Lose 20 lb. by September 15th

I'm 19 years old and just finished my freshman year of college. I'm 5'4 and 157 lb. My goal weight is 125 but for now I want to lose the first 20 lb. By September 15th I would like to lose the first 20 and then the other 12 lb. by December. I leave the first week of January for 7 months to go study abroad in Italy and visit my family in Croatia. We can weigh our selves every Monday and post our losses (hopefully).

Calories Needed for Goal Weight
You should consume about 1909 calories a day to reach your goal weight of 150 lbs by September 15, 2008.

Remember that this estimate is based on your body weight, height, age, gender, and activity level. It may vary slightly depending on other factors.

Generally, women should not consume any less than 1,200 calories per day, and men should not consume less than 1,500 calories per day.

I'm 5'9; 181 and 27. I'm not sure I really want 150.. but its close to the middle for healthy bmi. I remember being 145 and thinking I had a gut.. but 150 and tone (more upper body then previously) would be a happy place for me I think.

163.4 this morning.  I don't believe my original goal for the time period is possible anymore.  Things have slowed that much, but I can definately see meeting the 20 lb mark the forum set. That's a mere 2.4 lb away.   We're down to the last  3 weeks or so, so I've gotta kick things into overdrive :)

I weighed in at 195.6 today...I've made 20 pounds and then some!

113 lbs. for my weigh in today.

this last monday july 21 my weight was 197

and i would love to be 185 by september 15

september 6... 192 lbs
will not make it to 185 by sep 15, but even 192 sounds much better than 212 and is 20 lbs:-)
