I was given the ultimate gift for Xmas --- a vacation to LA and Vegas.
I want to lose 10 lbs before we fly out on May 24th.

Made it through the day with sodium level in check and fat grams in the appropriate range!  Was more active than usual....working an extra shift Sat night (thank God for that because I lost at the "boat") and working Sun night so cal count will be less than normal and calorie burn will be up......hoping weigh in will be ok..  :)

 

My challenge start weight was 152, and I hit 145 this morning - so 7lbs by May 24th!  My goal for July 4th is 138 - 140.  Once I get there all of my 'skinny' clothes should fit great!

I hope everyone has fun this weekend AND stays on track!  Not easy but we can do it!

Hi Girls,

Despite dancing to some oldies " Foreigner " and " Bob Segar " for a total of 2 hours yesterday...............( in 3 dance sessions ) I maintained my weight!  Grrrrrrrrrr  So I fell short 12 ounces of meeting my 10 pound weight loss goal by today, May 24th.  :(  But I am satisfied anyway.  My original goal was to get back down to 95 pounds. (  I am 5 ' 0 '' tall, with a small frame. )  I started out at 120.6 on January 1st, so I have lost 26 pounds in 22 1/2 weeks, which was a safe rate to lose.  I've been a healthy 85 pounds before, but think it better and safer if I do not go below 90 pounds.  I've got to start working on a maintainance plan this week, although I still have 4 pounds to lose. Here are my stats.  Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!  Please do be careful if you are out on the highways and interstate!

I remember that particular goal myself. I had an event and set my goal at 212 in 1 week and made it too. You have another week too -- maybe 95 kilos?

ok ok:-) the doctor appointment planned for may 21 was postponed so i will get there maybe even a bit slimmer:-) 95 kilos on may 24 sounds doable!

i was not able to weigh in on may 24 (had to go to london for a last minute business trip. loved it!) so that i do not know what was my weight on that day, probably 96 kilos i guess, as i was not eating extremely well on the days before. anyways i WILL aim for losing more pounds/kilos by july 4, it seems doable to me.

lets say my aim is to be 86 kilos by july 4. i would be happy to be 90 thoug, i cann ot expect an extremely big weight loss. in my experience, losing 10 kilos in more than one month is possible when i eat well and move, but as the weight gets lower, the calorie deficit becomes smaller:-)

I just hope not to have to backtrack when I get home because of eating on vacation (despite REALLY trying to make good choices) and praying all the walking is enough.....

Yay! I'm glad this continues!

My start weight with last challenge was 176.8 and end weight was 168.4 for a 8.4 lbs loss for that challenge! Didn't lost 10 but very proud of what was accomplished!

How was everybody's weekend? I am happy to say that mine went well- no overeating (or minimal) and I ran a 10k on Monday with my best time yet...

It's quiet around here...Hope everyone is doing good! I had such a great workout the past 2 days, but I'm really sore...You should see me when I get up from sitting it's kind of comical...LOL!! Been eating good too and I hope it shows up on the scale...This past weekend I ate crappy so I don't know how bad that will hurt me...Keep up all the good work ladies!

I'm back from Memorial day weekend, and am back to 174.  DAMN!

Anyways... I'm going to really get serious.  I wanted to get down to 165 by may 24, but if you really think about it, I lost, at most, one pound.

Maybe it'll be easier this time.

hey hey everyone! been a while since i last posted! it's been really really crazy at work. anyway, i also went on a holiday and god knows what that did to my weight! water and fat all mixed together, i gained SIX lbs. in five days, haha. glad to see me back to normal now though. i've lost track of my last weigh in but i am happy to report that i am at my lowest now... i started at 196 lbs last april 4 and i am now 182 lbs.... woohoo!!! feels great, it really really does... but i need to update my wardrobe. i cant wear most of my clothes anymore because they're all too big (i have lost a total of 28 lbs since i last updated my wardrobe) so that sucks... but since i still need to lose 50lbs. more, i'm not really into buying new clothes... guess it's time to go see my neighborhood altrerer :)

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.  I've been so busy with trying to customize an exercise program, and keep up my journal, I haven't even had time to read e-mail, let alone peruse the forums I enjoy so much.

I'm trying to incorporate a little exercise in everyday using an exercise ball, resistance bands, and an exercise step.  I'm also enjoying dancing to some good CD's as well as my walks.  I'm at 93.2 today, and working on a maintainance plan, although I would like to see 90 lbs before I innitiate the maintainance phase.    I just know I am going to gain a few pounds back when I start juggling the calories around. 

I had a nice Memorial Day weekend with my family.  Lots of good food.  I made wise choices, and kept my portions small!  Everyone noticed I've lost a lot of weight, and say I look good, but  also say I'd better be careful now, and I agree.  I have lost 27 pounds since January 1st.  27 pounds in 21 weeks. 

 I saw the Dr last week for my annual check up we ladies should all be getting, ( pap test )  as well as a physical.  Everything is ok.  I even had a mammogram and received my letters in the mail stating all is well.  :)   Both ends, lol.   ( Thank-you Heavenly Father! )

Hope everyone is doing great this week, and hang in their girls!  It sure didn't happen overnite for me.  I did this slowly and carefully.  I highly recommend an hour of exercise a day for all of us.  Did you know that regular exercise lowers our risk of breast cancer by as much as 60 %!?   Take care,

Hey ladies,

I successfully ran in the heat!!!. No dehydration this time! I carried my water bottle with me. It was a bit awkward, but I needed it. I went 30 minutes. would have liked to go long but I got a late start and had to be back to let my sitter go home. Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. I've stayed away from the scale all week!

My daughter got bit by something(spider i think) last night. Its blistered and red and puffy. I traced around it with a marker so I know if it gets bigger. If she gets a fever we're going to the hospital.

Thanks for the info Rachel. Breast cancer runs big time in my family. Good to know what I'm doing might be helping.
