Hey! I'm about in the same boat (although my daughter is 7 so I can't use her as an excuse! LOL)

My SW is (was) 180.

My GW is 160!

I'm 5'7, 28 years old! I've been on this site for awhile...but have gone up and down (at 1 point I was 172 or so!), but then stopped being good about it and gained weight back. It's time to do it for real!

Hi everyone, I joined this sight a year or so ago. It seems I always come back when I've left my comfort zone. I too want to loose 20 pounds. I'm 5'7 and at this time I'm tipping the scale at 160. I'd like to get to the 140 mark along with all of you. Maybe this is what it will take. I hope it will keep me on track. The diet that I am on right now is counting calories. I just got done with the Atkins. I was at 168. I like to do atkins only to try to get off my sugar cravings.

Best of Luck to All

Renee

I hope everyone had a great day and feels good about their choices in exercise and food! Laughing I did 8 short sprints this morning. I don't like to run long distance. I also went for an hour walk this evening, after it cooled down.

Vicki - Hope your work out is good. I'm glad to hear you had a so/so day rather than a bad one.

Eisha - I hope your day was great and you are happy with how you did on your first day!

Renee - Welcome!! Happy you could join us. They others on here so far are supportive and seem happy to have our modern day "pen pals" I know I am! I just bought sugar free Fudge Dipped Vanilla Wafers - they're suprisingly delicious. I love sweets too...too much!!

Candi & Nikki - How are you and how did you two do today?

Hi all,

Just signed up today and ready to lose some weight.  I know the biggest issue with me is not snacking or drinking pop AND getting off my fat butt and moving!

5'7 and 165.  I would like to be 139 and maintain (but I'd be happy to be in the 140s again!)

Anyone use the wii fit??

Count me in!  I just had a little girl on June 11th and have been able to loose most of the weight I gained during her pregnancy, but I managed to gain about 85 lbs with my son, a little over 60 of which is still on me.   I would love to loose 20 lbs with you all.

SW  200

CW  196

GW  130

I look forward to us all reaching our goal!

Good Morning Everyone!

maredan, I'm with you. I'm having a hard time getting back to my work-out routine. I have been thinking about getting the wii-fit. If you get it let me know. They are expensive so I would rather not get it if its just going to collect dust. I'm not sure. Is there diffrent one's to choose from?

Tvictory, Thank you. I wasn't sure if I would get a reply. I'm excited. Hang in there with me. I hope this will be my final attempt to loose the 20pds. or more.  If we can all keep in touch at the least once a day we can keep each other motivated. I wish this had a spell check. Anyway, for the ones that will hang with me.

Mother of 3 oldest 13 ygst 6 at this time  homemaker. I do like to work-out, I'm keeping  a journal online of 1400 calories I think it is helping. I jump on the scale every morning and today I am 158.5. It could just be water loss but I'll take it. I like taking my vitamins, minerals, herbs anything to promote good health. I'm not much of a meet eater but must have my carbs.  I have to have a sweet at night so for now its sugar free pudding 60 cal. and 100 cal snack cookies. It's Yum and it is working for the sugar craving. I do like to drink freshed brewed Green Tea and that helps with the energy and helps keep my mind off of munching. Good luck to everyone today.

I would love to start with you. I need to lose 20lbs by October 1st!

How is everyone?

Hi, shermainega.

Where is everyone?  I hope everyone is still in on the 20 by Oct. 1st. I really hoping we will all stick together. I thought I was going to cave in last night. Any night owls out there. I did good but it was tough. I went out for dinner and was starving by the time we got to the restaurant. I wanted so bad to eat the garlic bread and the fried zucchini. I worked really hard at trying to control myself. It's the weekend and I know they ar tough for me to stay on track. This is what I tried and it worked. I downed three 16oz. bottles of water before dinner had a huge  plate of salad from the salad bar with alot of protien things minus the meat items used cottage cheese in place of the fatty dressings and ordered the grilled halibut with out the sauce and it came with steamed veggies and you could have wild rice instead of the potatoes. I was so glad the rice wasn't all that great,I love rice and ordered a side of some homemade creamy wasabi sauce they offered with the ahi tuna dish. It was great. I was able to pass up dessert and wait for my pudding and 100 cal snack cookies. It worked,I hope,I weighed and the scale was good to me 157.5. I hope its not just water. Good luck to everyone today. My there will be a night owl tonight. If so I'll talk with you later. We can keep each other focused for the weekend.

SW: 137

GW: 118

Height: 5'5"

I usually eat quite healthy, but potato chips are my biggest weakness. Does anyone have any great, low-cal snack ideas to replace chips (other than popcorn)?

Hi guys,

I need help too. I need to loose 40 pounds but I will be very satisfied if I can loose at least 15 pounds until October 31. I gained 44 pounds in five years, my reason is kids but my PhD. I stay almost 12 hours sitting... I can fit in any of my cloths...

Please let's keep in touch every week!

Bye

Goodmorning

Welcome to the new sign-in's

I crashed. I will be psitive about it. I dare not step on the scale this morning. I love to go to the farmer's market on Saturdays. That was my first mistake. They make this falafel pita that I just love and I have not had one this summer and so that was going to be my treat for the week. I COULD NOT BELIVE IT! They were not making them this Saturday so I started with the hummus pitathen on to the frozen yogurt. I have to say that was YUM-O. I was left just craving my falafel. I couldn't handle the pressure so from there I fell and fell hard. I played this mental game last night every time I put something in my mouth that I would just not eat anything tomorrow. Does anyone ever do that. Now it's just going to be so hard.  I also just found out that my husband will in town all week. He works out of town for most of the week so I'm not having to make huge dinners during the week only on the week ends. Thats why I say that the week-ends are the hardest. I think if I can get through today with little to no calorie intake I will make up for yesterday. Does anyone have good low calorie family dinner ideas? Talk with everyone later. Have a great day!
