Lose 10 lbs by JULY 4th, 2008!
xoxoxoxox love you, girls!
--------------------------
I was given the ultimate gift for Xmas --- a vacation to LA and Vegas.
I want to lose 10 lbs before we fly out on May 24th.
Weekly weigh ins?
Motivating friends???
Anyone?
: D I know I am sure going to try hard as my goal is to buy and WEAR a bathing suit in public without a t-shirt or shorts.
Join Me?? ( ;
My name is Kim, I'm almost 26, and overall I'd like to lose 20 pounds, but 10 is a fabulous start (and my clothes would start to fit again!!!!).
I started at cc in 2006, got on the wagon and fell off the wagon a few too many times. Well, now I'm at my highest weight since starting at cc, so I'm as motivated as they come to whip myself into shape.
I came back on Friday and am in the joyous period where you get to lose all that WATER weight!!! So, my first official weigh in will be on Monday.
I'd love to join you all if you'll have me :)
I snack on celery, cauliflower, and laughing cow light as I type.... Just cut up veggies for the next week, had to have a few....We are going bowling with my parents a little later and then out to eat. Want to not be starving. WIll also make a bag of chex mix to take with, so I can pass on everything there.
immom -- ( ; be good today! sounds like it was fun though. I never get to do that...
amaresmom --- when everyone leaves tonight, do you have a self-reward in place if you met your goal? I would ( : use cc to fingure out long you have to walk/elliptical to make up for a 1 cup serving of mac and cheese and a piece of cb..... that always makes me want to NOT eat it.... gosh -- is it worth 3 extra hours? just a trick I use... I like that private --> public statement -- how true!
actually -- speaking of which, one of my cc girls said she was going to make it a goal to eat slower... which got me thinking..... I eat fast too. My job requires it, so I just do it... I have consciously tried to eat as slow as I could and think FULL and I feel like it has helped me A LOT at night time to avoid snacking after dinner..... just something I realized lately...
me too stacey/krppt -- how was the party?
mishellie -- I love soup and salad from chilcis-- chicken enchilada? and as far as activities, we sit around and talk, play card and board games, listen to my bro play guitar and sing along.... eating out is not the only fun thing to do..... start a new tradition! ( : Dang, girl ---- busy day. Have a good one!
WIsh me luck making my average bowling (100) and getting J to help fold his laundry.... he's good about starting it.............it;s just getting it dry and put away that is so hard....
This weekend has not been good for food choices. I have been sick and had the period munchies. Am willing myself to go to the gym tonight. Must be good next week! Gar!
My goal is to go to the gym every night this week. All of you have permission to kick my ass if I don't!!![]()
good idea kpersons - I'm gonna go out for a run or use my treadmill every day. Kick my a$$ too!
Im with you guys- only its running or dancing every day- I dance on Tuesdays and Thursdays... and then should run all the other ones. except MAYBE Friday.
Good idea gals! my goal is to take the stairs to and from my desk (10th floor) at least once everyday, walk home (3 to 3.5 mi) whenever it is not raining and to do strength training on Tuesday and Thursday!
I am wishing all of you a great week! Can't wait to see how everyone's hard work pays off!
Went to "the boat" yesterday and OMG the buffet..Hey if I pay over $20 for a meal....I am going to eat ...Didn't do TOOOO bad but I don't want to weigh tomorrow TTOM now and I weighed tonight at work (dressed but no shoes) and was not too happy (yesterday morning 164.2 and I was happy with that)
Oh well..THIS week I have got to exercise every day
Good luck and good going all
Hay everyone!
Well done to all the losers and everyone with new challenges!
Kpersons - I'm also going to try and exercise every night this week so I'm totally up for a but kicking if I dont succeed!
Did quite well over the weekend, although I went to my future mother in laws for sunday lunch and was planning on turning down desert until she said 'I made this tiramisu just for you cos I know you like it' Couldn't really say no then as I didn't want to offend (although I did say no when she asked me if I wanted to take the rest home!).
I see today as my proper start day I'm going to eat as much fruit and veg as possible and stick away from carbs this week until Friday (I may make an exception for some brown rice though). Any one up for trying this one with me? I will possibly allow myself a small amount of 85% chocolate as a treat everyother day. What do you reckon - anyone want to try it? Krrpt08?
Take care all, and if you feel like giving in just remember us!!!
good morning ladies!
up early this morning and just finished my first workout with my body sculpting bible for women book :D really liked it... so we'll see how it goes this week.. I weighed in at 139 this morning which is a pound down from last Monday, so, yay. I weigh in every day and may post from time to time if it's exciting ;) Did ok with all the challenges this weekend. My cheat meal Saturday night was actually not bad... a house salad, 2 potato skins, one onion ring and then a few fries when I got home... so, not too shabby! and, I stayed away from sugar ALL WEEKEND! go me :D but I didn't get any exercise :( pretty much b/c I was so busy... I didn't get a lot of free time..
I'm going to post this in the fitness forum as well, but how vital is the recommended resting time between exercises? The book suggest 90 seconds and over 8 different exercises, I just don't have time to waste 12 minutes at 415 in the morning... ya know? I rested for 30 seconds between everything after I tried 90 seconds 3x and realized just how long 90 seconds really is... lol..
I got a bag of fruit bits with mixed dried fruit that I put in my oatmeal... it is so good! it has raisins, gold raisins, cherries, apples, peaches, mangoes... yum.. and I added a tsp of sugar this morning to my oatmeal... just a tsp! :)
nothing else thrilling here... our hot water heater in the apartment is broken... I'm on day 2 with no shower :(
I didn't have a party to go to :) but I had a really fun weekend regardless! And, the machines I work on at work deal with plastic corrugated and it gets cut by going thru 2 larger rollers... really hard to explain... lol.. but yeah.. I'm twisting all day b/c I put material on a die and take it off when it comes back cut..
Schoolwork is for Court Reporting :) I was soooo lazy/busy this weekend and didn't really do anything having to do with homework... I'm a jerk.. lol... but I feel a little more motivated this morning for a good week :)
lol stephie... we're doing a minimal carb/sugar challenge as you write! :) little, to no BAD CARBS (white rice, white bread, white pasta.. etc..) and little to no ADDED SUGAR (candy, excess amounts in coffee/oatmeal... ) is this something you were thinking of ;)
ALL RIGHT!! WHO WANTED THEIR BUTTS KICKED IF THEY DIDN'T GO EXERCISE!! lol... :D I ♥ exercise so I can try to get you guys motivated!
When I went on my first complete jog the other day, the entire time I told myself, I did it... I didn't finish yet but I know I can do this, so I technically did it, I just have to get home... lol.. it helped ;) '
and don't forgetting your weight lifting!! if you aren't already, start! I'd say start with 5-8lbr's... 8's to 10's if you can :)
keep up the good work ladies!
Hay Krrpt, that is exactly what I was thinking. No bad carbs for me until Friday (I'm going to try it anyway) and the only sugar I will allow myself is going to be fruit, soya yogurts and very dark chocolate (the 85% choc only has a tiny bit of sugar in it). Will that fit in with your challenge? Not sure if I can do it but would welcome a little help!
tiramisu....drool.......
zena -- yum, but AGH. the boat is dangerous....
mich -- 10th floor? wowee, superwoman!
weekly goals girls -- get er done! I too plan to work out all 7 days. : D
have great weeks!
Monday........waking up sucks.
So this experience gave me such a wonderful inspiration this week - I will get my butt outside and do some major wogging again. The weather is finally starting to look great and what better thing to do than to enjoy it.
That was my good news. My bad news is that my weight is up a little from last week. I am up to 178.0 - that's a gain of .8 for the first week of this challenge. I gotta get my butt into gear! Happy Monday everyone!
lost 4.4 more pounds, that is 5.4 (was really good during the weekend, lots of walking:)
today i have arranged for a checkup at my endocrinologist. it is on may 21. this challenge is great - i want to be as light as possible (she has been telling me to lose weight for ages:)
Ka thats awesome, your doing really well. Keep going!!!!!
stephie- that would work! we aren't being too picky :) fruit is definitely ok... same with lf yogurt and stuff.. I think we are trying to avoid all the really bad stuff the best we can... most chocolates and stuff... I think very small servings of dark would be ok... it's gonna be tough, but well worth it, I think!
olivia- nope.. no kid party here ;) i think that was anje :) I think I'll go with the 30 second rests... i felt fine afterwards.. we'll see how I feel tomorrow.. I agree with waking up sucks.. but I was excited to do my new workout this morning so it wasn't so bad :)
jess- I love spring sounds :) and smells! I'm going to try and jog for my cardio days this week.. hopefully I can bike ride to work soon!! yay!
ka- nice job with the loss!!
That of course does not count you steph as you are in the UK! ;-)
Hi all! I am doing the workout all week with steph, as well as the no bad carbs. The sweet thing will have to be negotiated. Chocolate bingeing is quite common at this time. But, the dark stuff really is good and it's my favourite soooooooooooo, I am sure I will be grand. Anyone have a lowfat brownie recipe that doesn't taste like cardboard? I effin LOVE me some brownies. Could eat a whole panful if given the chance. Which I shan't be doing, but man it is tempting! ;-) LOL
Hurrah! to all that have lost. I looked in the mirror this morning and was pretty chuffed. It SEEMS like I look thinner. Anybody else get that? Still in my fat jeans though. But the Victoria's Secret pants are still way too big!
Am getting my exercise bike sometime this week too, so that will def make the working out everyday thing alot more easier.
Oh and btw, those pudding cups you guys were talking about the other day are absolutely effin delish! I LOVE THEM! I got the caramel one for my apples. It is going to be my dessert tonight! :-)
Ok krrpt count me in then and let it begin! Will probably stop for the weekend though as I'm always round at people houses and then it just gets difficult. How long have you been doing the low carb thing?
Kp - exercise bike - awesome, put in infront of the tv then you can just sit on it for ages!
