Lose 20 lb. by September 15th

I'm 19 years old and just finished my freshman year of college. I'm 5'4 and 157 lb. My goal weight is 125 but for now I want to lose the first 20 lb. By September 15th I would like to lose the first 20 and then the other 12 lb. by December. I leave the first week of January for 7 months to go study abroad in Italy and visit my family in Croatia. We can weigh our selves every Monday and post our losses (hopefully).

Ok so I began this all with 162 lb. being the heaviest I've ever been. Started this thread at 157. My goal weight is 125 and my current weight is... 155 1/2. A pound and a half down this week :)

Well I weighed myself this mornin (now I understand my own scale) and it is now 176lbs :) So that is a 6lb weight loss this week. I hope it slows down tho or there'll be nop water left in my body!

I also measured again I am now 42-34-41.5-44.5

Congrats to all that have lost either weight or inches or both this week!  We can DO IT!!!

Last week I posted that I was 178 but I was actually 171.  This morning was 169!  That makes me happy. 

I've been keeping my calories between 1200-1300, doing pilates, step areobics at the gym and walking.  I am trying to pay attention to the Flat Belly Diet.  It incorporates avocado, olives, oil, nuts, seed or chocolate into every meal and you eat 4 times a day.  I've had to experiment a bit with my cooking and keeping the measuring cup handy but eventually I'll be able to eye-ball portions.

Well, I weighed myself this morning, and I'm still at 140! So no weight loss this last week, but no worries either. I will call last week my "adjustment week," and now it's time to kick this thing into high gear. I still feel a lot better from eating so much less dining hall junk. I've got two weeks left of school, so my goal is to finish the quarter strong (amidst finals and end of year celebrations) and immediately continue the good eating and exercise habits when I get home to avoid sinking into a lazy summer funk.

Currently, my measurements are 36-29-40; along with my goal of 20 lbs, I hope to be somewhere in the area of 36-26-36

Weighing in at 216.8...woo! Luckily the next 10 pounds should be a breeze, considering that I'm just starting to get active again, and my body is already responding well (and my smallest was about 10 pounds lower than now). Good luck everyone!

Monday June 2 weigh in. I am at 146.... still. The first 7 lbs came off relatively easy. I find myself forcing myself to eat because i need the calories. Any suggestions?

Measurements: 35-27-37

No loss for me this week, well at least I didn't gain! Hopefully this week will be better and the scales would go down by next Monday.

I'm feeling hungry (probably false hunger, had dinner a while ago) but ignoring the urge to eat, will go drink some herbal tea instead.
For anyone that didn't lose weight or inches last week, DON'T WORRY!  Sometimes, depending on what time of the month it is, our weight will be alittle off because of Aunt Flow!  (She's the devil!).  One habit I've gotten into is that I always have a water bottle with me.  Chug it down and refill it.  Water does amazing things, though I feel like I need a catheter sometimes!  It gets you moving too which means you aren't holding onto the extra (poop) weight and not getting bloated. 

The Flat Belly Diet is by Prevention Magazine.  I just read up on it.  It's new, the book will be out in the fall through Barnes and Noble and the likes or you can order online.  I haven't done that though.  It's mostly concerned about calorie intake and incorporating certain foods that natrually help "melt" belly fat that can be really unhealthy.  It's called visceral fat (spelling?).  I'm giving it a shot since I've tried every other diet known to woman.

So I think after 19 years, I've just realized that being a woman is the funniest thing. I finally got rid of my favorite time of the month so I weighed myself out of curiousity. And I weighed myself 5 times because I didn't believe it. I weighed 152.5 all 5 times. I than checked the other scale we have downstairs and it said 152.5 lb. Is it possible that I lost 3 lbs in a day? I guess it was all the bloatedness. Oh well I don't mind, I haven't seen 152.5 since last July so I'm a happy camper lol

Wahoo, Urbandeccay!!!  Nice work.  I tell you, that stupid Flow is the devil!  Nice that you good a good read on that scale though!!  Yeah!

Thanks. After I posted that I went for a 5 mile walk. It was definitely a good motivator to continue doing what I've been doing. Hope you guys are all doing well :)

Oh man, the weight is coming off sloooow. I've been working out diligently and eating right but I'm impatient by nature! My scale is frustrating as well, since it keeps giving me different numbers!

Well done 3lbs down is brilliant!!!

Goddess: I totally understand, I'm really impatient as well and when I make an effort to do something I like to see immediate results. I know I really need to be patient as it can be so easy to give up. I have done that in the past when I haven't lost any weight I've given up and then gone and ordered a pizza. I lost over 40lbs before so I can do this (so I keep telling myself :0)

It's the weekends I really need to watch out for!

I've lost onnne lb, but must admit I forgot I joined this!
