This site is to promote healthy weight loss. If you have the stats you posted, then you are not pursuing a healthy weight loss and might need to consider seeing someone about your body image. JMHO.

Suggestion: Working on toning, not weight loss. According to the BMI tool here, your goal would make you underweight even if you were only 5'3" and not 5'3.5".
Okay I know its not Friday but I was gone yesterday. I've lost almost four pounds already :) I know this is probably not typical, but wow was I surprised.

Unfortunately I am up 1.5 lbs. I don't get enough excercise. I need to make better choices at resturants. I was down about .3 lb by Wednesday but the weekend and too much carbs., (made from scratch corn bread at Firefly, after church yesterday) did havoc. I hope I can get it into gear and start moving more this week. My other goal of healthier food for my family is going well. I have bought more whole grain, and organic foods, fruits. We are eating more nuts as well. These are higher in calories, I need to watch portions. I will check in next Monday with better news I hope!
Ok, after one week, i'm a liitle disappointed... ok, I lost .8 pounds so that's better than nothing, but with all the efforts that I have done, I feel not rewarded... I've been at least 5 times to the gym, played badminton, did the treadmill, went snow shoeing and I ate OK (cheated once or twice but nothing out of the ordinary).... Anyway, a new week is starting.... Hope most of you got better results than I did...

I did not change at all. Still at 175. Did not work out like I wanted and I everything in sight on Sat & Sun. Starting over again Monday. I guess we'll see how it goes.

So, according to the numbers I SHOULD have lost a pound, but instead gained .2. I suspect it has something to do with my workouts and water retention, I've been pretty sore at least twice this week. I'm not going to freak out. I'll continue on as normal, and see how next week goes (see, this is why I NEED long challenges like this one!)
Yay i'm now 153lbs, down 2 lbs, but i'm not gonna get to happy just in case the scales are wrong, and i can't remember weather my start weight was a morning or an evening (i obviously weighed more in the evening!!! and i weighed myself this morning, also my scale only measures to the closest half lb s i might b like 153.4 and i could have started @ 154.5!!)
I can b happy 4 now coz i didn't think last week was a very good week!! I had my birthday yummy cake, i'm soooo glad its all gone now, not as many temptations!!
still a long way to go!! Don't freak out if u haven't lost anything, just carry on eating as healthy as possable!!! Don't restrict yourself to much, i had 1 tiny piece of choccie to day!!! (i think i may eat 2 tiny pieces a week so i'm not restricting myself, my piece was less than 10g and it had 50 calories in it!!!!)

HI all, I had a good start. I weighed 148.5 this morning!!!
I actually saw 147.5 on thursday but with the weekend partying....I regained one pound. I hope I can lose my weight at this rate!!!!! That would be great!!!!!

The BMI system is not perfect because people are different. Also, many other sites list 18.5-25 as ideal. If you could see me, you would know that I am not starved, unhealthy or underweight. I don't think that typing in the stats that other people have shared out of a desire to work together towards a healthier life is appropriate or encouraging. And in the case that I did have an eating disorder or body image problems, your two-sentence intervention certainly lacked tact.

Wonderwall25: Did you have a good week? Do you want me to note your result for this week? As for mkculs's comments, everybody in this challenge has its own objectives and we're all assuming that if you are here, you take your health seriously and would not injure it by losing too much weight.

RRRRRRRRRRR i have just finished some swimming races, so i didn't swim as far as usual, and i ate one 46g bar of galaxey chocolate, 250calories, aaaaaaaaa even though i lost this week i'll b up again by the end of next week!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!! I don't want 2 fail, i realised @ my swimming gala how fat i look in a swimming costume, i can't even imagine what i'll look like in a bikini!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm scared!!!lol
thank you, roylucie. i did lose one pound so i am at 133. did you do well in your races, stephannalee? even that you raced is a huge accomplishment. i was on swim team and when you're working that hard you definitely need to refuel.
i like to think some of this is water or difference in diet, cos although i overate on 2 days, i deffo have eaten averagley less than usual and i went to the gym three days for 2 hours. it takes 3000 to make a lb so id have to eat that in excess and not burn any of it off in this week which i find is not right
