Thanks to all who joined this post/challenge.  It has helped me tremendously to have a WHOLE BUNCH of people on my mind as I make choices.....

Olivia - Thank YOU!!! You started us all off and we are all doing so well. Everytime I reach for something bad or think about being bad with my eating or not doing exercise I think of you guys and I'm right back on track!!!Laughing

Alright you guys - my personal new "habit" starts Monday, 15 minutes of great yoga stretching to the sounds of my birdies singing to me... Doesn't that sound lovely?

Anyway - finally I didn't listen and weighed myself and guess what   I LOST A pound!  WOOHOO only 9 more to go...

Starting weight - 177.8 (I think)  Last week 178.6

Current weight - 176.8 (with TOM present - which means I should be even less)
Olivia - your amazing!  We really owe a lot to you for being your awesome self and starting this thread!  We wouldn't be here without you!  Love ya peanut butter!

hey girls,

I don't have any good news regarding my weight other than the fact I didn't gain any.

I am still at 220lb(god I hate writing that!) but this week I wasn't able to work out as much I have a horrible chest cough. I was super good about eating so I thought I would lose at least a lb or 2. but I am still optimistic and after food shopping last night, I will be bringing my lunch to work. Who actually knows if what you are eating is really ok when you haven't cooked it yourself and there is no label. So maybe that will make all the difference. 

Congrats to all the losers and some us who have atleast stayed the same.

I go online just to talk to you girls!!! I love this challenge you girls ROCK! You keep me on the right track.

Amaresmom - Not sure if there is anything scientific about this but I seem to retain water when I am sick, I believe it's your bodies natural way to fight off the germs, but I am not sure.  That's just me... Hopefully it's you too...

Kr - I too love the journaling aspect of this site too!  All the friends that I've made!  It's so exciting to have all you people in my life!

amaresmom -- I gained 16 lbs in 5 days when I had brocnhitis -- no worries ,lady.  Get well!

I am 31 on Sunday -- how did that happen?    I feel special; one of the ladies at my school/work decorated my calssroom door and made me treats.  Bad treats, but I think I will indulge just as little and make sure I run tonight!

No good news here...I've been bloated all week and it shows in the scale...I get this way 2 weeks before my period and then on day 2 of period the bloating goes away...Very depressing when trying to lose weight...I look forward to next week, I'll keep on trying...All you ladies are so inspiring! Thanks olivia for starting this!

Still sick but not as bad. Major head cold. They told me to take another day off work today. So I will. And I'm Still taking my girls to the babysitter.

It's been 5 weeks since I joined CC. Today I have lost 10LBS!!!

Weigh in this morning at 149. 0 from 151 last week, and starting to see and feel a difference. I really think the water thing helps alot, although cos my dorm is so dry Im always thirsty. 

Well see how exercise goes the next week and a half, Im a spotlight op for a play called "Working" and that involves a lot of standing since there's no chair that I can sit in while my light is on, which is  alot.... but not much actual exercising and Illl be there 6-10 every night. So... we'll see. Ill definitely try to eat just a little less this week. 

 

Im excited for everyone who's doing well and or having a Birthday!!!!! :)

To those bloaty and blah - no worries girls! Just keep up the good work! I am still bloaty and blah but.....

I weighed in today! I have lost .5 lbs since last weigh in. I still think I am retaining water, so will weigh again on Monday when period is officially over. But, the awesome news is......I LOST 3.5 INCHES!!!!!!! That's a total of 6 since last week! So, I am not really discouraged on the lack (thereof) of weight loss. Technically, I have lost!!!! I'm chuffed!!!Smile

oh... so I wanted/needed to tell someone about this...

I got my shape magazine in the mail yesterday (which I'm beginning to hate) and I was reading about a workout for a beach body and first, they were suggesting to use 3 LB WEIGHTS? and second, the model doing these had the physique of an ironing board... seriously... she was rail-thin and had absolutely NO curves... I was boardline nauseous.... ugh.. WTF? why would they put someone like that in, what is supposed to be, a fitness magazine?!

/end rant :)

uhhh ..I use 3 pound weights and 5 pound weights.  What's wrong?

 

Wont be able to get to a computer over the weekend, so everyone have a good one, make good choices, and have great birthdays!!!

Nothing really :) I was more complaining about her body type.. :) but for weight-lifting routines it's good to use higher weights/lower reps to get a better workout and build more muscle, resulting in more fat loss.. not sure about the techincal aspect.. but that's what I've picked up from a few articles and posts around here :)

I'm a firm believer in, doing something is better than nothing, so whatever works! :) It just seemed that for a FITNESS magazine they were promoting really light weights for what was supposed to be the 4th month into a solid workout routine... ya know? not tryin to put anyone's workouts down :)
