Hay everyone, good news - still on the South Beach and on day 6 now!
I managed to only slip once over the weekend due to being at someones house and not having a choice but I still didn't have any desert. Still at 153lb so 6lb to go but feeling and looking thinner already! I have stopped having sugar cravings as well which is very odd.
Ran 2 miles on sat and 2.5 on sunday (not as much as usual due to lack of carbs = no energy. Will try and run tonight.
Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been around much. Just wanted to pop in and tell you that my weight today was the exact same this week 172.2. I'll take it as that's better than gaining! I've had some ups and downs but got back on track over the weekend. Today I will be bad as I'm having a celebratory lunch because I won an award at work last week (go me!!) but other than that I am trying to plan out my meals for the day so I don't have the urge to get fast food (like I have been doing). It's good to see everyone doing so great! I will try to be better about checking in this week.

Hi everyone! Been busy and haven't posted much...Weigh in on friday was 156.4...Last week was TTOM and I weighed 158.2 that was up from 156.4 so I'm back to where I was the week before...Sounds like everyone is doing good! I hope that the weekend was good for all of you...I ate too much and didn't exercise, but I'm back on tack now...I did 30 min of cardio and had a healthy breakfast...In a liitle while before I have lunch I will lift weights...Today is upper body...Yay! LOL I like lower body more so, but I guess to have a nice toned body I still have to do the upper half...

Mornin everyone. I was really bad this weekend. had spagetti with my kids at 5pm on friday. Then my bf took me out for dinner at 8. Saturday was going good until I skipped dinner and drank instead. My babysitter had a birthday party for her hubby. I was fine with my beer but then the shooters started. 5 or 6 beer and too many shooters = very bad hangover. still have a headache today. I'm going for a run this afternoon. I'm gonna get back on track!
Ok so I may have cheated a tiny bit last night -
Found out that Charles (fiance) has passed his exam to become a chartered surveyor (culmination of 7 years worth of work). SO so so happy for him so we had to celebrate (these things dont happen everyday). So cheated the Phase 1 with lots of peanuts, a slice of pizza and a glass of champage. Weight has gone up 0.5lb today but I am still ok as I am going to carry on today as I was and get at least to 152 by friday.

all is well here (except i have gained 1-2 pounds after the weekend but i take it cool, that are just fluctuations:)
had a really busy day (spent half the day in town, various meetings etc, so i walked a lot, purposedly chose longer ways to go to places - enjoyed it very much:)
now am at a night shift at job2, trying not to sit all the time, etc. gonna spend a few days with family in their weekend cabin, seems like lots of walking in the woods.
So our next weigh in is friday?
I did pretty well this week. I am so excited now to be eating better and working out, I actually look forward to my walks and workout.
It is getting real quiet in here! I noticed.
Well how about I stir things up as I am known for being good at that!!
First off, I got my grade in Quantitative Analysis and it was a BIG, EFFIN BBBBB!!!!!! Hell yeah!
Second, I have been on the South Beach diet and have been doing really well. I had some gorgeous tuna steak last night with chickpeas made Indian style (it's called channa masala).
Third, I HAVE LOST ONE POUND!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Hell yes again!!!
So, I think I am back on track. The SBD really has left me satisfied and I haven't really had any withdrawals although I had a tremendous sugar headache yesterday! If I could have dinner like I had last night all the time I'd be modelesque!![]()

Day 7 of the SB phase 1 and doing well for me at all. It is so weird the was you just don't have cravings for sugar or anything after a while. I will have to make my transition to phase 2 carefully in a week but I think if it goes well it is an excellent way to lose weight and really suits me!

good morning :) work has been keeping me really busy lately but that's ok :) I like my job/boss so I don't mind.
I'll be popping in Friday for weigh-in.. feeling pretty good, but we'll see what the scale thinks :) I've still been working out daily and it's going well... I still ♥ weights ;)
I think I passed a 140 wpm typing test last night!! (going to school for Court Reporting, btw..) I'd be so excited! Then on to the 160's.... :D

I had a few weak moments the past several days which made me so angry with myself. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! But somehow I managed to maintain, which really surprised me. Crazy hormones making me crave sweets.
I looked at a box of chocolate turtle candy sitting on my microwave for a week...........then finally gave in and had one. The next day a second, and the next day a third! Then I gave into the cookies and cream icecream which had been in the freezer for a week untouched by me.........I had a cup!
The next day I gave into the butter pecan icecream and had a cup! Then the leftover cake in the fridge sitting there for a week called me..........I ate a piece. The next day I turned around and ate 2 pieces! Talk about angry! But somehow I managed to maintain my weight because I was walking everyday.
In fact I was so angry for eating sweets I increased my walking and yesterday walked 20,000 steps, which is a total of 10 miles in five 30 minute walking sessions :) Well it did the trick I guess, because the scale said 99.0 today! Woo Hoo! Ninety Nine Point Zero!
Just 4 more pounds and I'll be back down to 95 pounds again. I am soooooo relieved. It's been a real battle, as I started out at 120.6 lbs January 1st. So I am very happy I have hung in here and persevered. It's been soooooooo worth it! Hope all of you are having a good week. I see the Dr today......it's been exactly four weeks since my last appt and I've lost 5 lbs 2 ounces. He will probably tell me it's time to maintain I imagine. * Sigh * Just four more lbs and I'll be happy. Talk to you all on Friday. Keep up the great work. I love reading your posts!

Doing well on this end --- J's mom gave us some Fiber One granola bars, oats and chocolate. I just had one for my snack instead of my banana. It was yummy and since I shugged some water too -- I feel very full.
I have Friday off to go to the doctor, so YAY for two more work days (and today is half over) : D
seems like everybody is doing quite nice!
i will be going away from tomorrow afternoon till sunday late night (parents' weekend cabin) so i will not weigh in on friday, but will do so thu morning ie tomorrow.
did a BIG food shopping trip today when i went home from work: my parents will have some eggs and probably some frozen veggies, but i cannot expect much of a variety AND i do not want to be eating too much off their food (food is not very cheap here and they are semi-retired and their income is much smaller than mine, so i always take care not to put too much of a strain on their budget when i visit).
i am using public transport to get to their place tomorrow, so i am going to be this funny person with a huge backpack full of cottage cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, yogurt, carrots and tofu, hehe. it will be quite heavy but at least i burn more calories carrying it! (when i carry something heavy, it is always less heavy than the amount of the fat i have lost during this year, so - huffing and puffing with the big bag(s), i always say to myself what was i doing to my ankles, duh).
i plan to do a lot of garden work and some walking in the woods. not too crazy, as the primary aim is to relax, hehe.
