lose more weight? I don't want to = (
I'm 5'1 and around 106. Pre preg I was 110. After baby I was down to 115, wanted to lose 5 lbs, I've lost about 10 lbs now since jan 1st with this site. I weigh less now than I have in awhile, but my stomach still seems fat.. standing up its okay, but sitting down I have disgusting rolls... like bad. I didn't have these at 110, why now? Is it just extra skin? I dont want to lose anymore weight, I'm losing my butt and boobs...I'm very unhappy with my body right now. What can I do to help this?
I would really appriciate any help.
ok so I'm finding that people usually don't answer me because they feel I'm the typical stupid girl who says " omg I'm 100lbs and FAT" and I'm really not saying that, I'm just asking if anyone has been in my situation, or has advice. It upsets me that no one ever answers.
Not true at all. Sometimes it takes a while to get an answer. I'm short too so I get the whole weight with short legs bit. Only thing I can suggest is doing more toning exercises that really work core and seeing if that can't help you trim up. Could be extra skin or just that it's still stretched from pregnancy so toning should help with that.
Other then that no real answers since you can't spot train or spot lose weight. It's going to come off where it wants sadly. Wish we could but then nothing ever is that easy lol
I agree wth ladyduece. Just concentrate on toning exercises and such.
Kelly, are you doing any exercising, or just counting calories? If you're just counting calories then you're going to have to do some weight/strength training to get your stomach into better shape. Your stomach has been through a lot with a pregnancy, it won't just go back into shape all on its own, and in truth it may never look the same again as it did before you had baby.
Start eating just above your maintenance calories so you can gain back those extra 4 pounds, and get in some workouts - maybe something like Jillian's 30 Day Shred. Last year I lost weight, mostly by counting calories and doing cardio, but this time 'round I'm using weight/strength training as well and the difference in my stomach and the way my body looks is pretty remarkable.
And hey.. there's plenty of us 5'1" ladies on this site, so there's a lot of us who understand where you're at
.
I had the same problem after my first pregnancy. I am 5'1 also... I got back to my previous weight fairly quickly but I sure as heck did not look the same.
I think what happens is that the weight on the scale is the same but your body fat percentage is not. Unfortunately during pregnancy body fat percentage increases (good for baby, not good for mom's appearance)... So even though you weight the same you have less muscle and more fat....

I resolved it by excercising and building muscle...it took about 6 mths....
Then of course I had another baby and it all went to hell again but that's another story....
Depending on how old the baby is, it might also be that it's taking time for your body (skin) to adjust back.
Just like when someone who is heavy loses a lot of weight, it take time for the skin to readjust. It takes your body about a year to completely recover from a pregnancy. And it may never be exactly the same.
I'm 5'3". I weighed 104 after my first born. I had slight pudge but then it went away with exercise and my body getting back to normal. After my next child which was by c-section, I weighed more, 115 lbs but little pudge. Now after my my third by c-section. I've got a tummy. Now I have to really work at getting it to go away and it may never completely disappear but I've noticed that it is starting to shrink. Give yourself time for your body to re-adjust and some toning exercises should help. Good luck.
26 minutes means that no one is going to answer?
Patience is a virtue.
Pick up the weights girl! You need to build a muscle foundation and the flab will burn away.....at your size, it's not about losing weight, it's about losing fat and gaining muscle. I suggest getting a good weight routine going.
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
Suspect lactose intolerance when abdominal cramps are a problem, especially after breakfast when milk products are consumed. Lactose... Read more
