hi everyone I need to lose about 50 or more pounds I want to try to get to 150 by september.2008 I am a mother of 2 kids and married 12 years  currently I am jobless. so i have alot of free time on my hands. so i decided to make a healthyer life style change and become a healthyier person. I am doing calorie restriction and so far have lost 6.8 pounds I try to eat between 1200 -1500 calories a day im looking for weight loss friends so we can help support one another  huggs karen

High Five on your decision to become healthier!!!  Your mind and body will love you for it. Calorie restriction is a fantastic way to lose weight...have you started any exercising programs?  There's some really great recipes and other forum messages on exercises if you're looking for some ideas.  I've been on this site just over a week..I started an exercise program at Bally's through the Discovery Health Network..I've lost 7lbs so far!!  It was actually easy.

Hello everyone! I am new to the site and need to lose 40-50 lbs.  I am 4'11" and 39 years old.  I have lost 2.5 lbs so far.  I am counting calories but need to get on the ball with exercise. I play indoor soccer once a week.  I just can't get into a routine. Any suggestions on getting started? laf08

I too just joined this site last week. So far 6 lbs lost. I am also looking for friends to help suppot me in my weight loss goals. Together we can kick eachothers butts into shape. LOL

I just found this website this morning and am hoping it will help me stick to a diet I started exactly a week ago. My goal is to lose 50lbs and the 139 in my screen name is my goal weight. I've lost 6 lbs this first week and hope to lose 2 lbs a week on average. I'm 52 years old and my hobbies are photography and nature watching/learning (wildflowers, birds & anything nature)

I hope I can encourage some of you as you encourage me.

I think I just messed up not use to this site yet but anyway.I am new here too just found this site a few days ago.I am 50yrs old I want to lose 60 lbs I lost 30lbs on Atkins but gained it all back when I lost my brother to cancer.I got very depressed and didn,t care about myself or anything .I have to lose this fat .I have been watching what I eat and counting calories and drinking 8 glasses of water .I have lost 5lbs this week.It's not much but a start.I live in Alabama we haven,t had really cold weather so I walk everyday.I love to work outside in my yard with my flowers.I also work with my friend cleaning houses so there is a good workout too.It,s raining here today so I can,t walk .Hope all of you have a great day.

I am so glad to make a change for a healthy lifestyle. I just had a six month old baby and gained a lot of weight.  I just want to be in better shape and feel even better. I am also aiming at losing from 40 to 50 lbs. If you have heard of any tips let me know. Do you keep track of a log for your calorie intake? Well I have started taebo this month but I won't weigh myself again until the end of next month. I don't want to be weighing myself everyday or every week. Well I'll keep you posted on any changes or ideas.
