we're hopefully going to have a family walk along the riverside tomorrow, which means i'll be able to fit a longer walk in, maybe wont be walking as quick as I do on my own but it all counts. Also it means I can get my partner out of the house as it wouldn't hurt him to lose a few pounds lol

I just started on this site, but back in September I was 205lbs. I got gallstones and my doc said I had to completely change my lifestyle and eating habits, and that I needed to lose major pounds. So, I started cutting back on portions and cutting out as much fat as possible and so far I've lost 28lbs. I'm also the mother of a 6 month old baby girl, and I know it makes things tough, so just hang in there!

 

Man Texas weather could not be more unpredictable. I've lived here all my life and you still get surprised because one day its hot and the next its freezing! I walked the stairs here at work for 5 minutes and made it from floor 1-5 up and down 3 times. I'm blessed to work for a pretty relaxed company and they let us do what we want as long as we get our work done.

 So I've decided I'm going to be working the stairs and then maybe walking around our buildings for more exercise. I missed my walk lastnight but today I will get going. Everyone have a great day. TGIF

Well if your weathers like that i'll quit moaning now and just be grateful that ours is always so predictably rubbish lol

and hey well done on fitting the stairs into your fitness plan thats a great idea, I've decided to get generally more active round the house like running up the stairs instead of walking and you should see my dancing while ironing doing dishes and even vacuuming its great kids think i've gone madSmile

Dancing while ironing and doing dishes:) Man I can see it now....Do you go grab a hairbrush and pretend you are singing.lol That would so be me! My girls think I'm a nut as well. Lastnight before heading to bed both my girls are now cheerleaders and we had to decorate 5 gallon buckets for the squad so their stepmom and myself were up late working on those. She has actually been my walking partner and its so good for the kids to see that we can get along. It makes their life so much easier.

I haven't made it to my stairs yet. I'm dreading it this morning so give me a pushFoot in mouth
