Hi I'm a asian girl and soon turning 21 and I was wondering if it is possible to lose 20kg (44.09lb) in 4months? cause graduation is on the first friday on december so I want to lose as much as I can. I currently weigh 80kg (176.4lb). If possible what kinds of food should I be eating? please note I hate most veggies so to make up for it I put my veggies in a blender and drink it instead of chewing it.
Of course you can, particularly if you are young--say, under 40. Increase your physical activity/exercise, eg. a brisk 45-60 minute walk daily. Count you calories, aim for 1200-1500 per day. Keep blending those veggies and make them a major food choice. Eliminate foods that are bad for you--ice cream, cookies, candy, most pre-packaged "fast" foods. Balance carbs, proteins, fats--dont eliminate fats, but choose "good" ones--veg over animal. Good luck.
Hi, I have a similar target to you: 40ish lbs by the end of November, because we are going to the Carribean where I will not be able to avoid wearing a bikini...
I started my serious dieting this week and have cut out ALL unhealthy snacks (chips, chocolate, ice cream etc.) I am trying to have lots of small meals a day e.g. bowl of muesli, salad, piece of fruit, all about 100 cals each, 4 times a day, then a 500 cal dinner (trying to avoid carbs but I do love them!). I also drink green tea + lots of water - it's supposed to increase your metabolism and burn another 50+ cals a day.
I also do about 30 mins high impact cardio a day - probably burning around 200 cals
I lost 2 pounds this week so far... early days though!
18 weeks till the end of November, 2 pounds a week -> 36 pounds! :)
I'm new to dieting so no idea if it will work!
Yes, I believe you can. The only catch to that is you will have a harder time toward the end of your goal.
I, myself, am an asian girl. I started this in middle of June this year and lost 12 lbs so far. I lost an average 2 lbs a week. I still have about 38 lbs left to go.
Veggie is good for you but also add fruit in the mix. If you can up those to about 4 servings each, it will help you in the long run. I do cardio 4-5 times a week, minimum 45 min and some weights and abs crunch. Just make sure that you are eating enough as well, don't starve yourself, cause it won't work too well. I have been keeping my calorie intake to 1350-1500 a day and still lose weight.
Oh and measure yourself. Sometimes even though the scale does not seem to budge, your measurement is.
