that stinks, zena ---   sodium and the truck.  ( ;   I do the same thing --  sodium is a tough one for me personally.   It sticks with me for a long time -- even with lots of water.   

I saw 168 for the first time since my weight took a huge spike in late April? Early May? when I started and stopped taking the mood meds for a week.   WOO HOO----  lowest is 166, but it;s coming.  I can feel it!!!
I am logging in to post my weight for tomorrow ---   166!!!!!!!!!!   woo hoo!!!!

Hi everyone.

I tried to use my elliptical last night(first time since getting sick). I only made it 10 minutes before my cough took over my breathing. I did swim for 20 minutes earlier. So hot, thankfully my parents have a pool. I'm not able to run anymoreCry. 100+ is too hot for me to run and I can't find a babysitter that can watch my kids at 6am. I will start using my elliptical more, but its not the same.

Oh well. I won't be making my 7/4 goal but that's OK! I'm happy I've made it this far. 6 lbs to my goal. Not sure I'm happy with that, thinking bout changing my goal to 145. That would make it 13 to go. Hmm...I'll wait till I get to my first goal before I decide for sure.

HI All I am up a bit at 133.1; I just want to break the 130 mark and stay below it.  Why Oh Why can't I.  I cut out ice cream.  I practically cut out beer....I am having some this weekend....bring on the truck/train/ship/plane!!!!!

immom - I finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis so he gave me some antibiotics and codiene cough syrup.  Talk about wild dreams.  If I would just write them down I could be the next Stephen King or Dean Koontz.......Surprised

I am going to change up my workout....what do you think (anyone)?  I am going to lift heavy weights 8-12 reps, 2 or 3 sets; probably for 1/2 hour.  Then I am going to do hardcore cardio for 15 minutes.  I have been spending too much time doing cardio which I hate so I think it is just not working.  I like the weights so I will spend more time on them and do it like a "man" but not have to worry about bulking because we are not made to.  Anyone have any thoughts or comments.....

I did it. I changed my goal from 152 to 145.

I NEED TO KICK MYSELF BACK TO THE TRACK SO THIS WILL BE IT:)))

i am at 1800 cals today and was walkign for about an hour, so it is ok, and i feel good again, but need to get back under 200 asap, or i am one nervous young woman:-)

had a big tangerine and two cups of carrots today, two cups of rocket salad, and 1.5 cup of very lovely grapes. just came back from a short shopping trip during my work break, and for tomorrow and monday i have bought thee pink grapefruits, a granny smith apple, a green pepper, plus some yogurt with pineapple. should be good. have to have a supply of inviting, fresh fruit and vegetebles near me, it ought to help me to have a healthy diet...

hope you have a nice weekend, my holiday (from main job) has officially started, so i feel relaxed and anticipate really pleasant times...

by the way, what about a new post title? any goal dates in mind?

I was thinking maybe August 15th or something for right before my work/school starts again......    I am up for a new title.  have one in mind? how about this?  what do we want to talk about?  I am very much enjoying the gangbuster back and forth in my conscious calorie counting post.  ( : 

I had gottage cheese, cantaloupe and grapes yesterday, spinach salad.  delish.  the grapes weren;t good though -- I got a new kind, black widow I thought and they aren't sweet at all...  I'll get some red ones when we are in town later.  I love my cantaloupe though! 

I shopped for like 3 hours, spending lots of $$$ on new school clothes yesterday.   I got tons of cute stuff that fits and feels good.   stuff I think will still fit when I have lost 15-20 more lbs....    that has to count for at least 30 minutes worth and I jogged my usual 4 mile route today.   I met the water challenge and then some with my "one no cal drink for every drink drink July 4th weekend" challenge.   yay!!      I ate too much cal wise with some splurging, but overall, a successful fun fun fun time.   worth it and I feel like taking vanity pictures in some of my new clothes and putting an album on facebook.  lol    I felt cute this weekend.    I remember the outfits I wore 2 summers ago after leaving the hospital.  July 4th was 5 days after my release --- lots of perspeictive there. 

love cantaloupe! i have not seen any for days, and i di look for it. hopefully will get some soon.

rocket, or rosket salad, is a leafy vegetable that has a strong aroma-it can be used on its own or, some prefer it as just an addition to meals. i googled a pic for you here http://www.worldofstock.com/slides/PFO3004.jp g

as for the title of the post, i will leave it up to you... whatever keeps us going:-) any august date is good for me, and i will surely post here whatever name the thread is...

it is great that you got those new clothes, and also good idea to buy some too-small-now-but-good-as-motivation pieces. i have done this with trousers recently, and like wearing the "motivation pants" now. an a smaller pair bought in london recently sits there quietly (well, it somtimes calls my name, as does food in the fridge. the question is, who wins?.)

they look like dandelion greens.  yum.  I love stuff like that. 

how about friends for losers?  lol

Goals

  • 2.5 liters of water daily
  • keep sodium less than 2500 mg
  • Get great looking arms lifting---and shrink my darn belly!!
  • Exercise 4 days a week
  • Lose 1 pound a week
  • Decrease alcohol consumption

I challenge everyone to try a new activity ---   I did today!

My bf sort of roundabout asked me to workout, so we did!!   I rode the bike for the first time tonight.   Well, correction.  Every other time I rode it, I hated it, maybe rode fro 3-5 minutes and quit.   Tonight, I put on mp3 player, rode it for 10 minutes, did arms and abs, did the Bowflex when he was done, and rode for 20 more minutes ----   10.5 miles, 389 cals supposedly.   My knee is a little sore, but not bad,  gonna iburprofen up tonight and test it jogging tomorrow.   It felt good to do and was sort of (gasp) fun???

I like friends for losers. lol. My bike is still in my storage room. Probably with flat tires. Maybe I'll work on getting it out and in working orderTongue out

I have not owned a real bike nor ridden one since I was like 12, mom.    : D   at least you have one......

I have, however, had that stinking stationary one for 13 years and maybe used it 5 times total for 5 minutes a piece.  here;s to using what you've got already!!!!!
