Hello guys and gals,

I'm back and I would like to start another challenge.  Last time when I did the "lose 10-15lbs" challenge, it helped me tremedendously -- I've actually lost 11 pounds during that month and a half.  I haven't reached my ultimate goal weight yet, and therefore would like to propose another challenge to keep each other motivated.  This time, I would like to challenge those interested to lose about 20 pounds by June 1st.  June = SUMMER!  We have exactly 17 weeks if we begin weigh-in's on this coming Sunday.  20 pounds in 17 weeks sounds like a reasonable goal right?  YES, we can do this!  I'll start:

Anyone care to join?  Official weigh-in's will begin this Sunday, Feb. 10th.  Let's do this everyone!

It would be great if everyone can edit their post to add the list of weigh-in days and update each week so I can easily keep track:

We have a final count of 50 eager participants in challenge. Since the minimum average weight loss goal for each person is 20 pounds (with some wanting to lose 15 pounds, while others 30 pounds), together we should lose at least 1000 pounds.  This is a group challenge, and therefore, everyone will be held responsible for reaching this goal weight loss.  Good luck and let's keep each other motivated...yah!

Week 1 -- Together, we have lost 64.5 pounds/940.0 pounds.  Go US!  The person who has lost the most weight is *** kevin_k *** -- losing 7.5 pounds in just 1 week -- very nice.  (I have to go now, job interview coming up, but I will update more -- and by the way, I'm quite impressed with the attendance for the first week and overall, everyone has done great.  I'm thinking of a penalty for those who haven't lost anything this week..lol )

Week 2 -- We have an overwhelming number of participants at this point.  The group will now officially close.  I just want to give a big welcome to all those who have just joined us. Since we have so many people, I realized that I have made mistakes in numbers here and there.  Please kindly correct me.  Also, I would really appreciate it if everyone can post their weigh-in and how much they have lost since the challenge.  Also, it would be great if everyone can just edit their original post when they weigh-in instead of making a new one -- it gets a little bit confusing for me. I see some of you guys already doing that and it has been really helpful.  So thank you for that. After 2 weeks of no weigh-in, I will take your name off the list unless you let me know.  Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have, the biggest loser for the challenge so far is: CHERRYWILD -- who had lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks, congrats. Everyone is doing great, keep up the hard work and motivation.

Next week will be better!

i hate having to lose weight that you've gained! i went from 167 to 165 the week before last...then i went away for a weekend and came home right back at 167. i guess i'm back where i was...which is great. even if it was a little bit roundabout.

plus...it's nearing my TOTM so maybe there's some water weight in there...and maybe it'll drop. either way...here we go! i'm so excited about what this challenge has in store for us! as a group...we're losing almost a THOUSAND POUNDS. that's awesome.

I just want to be clear. I go into my original post and edit to put my weight in, right? I had gone down to 149.5 yesterday but I ate 2 slices of pizza and birthday cake for my son's birthday. I haven't had any water today so I am way behind. I go back to school tomorrow so my pattern will be better. Good luck everyone else this week!!

that's right, it would be really helpful for me if everyone can edit their original post and fill in the list of weigh-in dates each sunday.  feel free to post any questions. i've been bad this past week also -- eating a lot of chinese/junk -- i'll be paying for it in the first weigh in...but promise to get back on track for next week.  we still have 15 weeks to go -- so hang in there ;0

penalize us???? I have a chronic back and leg disease that makes exercising practically impossible. I walk with a cane and there are days I'm in a wheelchair. You want to penalize me???? I'll drop out b4 I get humiliated. Losing this weight is the hardest thing I've done lately and extremely depressing at times when I don't lose. You don't know what's going on in our lives. I'm going to have to think about these challenges b4 I join. If I knew there was going to be consequences for not losing a pound, I wouldn't have joined.
momof2funykds:  Wow, I'm really sorry if I've upset you.  It was just a little humor...notice the "lol" at the end.  Come on, what could I possibly make you do if you aren't losing weight?  What I simply had in mind was for participants who haven't lost weight to get some of their frustrations out by posting about their situation (which you just did, which is great!), and perhaps others can help motivate/advice.  But that's by no means required :) ...relax.  I totally understand your situation and I commend you for standing up to challenges and staying motivated to pursue your goal.  Keep going, you're doing great!  Actually, I'm the one who's been slacking this week...not losing anything AND gaining some -- so the penalty comment, was really for me.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that 208 was my highest weight, not current weight! I WISH I would have lost 13 pounds but sadly, I did not! Check it out and you'll see...can you update the post so that the actual "Biggest Loser" for the week is announced!?!

hey....sorry. I am just really irritable and when I read that, it just "rubbed" me the wrong way. I'm just tired of trying, tired of not losing, tired of no results, just plain tired!!!  So again, I apologize.
Hey, no problem...I can see it'd be easy to do when you have to go through all of those different posts and stuff...I just don't want to steal the limelight from the actual winner!

Yikes! I don't know if I can deal with the bolded pressure Yell but I will try. I expect at least half of you to best me this week. I can't keep that rate up, especially since my burn meter numbers are going down for doing the same thing. That's a nice kick in the gut prize from our makers. Keep at it everyone!!!
