Hi everyone! Wow - it seems like a lot of people are doing great on their weigh-ins, congratulations everyone!! And those who are not weighing in today, or who didn't lose, I am very impressed with all the healthy attitudes on here. Way to go people!
Well I started this journey on Sunday/Monday at 173.6 lbs, and today I am at 172.2, so that is a loss of 1.4 lbs which is right on target for me. YAY! My goal for May 20 is 160 lbs. which is right around 2 lbs per week. My ultimate goal is 140-ish. I won't know until I get there really... right now I would just be thrilled to see 160 again.
Olivia - you are kicking a$$ and taking names!! Way to go girl.
Amaresmom - jump rope?!? that is greatness. Wow I don't know that I would have the guts to do that in the park. I have visions of my huge boobs flopping all over the place, hee hee!!
Zochia - good for you!! You have soo much energy, it makes me sleepy just reading all that ;)
All the newbies - welcome to our lil motivating group.
Talk to all of you bodacious babes later!! TGIF!! I have a very busy weekend ahead of me with a wedding, and going to see Bruce Springsteen. But the weather is going to be perfect and I am just so glad it's Friday!!
xoxo -

I'm going to start with my first weigh-in day to make me feel better)
- March 28th - 147
- April 3rd - 142.5
- April 11th - 143 (was 142 yesterday)
My real start was at 142, so I'm up a pound, but I'm bloated, TOM is coming, and I ate too much sodium yesterday. Go figure, right? Next week will be better. Congrats to all of you with your amazing losses. You're all doing so great!
134.4 up from 133.2 ![]()
Very discouraged but really happy for those who are losing and those who have a better attitude than I![]()
I have a question re: daily calories. Do you guys all eat the same amount of calories each and every day of the week? Or do you have a cheat day/maintenance day in there too?
I'm wondering about the whole boost the metabolism or "trick" the body by eating more cals one day a week. Or something like that.
Any thoughts or experience on this?
My scale says 206. I'll reweigh at Jazzercise today to see what their scale says. BTW - I walked 3 miles today. Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm off to class. Hope I can do the whole hour after that walk. I've decided to make Saturday my day off each week.
Update-I went to Jazzercize and actually sweated more today than I ever have before. I did use their scale and........It went from 215.6 on Wednesday (214.8 on 4/2) to 209.8 so that is exactly 5 pounds since the 2nd of April when I started the program. I had to come home and check my calories. I had burned more in workout than I had eaten. I'm finally about balanced out for the day and I still need to eat dinner. Good luck everyone. I'm hoping to walk another 3 miles or so tomorrow with the whole family minus the dog...he's too scary when the cars come by.
Im at 149.0 today.
Ive not been working out too hard (actually haven't since I ran three miles on... holy crap that was sunday)... or drinking enough water because of the show, it's just hard to work stuff in, and we're not allowed water in the catwalks cos of electricity stuff.
I will SO be trying harder once again starting Monday :)
Still don't have a working scale so the weigh-in will have to wait. BUT today whilst excercising, I ran for over an extra minute on the treadmill and felt DAMN good about it. My excitement overshadowed my exhaustion brilliantly! So that is my proud moment, as it were.
Also, it's odd, but it seems getting healthier can make you even more appreciative of your body. I like my curves and I think they're sultry. I realize that I don't need to be stick thin and have never wanted to be, so I'll health myself up and look rockin in the process.
Have a wonderful day all you gals and folks. Have a wonderful day.
.me.
i sort of zig zag my calories.
upping them too much results in weight gain for me. keeping on track and eating 1200-1300 makes me lose weight
TO the losers, congrats!
If this was not your best week, fret not. Next week will be better. Chin up!
I don;t actively log on cc here anymore..... I am a walking book of calorie counts though, and I do keep close track of my cals all the time. I am really strict through the week, and then usually on Saturday we go bowl with my parents and then out to eat. I try to order something I like but that I can accurately tally the cals on (Applebee's and Chili's both have meals I love that are WW or "healthy"). SO long answer made short, I do have one meal a week where I am less strict with myself.
I agree though.... For me, a cheat --DAY-- would result in too much I think.... Just depends on each individual --- for me, if I eat badly all day long, I feel panicky and I want to restrict too much to compensate which is silly because I "allowed" myself an indulgence, but then I feel bad, etc, etc, etc. A glimpse inside my crazy brain (end scene)
=P have great weekends, ladies. I am generally back and forth all weekend. If you are bored, check in! ( : I like to have people to talk to!
have a great weekend too!
sleeping in past 7AM = good weekend for me
sw -152 , last friday- 150.5, this friday 150.2.
I'm at TTOM though so I think in a week or two I will see a good drop! SOooooo close to the 140s but it seems so far away!
You all have been so motivating for me! Hearing about all the exercising everyone else is doing makes me want to push myself harder when I'm exercising and not just do the absolute minimum.
Congrats on the weight loses and healthier lifestyles cheermom, kimanne, zenasavvy, zochia, krrpt, olivia and tracigil!
Ok....off to do some pilates....I'll think of you all when I need that extra motivitation to keep going!
sorry, double post
Original Post by ka2007:
okay!i am not a person who would thrive on mini-goals such as this normally, but your post souned very motivating. so yes, count me in!
start weight (ie march 25 i think:) 232 lbs
goal weight for the mini goal: 222 lbs
todays weight 224 lbs
lost: 8 lbs
Sorry.... scratch all of that I weighed again and its fine!!! I think it was some weird morning fluk. Anyway I am ok now. All is well in the world again. LOL
YAY, ka! I am over the 1- lb goal now --- wanna up the ante and say 15 or 20 as your goal for May 24th? I made mine 20....something to shoot for!
This post keeps me from being bad all week. Monday I think, ok, self. The weigh in is coming --- you just had the weekend off of work, so there's no stress eating excuse, etc. Tuesday we eat with J's parents, so I just concentrate on making the absolute best choices I can (and get a jog in before we go) The rest of the week the self statements are the same --> the weigh in is right around the corner! it is all a mental tricl, but the same is true for my workouts. I want to be able to say I did exercise, and when I feel like cutting my jog short (Happened on Thursday), I turned the corner to go home, but I kept running and ran another mile and some past my original stop point because.....well, because I could and I was jsut being lazy with the short cardio session. ( :
YES< amaresmom! Happens to me all the time..........Working out may have caused you to hold some water weight....maybethe burger was a little more sodium than the bod liked, same water problem.... did skipping your snack make you hungrier later? Keep an eye on it all weekend, and post a down weight as I sure it will dip back down soon, girl!!!!
(lol)
hi olivia! lets do it!
for me, 20 pounds till may 24 = goal weight 212 lbs=96 kilos will be good (using metrics, i cannot wait to be under 100:)
Okay weigh in a day late since work has just jumped in busyness (that is a good thing) so didn't have much of a chance to log in anywhere yesterday. :) But after having had a bad week I knew that the scale was not going to be kind, and yup, I was at 194, up 2 lbs. :(((( But it did motivate me to make better choices yesterday and kick my butt for letting me slack. Today it was down again at 192 and I am determined to keep it down! Tuesday my twins turn one and I was looking through photos of when they were first born and came across one where they are like 3 days old and I am HUGE! Mind you I was post partum but as much as I like to blame my size on a twin pregnancy, I gained the LEAST with their pregnancy compared to my other 2. And right after birth weighed the same as I did the day I found out I was pregnant. Seeing that pix though helped me realize that though its been slow, I have come a long way and I didn't gain all this weight in a day or a year and it will take a while to get it gone again. Just have to focus on the long term goals. And pull out that pix when I start getting frustrated. :) Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!!

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
