Lose 10-15 pounds by Jan. 14, 2008 *MOVING TO GAMES AND CHALLENGES*


Hi everyone,

In the past, challenges have helped me a lot on my weight loss journey.  I am about to be married very soon, and lately, my weight have staggered in the high 130's (138-139).  Since May of 2007, I've lost 40 pounds, give or take.  Don't get me wrong, I am extremely happy to be in the 130's -- this is my lowest as long as I can remember.  But I am very behind my weight-loss schedule.

I'm only 5'2'', and my ultimate goal is to be around 110-115 pounds.  I would like to be under 130 by Jan. 14th.  And I am desperate for your help and support.

So I would like to propose a challenge to lose anywhere between 10-15 pounds by mid-Jan.  I think this is doable -- since we have almost 2 months to do this. 

How about weigh-in's on Mondays?  Anyone care to join me?  We can do this!!!

I am totally up for the challenge because my sister's wedding is January 20...January 17 is when all the pictures and stuff are bound to start. 15 pounds by then...hell yes! I would love that.

I'm 5"4' and I'm 126 lbs. I want to be 11 7 ultimately. I know we&n bsp;can do this. I just&n bsp;wish 

I had some special event& nbsp;to look forward to l ike the sisters wedding o r something. haha,

I'm in...and actually me and the OP both are similar in height (I'm 4'10). I was 10 lbs away from my goal but then gained five due to a really bad two week binge and can't seem to shake them off, so I'm hoping to lose those five plus five more if possible. I'm 4'10", 119.4 lbs as of this morning, goal weight 100-105 depending on how I look and feel. I'm also trying to work out and be as healthy as possible in these six weeks until New Year's because I have an outfit I want to look hot in! We can do it!

I've never done this before, actually, and it sounds great because we can support each other!

So I'm 5'7.5" and a few years ago I weighed 140 and I felt perfect, so my goal is to get back to that.

Hi!

I'm new to this whole site- but very motivated!  I'm just started off last week at 5'6" and 162 pounds. I'm a 21 university student and was wondering if I could join too?  I need something like this to keep my motivation strong!  So I would absolutely love to be in the 140's!!!  Today (Monday) I weighed in at 159.8- so looks like I am doing something right :)  Thanks!

i'm also new and i am definitely on board for this losing weight by january.

i too am 5'2'' and i weigh 124.

my ideal weight is between 115 and 110, but i have always had trouble getting below the 121 mark, and with being so busy, its hard to stay motivated when i feel like i won't ever reach my goal of 115.

My motivation has been slipping and lately I have felt those last pounds I lost creeping back, so this should be perfect to get me back on track!

I'm 5'4" and around 143 pounds right now... so down to 134 I think sounds reasonable, considering it IS the holiday season!

I want in too if still available, I can really use some motivation and I think this can help. So far I'm so close to my goal of 110-115. I have been in workout mode lately and just need to get eating better again.

My Stats are:

Height: 4'11''

C W: 118.5

G W: 110-115

 I'm 5'2, and 6 months ago, I was 190 lbs. I am now 169-ish, but my weight loss plateaud... mostly because I keep sneaking beers/coolers in, and sometimes when my partner cooks, I end up eating with him.. pasta, rice, etc - not the foods that help me with weight loss!

 I really want to get down to 130 lbs eventualy and STAY there.

Wow guys, thanks so much for doing this with me...seeing all the replies just elevated my level of motivation to do this.  I will update weigh-in's for every week.  Maybe the easiest way is to copy all the dates I've listed in my above post and edit your post from week to week.

I am soo down for this.  Still new to this whole blog thing so help would be GREAT!

i am 5'7 and weigh 145 and still need to get down to 130.  I am planning on taking a MMA fight very soon and i have to get down to 130 so i don't have to be in the heavy weight class.   I have already lost 20 pounds in the last two years but this last 15 is kicking my butt.

 This is an awesome challenge, it will keep me focused throughout Christmas!

I'm 16, 5'8, eating ~1800 a day now, exercising everyday

SW - 170

CW - 140ish

GW for Jan - 125 (healthy due to my age - it would put me at 30%, anywhere between 15-70% is healthy)

FGW - 120lbs of toned, fit, beach worthiness!

Even though the group is technically closed, I guess it won't hurt adding another motivated team member.  Welcome and nice having you on board.

I'm testing my luck, but if you happen to have exact records of your weight for last Monday and today, that would be great.  I can add you to the list as soon as I get your info.
